For 21 years I had watched roofing crews in my neighborhood and I believe the 8 man crew that was sent out that Saturday to do my roof was the best I have ever seen. They worked together like a championship football team. It was easy to choose Colony Roofing after having watched them do my sons roof 7 years earlier. I also want to give credit to the office staff.

After receiving an estimate from a competitor that significantly exceeded the generally accepted cost for such a repair, I contacted Colony and they provided an estimate based on a description of the problem area. Most importantly, they assured me that they would be able to have one of their technicians perform the repair within a week. Other competitors either refused to even provide a telephonic estimate or could not have someone evaluate the problem for several weeks. They were able to make the repair even sooner than anticipated and the technician, Jim, was very skilled at his trade.

The salesman that came out lacked personality and knowledge about coding in this area. They kept stalling and nothing seemed coordinated. They had pulled our permit for the garage. They put the wrong square footage and didn't fill out the application completely. The crew leader was a tyrant, screaming at the crew. I asked about a board that needed replaced, and he yelled at me. It seemed that they were rushing to get the job done. There were many issues with the work. They did fix it all, but they should have done it correctly the first time. I wouldn't recommend them. However, there were a few positives during this experience. One of the owners, who was prompt and understanding, came out to take a look at what I had a complaint about. I appreciated their readiness to work with the customer and make sure everything was okay. Also, the girls that work in the office were very pleasant and courteous. The crew was wonderful. They did clean up well and went to great lengths to protect my driveway, which was very much appreciated. The products that they used were good. We have a 10-year warranty with them, which is also good.

This company was very professional in providing an estimate, contract and written warranty. They did excellent work.

They came out and gave me a quote but I have never heard back from them. When they gave me the quote I told them I would not be home Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays due to school. They called on a Tuesday morning and said they were coming and I told them they couldn't because I would not be home. I have never heard from them again. My first impression was that the responded to my initial call and gave me a written quote. But when they called for the installation and I told them I would not be here they have never called back. I thought they were professional. They were one of the only ones that gave me a written quote. Their pricing was very reasonable.

Extremely positive experience. The whole job took only one day. Very professional crew. Everything was cleaned up perfectly.

When there was no snow or ice, Colony scheduled the roof's repair. [We also had Colony do the interior work.] The interior wall was fixed in two stages...what could be done while it was still cold;and the finish done (plaster repair and painting) when the weather warmed up.

They were pretty average and there was nothing outstanding.

Called Colony and described the problem. She told me it would be several days and, based on my description, would probably just cost the minimum for the visit. She was right on both counts. They called several days later to say they were ready to come out, and that no one had to be home (although my wife was there). They were friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient, and did not require any money up front. They sent a bill several days later.

They were pretty good. They came on time, they did the work completely. It was a fair price. They cleaned up everything and they were very respectful of my surroundings and everything.

This was the second time we had used their services. It went very well working with them. I was pleased with both the jobs they have done for me. I called them again because I was happy with the roof on my house. They did a super job cleaning up after they were done with the work.

Everything was top drawer. The roof is great, we love it. We like the shingles we choose. They did a great job. The young men that came to do this work were polite and gracious. I've never worked with these kind of people. They were very neat about what they were doing. They really cleaned up, it was beautiful. They did some extra things that they didn't have to. They left everything in tip top shape. They are reasonably priced. I can't say enough about them, we would highly recommend them to anyone.

Good and bad. Colony had originally done the roofing. I called in March for water dripping in near a vent and flashing. It was still icy and Joe said he'd have to wait until the weather warmed, and I never saw him again. I called again in April after a particularly heavy rain, and we had a nasty leak in the flat roof over the kitchen; the membrane had been ripped by a blown branch in the storm. Two workmen came out. They replaced the vent and installed a diverter behind it for the first leak. They did not check the flashing nearby. They patched the flat roof. With the next heavy rainstorm the first leak continued to drip, though much less. I had first mentioned that the leak may involve the flashing where the roofs joined as well as the vent. A different gentleman came 2 days later and repaired around the flashing, putting membrane under and a diverter. That has worked. I would feel better about them if they had returned after my first call in March. I called them because we had always used them.

I was very happy with them. They came out the day after I called them. The price was reasonable. There were two men that were here for half a day. I was happy with the price and the work.

They did exactly as proposed. We were glad to have found them and will consider using them for other jobs they perform!

It took them four weeks to get back to me with a quote and only after I called did I get a letter stating that they were too busy to accommodate me and "hoped" it didn't cause any inconvenience.

I received a prompt estimate. After my approval the work was completed in a very timely fashion. I came home from work one day and it was done. The price was fair and the same as other bidders.

Competitive bid among 6 bidders, not the cheapest but most complete of bids. Some other bidders never called back when questions on bid. Colony Roofing always did. Our bidding process took about 4 weeks and was thorough. The bid from Colony Roofing was substantially better than most competitors in completeness of items covered, not just price. When final bill came in, it was less than bid amount. Committed to start Nov. 1 but delayed about 2.5 weeks by rain; not their fault. Removed old roof in one day with only two people, very hard working. Replaced rotten wood sheets and shingled entire house (28 squares) in one day. Very professional job. The lead roofer had been with Colony Roofing company for 28 years. Very satisfied with final job.

The work itself seems fine, but their follow-up and customer service was deplorable.

My interaction with the roofer who did the work was absolutely excellent. I had to wait a long while (3 weeks) to have the repair done and had to call a few times to have them schedule the work. There was a small snafu regarding the parts but the roofer assigned to the work was so concerned and responsive (Jason) that it made up for the initial frustrating experience. Based on the roofers performance I would call Colony do to future work as needed.

HE CAME FOR AN ESTIMATE AT THE TIME ARRANGED and MADE A NUMBER OF GOOD SUGGESTIONS. THE ONLY REASON WE DIDN'T CHOOSE THEM IS THAT ANOTHER PERSON WAS A LITTLE LESS EXPENSIVE.

SO FAR I WOULD RATE THEIR WORK WAS GRADE "A". I WILL NOT BE BILLED UNTIL DOWNSPOUTS ARE INSTALLED.

WE HAD A GOOD EXPERIENCE OVERALL. THE WORKMANSHIP WAS VERY GOOD. THE MOST FRUSTRATING THING WAS WAITING FOR OUR TURN SINCE THERE WERE A LOT OF PEOPLE BEFORE US. ALSO, THE FIRST SKYLIGHT THAT CAME IN WAS THE WORK SIZE AND THERE WAS ANOTHER 7 WEEKS TO HAVE ONE MADE. HOWEVER, WHENEVER I CALLED FOR UPDATES, THE SALESMAN WOULD CALL ME BACK WITH INFORMATION.

CHRIS ARRIVED ALMOST 2 HOURS LATE FOR SCHEDULED APPOINTMENT ON JUNE 16TH FOR ESTIMATE. CHRIS SAID HE WOULD TAKE MEASUREMENTS AND PROVIDE ESTIMATE WITHIN ONE WEEK. OVER A MONTH LATER AND AFTER REPEATED PHONE CALLS TO COLONY, ESTIMATE WAS NEVER RECEIVED. AT ONE POINT, CHRIS CALLED TO APOLOGIZE FOR BEING LATE WITH ESTIMATE AND THAT I WOULD HAVE IT THE FOLLOWING WEEK. THAT DID NOT HAPPEN. I CAN ONLY ASSUME COLONY WAS NOT INTERESTED IN BIDDING ON THIS JOB, PERHAPS, BECAUSE IT WAS TOO LARGE AND CHALLENGING FOR THEM.

THE WORKERS WERE VERY COMPLETE, AND PROFESSIONAL. THEY DID A GREAT JOB!
