I hate home improvements but if they all went as well as this one did I would be doing more of them. They did an awesome job on the multiple rooms that needed repair. They went above and beyond to repair things and were incredibly polite and professional. It created quite a mess but when they were finished, they cleaned it up great. I would recommend them highly to anyone. Good quality work, showed up on time, were friendly and exceeded my expectations.

Amazing job! We had some old cork-board that had been a pained over and was tearing away from the joints in our large upstairs bedroom. We contracted with them to tear about the old board, install new drywall, and finish it. The workers were prompt, polite, and knowledgeable.

It went very well. They were timely and clean up after themselves.

Excellent. Under scheduled duration, and on budget. These guys are not the least expensive, but as far as I can tell they are the best around. You may wait to get them in to do work, but they show up when they say they will. An exception to the not unusual drill of 'We will be there Monday at 9', and then they show up Thursday at noon.

From every aspect it was a pleasure working with the team. They were professional, prompt, and the work was outstanding. We have a vaulted ceiling where 2 cracks along drywall seams appeared. They were over 18 feet up and on a textured surface. The professional who came to the house did an outstanding job of matching the finished work to the other texture. Awesome. I highly recommend this company.

One of my tools got mixed up with one of the worker's tools by accident. It really was my fault, but called company to ask if they could look for it. I was worried about sentimental value it had. They responded right away, found it, delivered it to me. I was so relieved Cost 580.00.

My wife and I spent days removing multiple layers of wallpaper that had built up since the 1970's on unsealed drywall. When we were done, we had removed a lot of the facing and exposed quite a few holes and previous patch work. I patched to the best of my ability (which leaves a lot of room for improvement!), and sealed the walls. If we wanted the renovation to reflect the time we had invested so far, we knew a pro had to be called in to finish. American provided a fair estimate and was able to begin the work within two weeks. The tradesman began the day arriving exactly when he said he would, and cleaned up thoroughly at the end of the day. Most importantly, though, the work performed was excellent. Knowing what the walls looked like before, it was amazing how smooth and uniform they turned out. (It's been several months, and I wish I could remember his name so I could request him on future jobs.) Looking back on this, we should have called American before we began the tear-down of the old paper. They may have had an alternative to the brute-force option we chose that could have saved us a lot of time and frustration. Our kitchen will be renovated soon, and it will require the same treatment as the bathroom. We will be calling American again.

Jeff Wilson's pricing was very competitive and they were prompt in both estimating and performing the plaster repair. The work looks flawless, and our plasterer seemed anxious to go above and beyond. Great pains were taken to keep everything virtually dust-free, and to accommodate the homeowner's schedule. This is what professional service looks like, folks.

Let me just say first and foremost: WOW. I still can't comprehend how these guys were able to match the different textures so perfectly. I had some expectations but I knew it wouldn't be perfect. WRONG. It's perfect. He squeezed us in as soon as he could, was very communicative, the two gentleman working at our house were on time (in fact, they were a few minutes early!). They respected the house, cleaned up after themselves, were pleasant to talk to, friendly and, again, FANTASTIC AT THEIR JOB. I can't say enough about how thrilled I am with the entire process with these guys- I will use them again hands down.

We were selling our house and needed these repairs done quickly. Jeff Wilson came out on the day we called and the next day had John at our house at 8:00 AM making repairs. John did an excellent and very thorough job with all of the work that needed to be done. He was on time, highly competent at his job, was courteous, and his clean up was outstanding. I would highly recommend American Plaster and Drywall.

Extremely happy with the finished product. I had told Jeff Wilson, that I was picky on the finished product and needed it done right. His man "Guy" delivered with an outstanding finish at all the seams and corners. We had a little mis-communication about protecting the concrete floor during the ceiling texture process. Jeff offered to have it cleaned and mopped to my satisfaction, but I had already handled it myself. I would hire again and recommend.

Jeff came by and gave me an estimate and said it would be be about 3-4 weeks until he could fit me in. He called about 3 weeks later and set up a time,then we had unexpected guests come in. Jeff rescheduled us for a few weeks later. His crew showed up on time, were professional, and did a nice job. Job from start to finish took about 6 hours.

My experience with these guys has been awful. I was quoted a fair price to replace some drywall on the ceiling and walls where I had removed a pantry. The walls looked fine but the ceiling texture looked absolutely terrible. They came back to redo it but it wasn't any better. Now I'm going to have to pay someone else to finish the job because they are not willing to put in the effort to do it right. This has caused a simple project to drag on for months and is going to cost way more than it should have. Keep looking.

He was very good. He told me the price and the time-frame that he would be out. Everything was good for that.

I had had water damage in the ceiling and an exterior wall in a closet. The damage was from leaking chimneys. They were prompt in responding for an estimate, and mentioned that they would be several weeks to get to the repair. They called and scheduled the repair within the time they said. They worked efficiently and cleaned up when they were done. I was very pleased with the work. I thought the charge was fair. It is hard to find good plaster work these days.

The house was vacant and I left a key. He was prompt and left my key on the counter. He didn't treat me like a possible dead beat and billed me at home

American Plaster & Drywall promptly returned our call, provided a next day quote, and began work the following week. We found ourselves in a bind when a different contractor did excessive damage to our home during an install and our usual plaster guy was unavailable to finish the work. They new we were on a tight timeline due to a move date, and were conscientious to meet our expectations. They were also able to do minor word working repair. We would absolutely call them again.

They well work. Very consciences. They try to keep the area as clean as possible. Their work men came on time. They were very pleasant to deal with. The owner is very responsive so I can't think of any negative for their involvement. We've worked with them before. We found them very trustworthy. They have an excellent reputation in the neighborhood.

I called this company and left a message on a Saturday they called me back me on Monday, and came out on Tuesday and did the job. It turnerd out great, they did an excellent job.

It truly pains me to have to write this about my experience with American Plaster & Drywall. They had done some work here years ago and it was such a good job and pleasant experience I didn?t even bother to get quotes from anyone else when I needed these services again. Over the years, I?ve recommended the company to friends and family. Unfortunately, this experience has been anything but pleasant. When the wallpaper remover walked in on a Monday morning, he reeked of cigarette smoke and alcohol. In removing the wallpaper, he used no dropcloths and, without asking, used my bathtub as a utility tub. I had to scrape a pile of wallpaper scraps and grit out of the tub, and scour it out before I could use it. He left shredded wallpaper curling off the wall behind a radiator, and a pile of scraps under it. In that same corner, the carpet was soaked and had been pulled out from under the baseboard and off the tack strip. There are water stains on the woodwork and carpet in that corner. The paint was chipped off the woodwork there and in several other places. He removed an empty drawer I had left in one of the dressers, and pulled the veneer loose on one side. The cover plates were left on two sockets, with wallpaper behind them. The same was true for the mounting plate for a wall lamp. When the lamp was removed it was laid on the floor and the bulb was broken. The plaster portion (different employee) of the project was definitely an improvement, but not up to the standard I had expected given my previous experiences with the company. There was plaster dust everywhere, and splashes on furniture and doors. In several spots the tape shows through, and additional plaster repair and sanding were needed before we could paint. There were holes left in the bedroom walls that had to be patched, and a window sill that had been pushed up and plastered in with a half inch of space between the bottom of the sill and the wall below. It seemed obvious the plasterer was pulled off the job earlier than expected and didn?t have the time to finish cleaning up. He left a sanding block, knowing there would be additional sanding needed. I wrote to the owner with all the above details, and the closest thing I got to an apology was "I am sorry that things did not go as you had hoped", followed by the reasons why he couldn't do the plastering himself (which had nothing to do with why I was displeased) and assurances that everyone is always pleased with the work of his painter (the guy who removed the wallpaper). After several more unsatisfactory email exchanges, he finally reduced the original $1190 quote by $250. I had been looking forward to writing a glowing review on Angie?s List, but cannot do that in all good conscience. It truly makes me very sad that this is the case.

Installed dust barriers before beginning to work. Cleaned up when done. I was surprised at how little dust remained.

They did a very nice job. I actually tried to use another company but American Plaster came through for me.
