Norm was great to work with. We were referred to him by a general contractor we found on Angie's List. Norm was patient to answer all my questions over the phone, and I had more than a couple since this was my first time working with concrete. When our scheduled delivery day arrived Norm pulled up right on time. Unfortunately, it had been raining a lot the several days preceding the delivery. Neither of us had remembered to consider the problems that might cause. The side yard he needed to drive through to get to the back was soaked and squishy. Rather than do something crazy like gunning it through the side yard, Norm got on the phone with some of his contacts and found someone else who was happy to use the mix we had ordered. That was great because then we didn't have to have the awkward conversation about who would eat the cost of the would-be wasted concrete. We rescheduled for the following weekend. A few days beforehand Norm stopped by to check the ground to make sure it was good to go this time. On delivery day it turned out that I had underestimated how much concrete I would need. I think I figured about 3 yards and told Norm 3.25 just to be safe. Norm brought an extra quarter yard which turned out to be good insurance; we used right around the 3.25 yards that I thought was going to be more than enough. For no extra charge Norm also gave me a pea gravel mix so that it would be easier to manipulate in the tight space we were working in. Bottom line: Norm is the kind of guy that you hope to find in a small business man. Courteous, professional, friendly, and knowledgeable. I would definitely use Norm again if I get another concrete project idea.
Description of Work: We had Norm pour concrete through our back door into a hole in the floor down into a crawl space.
