Description of Work: Had replacement windows installed in all windows and two exterior doors replaced. |Windows were not clean when they installed them. There was significant sealant on the windows from when they were constructed. |3 windows had defects or damage that required them to be replaced. When the replacements came in one window the wrong pane was ordered so that had to be reordered. |There was an existing storm door on the front of the house that was to be taken off and put back on. When they reinstalled it they did not put it on correctly and it now sticks when you are opening and closing it. |One of the installers hit the wall going up the stairs with something and they did not notify me. I found it after they had left. |With the issues I did have, Universal window was very responsive in following up with me and corrected the issues. I was impressed with how quickly they came out and they sent a supervisor out immediately. |My overall opinion is very high and I would use them again as well as recommend them to my friends.

Description of Work: Universal Windows installed Windows, Roof and siding for us. All the jobs were completed in a timely manner and everything looks great. My only complaint is in contacting the company for follow up work or questions. They are very difficult to communicate with after the work is done. Almost as if the priority isn't there to speak with you unless you have potential of doing another job with them.

Description of Work: Initial sales person, was somewhat pushy and got us to sign a contract the night of the initial sales call. This was fine, as we knew that we were going to purchase. We purchased 12 double hung windows and 3 doors. Installation went flawlessly and quick. | |We have had some issues with windows opening and closing correctly, and a service call has been placed for the week of 6/13.

Description of Work: Had all windows replaced and new siding plus new gutters with gutter covers. Windows and siding okay but when gutters were installed the shingles over the family room were buckled due to the installation--i.e. pushed up and no longer laying flat like they should have. Took about 3 phone calls to get someone from Universal Windows to fix it. For the first 2 calls we were told to wait until the weather warmed up and the shingles would flatten out. This was not the case. Someone from Universal finally came out and replaced the damaged shingles and told us they never would have straightened out on their own. We still have problems with he gutter covers--they do not fit properly at each end, and every spring birds try to build nests in the gutters under the gutter covers. Universal has been notified, but no repair. Each spring my 71 year old husband has to get up on a ladder at the ends of each gutter cover and apply duct tape over the ends to keep the birds out. We have a two story house and I am afraid he will fall and be injured. Over-all not a good experience. Would not recommend this company.

Description of Work: The price was fair,the installation of the windows and patio slider was done in a timely manner and the quality of the products we purchased were very good. There was only one problem which again was resolved quickly. I would definitely use them again.

Description of Work: Replaced 30 Windows, 5 which were double sliders on an enclosed porch, and 2 sliding glass doors. Two windows were tear outs. The job went very smoothly. Installers were very professional. Responded quickly to a broken lock on one sliding door. Would definitely recommend them to family and friends.

Description of Work: Removal of old sunroom windows, installed new energy-efficient sliding windows and installed a bay window in the living room. The renovation couldn't have been smoother - the work was done fast and proficiently. The crew knew exactly what they were doing. They even paid attention to the little details that make a job nicer. At the end of each day, they cleaned up the site very well and the new windows are beautiful!

Windows actually came in quicker then estimated. |Salesman thorough-explained exactly how things would be done, materials used |and so forth. |Only issue would be a slight stall in giving us their bottom line price. But before he left the house gave us an unbelievable offer we couldn't turn down. Wish sales people would give you the fair price immediately to save everyone aggravation. But it worked out in the end & windows are beautiful.

Description of Work: They installed 2 custom sized steel entry doors. It was a tough fit for the openings but they did a great job and it was very well done. The guys worked well together and they did a nice job cleaning up the work area when they were done. The doors look great and the seal around them is very nice. They will help with the energy efficiency of my home this winter.

Description of Work: We bought new 14 new windows and a patio slider for our entire house. Installation was fast - finished in about four hours. Work was completed in a neat and professional manner. I would definitely use Windows Direct again in the future.

Description of Work: Replaced the roof on my home and garage. It went well. I was a bit concerned when they started the house roof on day that did not seem ideal. The crew did an efficient job of tearing off the old roof and having the new shingles installed on the house in one day. On the second day the garage roof was done in the same efficient manner and some box vents were installed on the house roof.
