I am very happy with their service. They are wonderful and I would not use anyone else. They come on time. , they are very friendly, and they leave no mess behind. I have nothing but great things to say about their service.

Everything worked out very well. My wife was especially pleased with the glass on the entry door and the quality of the door itself . They did a good job, cleaned up well, and I have no complaints with the service.

My wife was disappointed that they did not use their own employees but hired a subcontractor to do the installation work. However, it was not a problem because the windows were fine. Their windows had a more solid feel because the inside was a better product. She felt that differentiated them from the other companies she received a bids from. She went with them because she liked the quality of the product. She also thought the price was competitive. They cleaned up well., they were punctual, and professional. We had no problems with the service.

The price was expensive but the work was good. The subcontractor they hired did an awesome job. They had enough people to complete the job, the quality of the work was great, and they were supervised throughout the process. Even the manufacturer came out to ensure the windows were installed properly. They were on time, professional, and cleaned up well. I was pleased with the service.

Their service and product was great. The price was steep but it was a good value for the what I got. They were in and out in one day. They were quick and efficient. They did a good job of keeping the job site clean. They were very professional and responsive when I called. They also worked around the construction schedule during that phase of the project.

We had no idea as to cost for new entry door but were dismayed with their price of $5000 to $7000 for a new door with two sidelights. Definitely more than we planned on spending. the esimate for a new 9 light door for entry to the garage was $2000. We also felt that was out of our desired range. These prices included materials and installation. The most disappointing part of the conversation was when we declined to proceed with the initial estimate the sales person started rolling out special one-time offers if we sign up that day for a new door. I expect a contractor to put their best price on the table and not play games of ' if you sign up right ow i know I can get you a special price." We did not like their approach to quoting a job and would not recommend nor would we use them.

Working with Universal Windows Direct has been a blessing! The crew was professional and very well-versed in their craft. It took 5 1/2 days to complete. Allside delivered the materials on Thursday AM eight workers showed up between 8:00 and 8:30. Each giving their names. They tore old siding off in sections and new foam and siding and Tyvec house wrap were installed. As lamps or outlets taken down they requested if being replaced or putting up the original. Suggestion on worn or rotten pieces made for me to purchase. All items were put back up New and Old. Daily all workers cleaned up as best they could. On the final day most caulking and review of the work done. Any suggestions by me were accomplished and the house looks great. As the Manager (who is also a worker) was siding above the attached garage he noticed some shingles were broken. I said I had extra shingles and asked if he would replace? He said yes and the job was done. Thanks so much. Garbage was gathered between metal and vinyl and junk. Metal they tried to take with them each day. Vinyl, Foam, Junk were picked up by one of their haulers 2 times during the installation.

The men from Universal Windows arrived on time and quickly and efficiently removed the old sliding glass door. They installed the new one in no time and replaced the outside framing as I had requested. After they left, I noticed that they left nail holes in the framing, but they returned the next day to fill them. The door looks terrific and operates smoothly. I was given a financing option that suited my budget and feel confident that I made a good choice using Universal Windows Akron vs buying a less than satisfactory door from a big box store. Universal Akron knows what they are doing. I used them before in a prior house I had, and was impressed with their service, product, and warranty.

They did a good job. I was happy with what they did. He was a pretty straight shooter and gave me a pretty decent product. He was a professional salesman and took more time. He explained more about the windows. His product was superior to what other people were selling. His price was pretty competitive. It was better than one other quote I got. It was almost three weeks after I gave them my downpayment before they came to measure and get the ball started. I actually had to call the salesman back to get them to come out. I was under the impression they would come right away, but they didn't. I had to wait about 1 1/2 hours for them to show up. They did call about an hour after they were supposed to be here.

Called several window companies to set up appointments for estimates. When I called this company, the person I spoke with on the phone asked for my marital status. I asked why this information was needed and was told that it was "a legal thing" and that all window companies ask that question. I had already set up four other appointments and was never asked that question. However, when I refused to give this information, I was told that they could not set up an appointment without this information. I requested a call from the manager. Chad Howman, who said he was the general manager, called me. He said that the reason they ask for this information is "in case we forget to tell our spouse about the appointment" in case they would like to be present. REALLY??? ....and to refuse to set up an appointment without this information?? Well, he had no answer for this. As a female, it makes me wonder if they are trying to find out if I live alone. Do they ask this of males who call? I bet not. Chad gave me lame reason after lame reason so I asked him to have the owner call me. I received a call from Mike Strmac who left a voicemail message with his phone number. I reached his voicemail when I called back and left him a message with the hours that I was available (after work, as I am unable to take calls at work.) He never returned my call. I called again leaving a message with a request to call me back and never rec'd a call back. Very unprofessional in every aspect of my communication with the people at this company. I would NEVER deal with this company!

Watch out for hidden shortcuts by the installers and you can't tell by looking at it. They took a short cut when they installed my windows by not installing a strip {that comes with the new window} below the new window and the old widow sill. They didn?t install a strip that fills in the air gap between the old window sill and the new window, they just though the strip away. This left a 5/8 of an inch air gap between the inside of the new aluminum molding and the old window sill, but you couldn?t tell by looking at it because it was under the new aluminum molding. This made the new bottom molding extremely flimsy. I accidently put my hand on the bottom of the molding and it caved in, putting a large dent in it. From the way it was installed the new molding wouldn?t take any pressure to cause a large dent. There was nothing supporting the new aluminum molding but caulking on both sides. The install manager, Todd, said that it was a fine installation and they do it all the time. The install manager said that most customers are fine with the installation. I don?t think most customer know about it. I had to argue with Todd several times before they installed the strip at the bottom of the new windows. I see no reason for the window installers not to have installed the strip below the new window but for the reason of saving time. Even after they installed the strip below the windows some of the molding could have been put on better {some of the windows are still a little flimsy but not nearly as bad}. One of my next door neighbors that had Pella direct replacement windows installed and it seems to have been a better installation. After the repair it is still possible to dent the bottom aluminum molding but instead of taking a little pressure to dent it you would have to lean on it pretty good or in the wrong spot. Sometime in June, after I had not heard from Universal Windows, I had Ohio State Waterproofing Company came out for a different service. They explained that my gutters were perfectly fine and told me that I did not need new gutters. I tried calling Universal Windows and wanted them to come out and tell me where exactly on my gutters they saw that needed to be replaced. They never showed up and the owner finally called me. I wanted him to come out and actually show me exactly where on my gutters where he thought I needed to replace them. He never came out and I have had an awful time trying to get my money back. I contacted my credit card company explaining that Universal Windows never performed the services so I requested my money back. The company then said that they did not agree to refund the money so my credit card company put the charge back onto my statement.

They communicated well and when they work, they told me what was going on.

From start to finish, it was top notch. I called and within days they sent a representative to my house. He was kind and professional. He brought samples of the windows to my home and I didn't feel any pressure to buy. He answered all my questions and gave me an estimate on the spot. I had had two other estimates and Universal Windows was the best. Plus its windows were better quality. A few days later another staff member came to my house and measured all the windows that needed replaced. Most were standard, but I did have one wacky little window that had to be custom made. A few weeks later they called to say my windows were done and set up an appointment to install them. The installation process was great. They arrived on time in the morning and worked all day. They pulled out all my old rusted windows and replaced them with new easy to open screened windows. It looks sooo much better!!! And I can open my windows so easily now. I used to have to crank them, now they just slide. Also, that little wacky window I had... they replaced it with a new one that fit perfectly and greatly improved the weather-proofing in my house. I live in an old Rocky River house and the old window was at the bottom of our stairs. The whole stairwell used to be sooo cold in the winter. But now it's not cold at all. That window alone was worth every penny I spent! I also like that Universal has 48 month financing. That helped me afford to replace my windows now instead of years from now.

The process from start to finish went very smooth. Our salesman really helped us decide what type of siding (color, style) was best for our house, and after it was installed he was right, it looks wonderful! The workers that installed it did a great job too. They were very friendly and professional. I would highly recommend Universal Windows to anyone in the future. Our house looks great!

From my initial phone call to schedule our free in-home estimate, to the actual in-home presentation, all the way through installation and follow-up, our experience with Universal Windows Direct has been nothing short of outstanding. Our sales representative, Eric, was very considerate of our home, as he offered to take off his shoes and was extremely cautious while measuring our windows and patio door. Not only was he knowledgeable about his products and their benefits, but he also presented them in a way that made it easy for us to understand and make our own decision. The selection of styles and color options are fantastic and we were able to find exactly what we were looking for. In just a few weeks, a crew of guys showed up and installed everything in just one day. They cleaned up after themselves and even helped us with an issue we were having with the screen on our front door - and our front door wasn't even purchased from them. It went as smoothly as we could've imagined. We immediately noticed the difference in the look and feel of our home and although it's unusual to say, we're looking forward to receiving our next electric bill to see how much we've saved. Usually we are underwhelmed at best with customer service - we celebrate when a pizza we have delivered shows up and is cooked properly, has the correct toppings and isn't smashed against the side of the box, which is sad - but Universal Windows Direct knocked our socks off from beginning to end. We are planning on replacing our siding next Spring and we already know that we only need to make one call - to Universal Windows Direct. We Love Our Windows! And We Love Our Sliding Glass Door!

Very good from start to finish. Sales man professional, not pushy. Installers professional and neat. Love the way windows look and keep electric bills low.

This is the second time I used Universal windows because the workmanship is beautiful. The gentlemen worked continually til the job was completed, taking almost no breaks. Their finishing techniques came out beautiful. The new glass adds so much sparkle to my home. I hope I get the same salesman and the same installers when I finish my last three widows.

The salesman gave us a fair price and told us about the energy rebate program through First Energy. We ended up getting a rebate for $650 from First Energy for the replacement windows. The windows were installed as promised over a three day period. The installers were friendly and professional. We absolutely love the new windows. Next year we will most likely have them install a new front entry door.

Joe showed up on time. Went through his sales book and bag of tricks and spend almost 3 hours trying to sell us windows. He was the first estimate we were getting and as savvy consumers would not be the last. He did not want to leave without a signed deal. As my husband carried stuff to his car to get him out of here he was still trying to get him to sign. Knowing my husband was going on a business trip he asked if I had decision making power. It was ridiculous! I've never had a car salesman with such high pressure sales tactics. I actually left the meeting 45 minutes before he left trying to give him the hint to go. He is not good at reading people, obviously. That evening I sent him an email saying that we were not going to be purchasing from him. I was trying to simply be polite and he sent back this ridiculous diatribe about how no other window company is going to be as good and that the price is locked in for a certain number of days, blah blah blah . . . I then said we weren't buying because of the high pressure sales tactics which prompted another response (which is why I'm leaving this review) that was even longer yet. I don't know if he wrote the whole thing or if he copies and pastes from a form response (I hope the latter) but it is simply ridiculous. My response was not to contact us again. I guess if you have 3 hours+ to kill and you want to hear a hard core sales pitch then by all means call Joe. I can't speak to the window quality long term, etc. since we didn't buy them but it is probably good. My advice if you are going to set an appointment and thinking of buying from Joe is to get all of your other quotes first so that you are ready to make a decision on the spot.

Installers arrived right on time and were very professional. Arrived at 9 AM and job was done by 1:30 PM. They did not take a break. Protected my carpet and floors, hauled away all debris. One patio door had a small crack in the frame. Installers ordered a new door and it was replaced a few weeks later when it arrived. Also the heavy duty pet screen was not installed in the small windows due to a mix-up in writing the order, but it was installed the same day as the replacement patio door. The regular screens were left with me to keep as extras.

We chose Universal Windows Akron because they gave the best value--quality for the money--than anyone else. And believe me, we looked around but always kept coming back to them as our choice. They were not the cheapest and certainly not the most expensive. But price was reasonable and the quality of the product and install were exceptional. In addition, we loved the transferrable lifetime warranty that covered everything, including the labor! Joe Pianecki came to our home and took his time to answer all our questions, explain the various things that impact the quality of how the products were made compared to others on the market, and explained the install process in detail. We were totally educated and felt comfortable after meeting with Joe. The installers were wonderful. They worked well together and did quality work at a fast pace. There was no shoddy work. They even did a couple of things that we didn't even ask for, but they told us it was the proper way to do it. Joe came at the end of the day to inspect their work. Most importantly, they cleaned up before they left. I think my house and yard are cleaner now then before they came. Several of our neighbors are already talking to them to do work on their homes. We would highly recommend them to anyone.
