Installer Bob did a GREAT job! He arrived right on time, got busy immediately, worked about 8 hrs - I do not know if he even took a break to eat lunch! As far as I could tell he was always working. He was very professional, and clearly knew exactly what he was doing! When he was working INSIDE the house, he wore the paper booties to be sure not to dirty any of the carpeting. And he cleaned-up outside very well as he finished each window.

Great. One window was cracked but they caught it and replaced it with no problems. They kept us informed throughout the process, we received weekly emails on the status and they delivered on everything they said they would.

Everything was as promised. The install date was a little bit earlier than originally planned, which was nice. They were very flexible to work with our schedule. We're very happy with the end result.

I couldn't be any happier! The service rep that came to my home was definitely a product specialist! He explained and educated me on the differences in the various types of windows available on the market today. Choosing Universal Windows was a 'no brainer'. The product truly sells itself. The installers that came out were MORE than courteous and professional. They had the actual windows installed in about 3 hours leaving the trim work for last. I have an older home and NOTHING is truly 'square'. I watched these installers completely and painstakingly cut and piece together all the trim for the windows while it was actually drizzling. I told them they could come back the next day to finish, but they wanted to make sure the job was complete before they left. Their attention to detail is more than commendable!! Everyone was very professional, friendly and knowledgable, from the sales person to the installers. The windows were installed on a day convenient to our schedule and look amazing! I was surprised how quickly the installation went and the crew was great with our Golden Retriever :)

After hearing a positive review of Universal Windows Direct from a family member. I contacted them to obtain a first estimate for a new roof on my house (typically I obtain at least 3 estimates for any major job). On contacting them, the appointment was scheduled for the same day, and the sales rep arrived perfectly on time. I was upfront with the rep about the fact that they were my first estimate - and that I typically will get at least 3. My main intent with writing this review is to let others know about the intense sales practices of Universal Windows Direct - if you know what to expect, they're probably a good company to work with. The sales rep was thorough, and explained each portion of the system which they were proposing to be installed on my house. After the approximately two hour discussion, demo and measuring, they provided me an estimate of around $11,500 for a roof on my 800 sq ft house. The estimate was a single number, with no break out of the costs for individual line items (gutter guards, water/ice guard, etc). When I expressed concern about the cost, the sales rep worked up another quote, this time "factoring in" a discount if I would allow my name and address to be used in their marketing materials. This new estimate (again not itemized) was around $8,500, but could only be taken advantage of if I signed the contract right then. I signed. After the process, I continued to think about the process - and how I had skipped my typical 3 estimates and was really unsure about the value of the price quoted. The next day, I decided to call and cancel the contract - so that I could get more estimates. During this call, the sales rep offered a $1500 rebate AND a "price match guarantee". Ultimately, I decided against going with Universal Windows Direct - not because of their product, not because of their price, but really more due to the "games". Had they been my last estimate, I would very likely be writing a different review. Universal Windows Direct seemed to be offering a good product, the sales rep was thorough and friendly. However, given their sales practices, if you are evaluating them for potential purchase, I would highly recommend getting other estimates first - they will apply pressure to sign during their initial visit. In addition, their prices seem to be widely negotiable.

Overall it went well. I shopped around on and got three different quotes regarding purchasing and installing 13 windows which consisted of double hung and casement windows. All three company's gave me their sales pitch and costing angles. I decided on going with Universal Windows. I liked their quality and were cost competitive with the others. I also liked how they held the cost. By this I mean They gave me a cost for doing all 13 windows,but I did not want to do all 13 windows at one time. So they held the cost for 1 year so I did some windows now and I will do some more in the spring. This way I could see how they are as a company and if I liked the windows. Also if I had any issues with the first set and how would they respond. The installers John and Connor were very professional and courteous. I would recommend them again.

Both my husband and I were available for the in- home sales presentation for a new roof for our house; storm door and windows for our sun room. We listened patiently to a lengthy presentation and waited for the quote which was very high. After considerable negotiating we agreed upon what we felt to be a reasonable price. Definitely did feel some high pressure with the request to sign right away. Our sales person was young and enthusiastic, which we did find refreshing; he proved to follow through with his promises. All work was done as promised, when promised. Both the roofing crew and the window crew stayed on task and finished their jobs in one day. Our window men definitely cleaned up beyond our expectations which is rare! Our roof looks beautiful and so do our windows and storm door. Quality seems good and the windows have proven so far to have blocked outside noise and have insulated the room from the outside weather. Roofing is by Owens Corning which is reputable. We have had no problems, so no need for call backs. I give this company a positive review and wouldn't hesitate to recommend. I give "B" rather than "A" because I'm not a fan of the high pressure.

Overall, a great experience. We had 16 windows installed on a Friday. Installers were on time. It was rainy on the day of install and they wiped their feet everytime they came in the door. There was a slight miscommunication about the extent of the install, so they had to come back to finish the job. Instead of scheduling something for the next week when it was convenient for them, they made sure to came out the next day (Saturday) to finish the job. Windows look and work great! I would recommend them to anyone.

Workers were great! They were mindful and courteous. Very knowledgeable and skilled at their work.

Roy and Ryan were excellent and did a very nice job. They were professional, and very sweet. They even bought me lunch! How many installers would do that? The day they came, they didn't just do what they wanted to do, they asked probing questions to make sure they did what I want. To me, that's priceless. We talked and talked and continued working while they talked, all without taking many breaks. They wanted to get the job done, and done right. I've owned five companies at one time and wish they had worked for me at that time. Thanks for the excellent job, guys!

The entire went smoothly and we had no problems. All people we delt with from sales to install were professional and friendly. Everything was done within a timely manner and the installers cleaned up after they were finished. I felt satisfied with the job and would work with his company again!

It seemed a little pricey at first glance, but everything I got with my siding and gutters, especially the guarantee, made me feel that the price was well worth it. And about half of my house had water damage behind the existing siding that was ALL replaced, we even needed to rebuild an entire wall by the garage. The crew was more than qualified, and did an amazing job. I come home to my new house everyday. It was quite an amazing transformation and definitely was well worth the price. They even helped us find the financing we needed and could afford. We are going to be putting in a slider door to our back yard, and I am planning on using Universal Windows Direct for that project as well. Great products, great staff, make a great company. i would recommend them to anyone that needs windows, doors, siding, or gutters.

I did not buy windows from Universal Windows Direct because my experience was terrible. From them needing to have both my wife and to having the process take a stupid amount of time (wasted more then an hour of my evening). I have bought from other advertisers on the Really Big Show on the radio. They all had been super professional with great products for a fair price. This was not the case here. The different prices they throw out have your head spinning. I want to add two things to what everyone else has said: 1) Listen: If I'm gonna let you in my home, and I tell you I want a price for 4 windows give me 1 price, tell me your value proposition, and get out of my house. 2) Don't do the "manager special" if you buy right now. That was the point I wanted to throw him out the window. You've been warned. Do NOT Let them waste your tim

After 10 weeks of signing my contract and paying a huge up front fee, because I wanted to get it done quickly, we waited 10 weeks before after numerous phone calls to Universal and they finally promised to get the work started. We heard excuses from them like rain and job overruns, not my concern I had a contract which they were failing to fulfill. Three times I called the main office on my paper work and got a receptionist who dropped my call everyone. So they finally have a contractor out here and they started the work. They were polite punctual.and did not.waste anytime getting the job done. When they were done we walked the property and.I asked about.my gutters and shutters they knew nothing about the shutters but he said he would.look into it. Gutters he said was a separate crew they showed up up again after to strong downot pours and phone call. Now we were still missing shutters Universal Windows called and asked me how things were going and I explained I still had no shutters. They mentioned this Angie's list link but I said the shutters better be up by Tuesday. The one set of shutters the wrong size were mounted and left like that with nothing on the other window. Continues excuses about ordering and overnight ING shutters but nothing. Finally Reggie the contractor called.me said he ordered the correct shutters and they woul.be in by Wednesday and he wouldid have them up and mounted he did as promised. We paid a lot of money for this project and I turned down the company I was going to go with because of Universals push for the business and the promises made by the sales deoartment.

Salesperson was knowledgeable regarding product. Door was manufactured and installed earlier than expected. Door is beautiful.

The process was smooth. The salesman explained the product and the process of the install. Everything went well as expected.

I did not make it past the first phone call trying to set up an appointment for them to come out to provide an estimate. The lady insisted my wife be there with me which was not possible nor necessary. I let her know we would still be getting other quotes and would not be making a final decision even if my wife was there. SHE WOULD NOT SCHEDULE THE APPOINTMENT. I could see then how things would have went if they would have come out - heavy handed sales tactics. Others that have reviewed have mentioned their exhaustively long sales pitch when they come to your house - on this and other websites. No thanks. But still, to think you have a potential customer willing to spend a good deal of money and you refuse to come out because a spouse wouldn't be present - just hard to comprehend.

Great. The sales rep was prompt, friendly and not at all pushy about trying to sell his product. To insure no mistakes would be made in a couple of days later, another gentleman came to insure all the measurements were correct. On the day of the install everything went smoothly, no surprises. The installer showed up on time. He was very polite and friendly and clearly knew his job. The windows were installed in the time frame stated and all the mess was cleaned up. I will definitely contact this company in the future as I have more windows to replace.

Service manager came out to examine some issues with my windows. The response I received in regards to the installation issues were "could have been late in the day or the installers were getting tired." That's a pretty lousy excuse after paying someone $9k. When the installers came back to address one of the issues they busted a light in my yard. No one mentioned anything to me - I had to discover it on my own. I'm pretty disappointed with the experience working with Universal Windows Direct.

There was no cost for the quote. They were professional, competitively priced, they came to offer a quality product and the in home demo of the product was a nice feature.

The job was done with much attention to detail. Job site was left clean every time the crew left. They arrived every day at 8:30 am and worked past 5 pm. Very hard workers and they took pride in their work. Most importantly....the house looks brand new!
