+ 0 moreJake came out to our house and was very courteous, professional...... and quite knowledgeable about the window industry. He was very detail oriented about his products and showed us the difference between the standard metal spacers and the new flexible spacers that come with his windows. We are switching from casement windows to sliders and will write a followup review once the work is done. Jake was very good at answering all our questions and is pleasant to work with.

+ 2 moreOn Friday, April 13, 2018 we completed two projects with Universal Windows Direct. All of our windows and doors were replaced earlier in the year and on Friday our roof was replaced as well. Both installation days were perfect! UWD delivered on what they promised would happen. COMPLETE customer service and communication throughout the process of sales and installation. The two separate crews, windows and doors, and roofing, were professional, responsive to our needs, and courtesy throughout the days of installation. My two biggest concerns were quality of product and cleanup . Now that UND product has been installed I am COMPLETELY satisfied beyond expectations. Cleanup was thorough and complete to the very end. The roof was installed on a windy day and when The crew finished installation they made sure my neighbors yards three and four doors away were pristine from debris. This is an unsolicited review and completely honest evaluation of our investment into our home. I fully trust UWD to deliver on their promises.

+ -1 moreThe two guys that performed the work at my home knew what they were doing. No issues, no complaining, no blaming of others. Obviously not there first job. They made very little mess and cleaned up well when done. The windows we had installed look awesome and perform (so far ) just like our salesmen promised.

+ 0 moreSales pitch was way over-the-top! Asked when salesman arrived and twice more during the visit to stop the sales pitch and answer my list of questions. He was ****-bent on following his script and bad-mouthing the competition. Product was ordinary and price competitive among 8 vendors interviewed. However, if this is how the company treats potential customers, how will they service us after the sale. Because the salesman wouldn't stop talking, we had a very incomplete picture of the features of the windows.

+ -1 moreMet with the salesman at our house where we looked through the options. He took preliminary measurements and gave us a price. There are some discounts available and deals, depending on the time of the year, which you should be on the look out for. After you have made the purchase, another person comes to take the exact measurements of the windows. You should allow about 2 months for the windows to be custom made. The installation is scheduled when the windows have been made and delivered to their installers. The installation took one day to tear out and install the new windows. The installation was very professional and clean.
Description of Work: Old 1923 windows were replaced with custom bay windows.

Description of Work: We went to the NARI show held at the IX Center in Cleveland, Ohio, and we talked to a show representative and he took our information down and said someone would be calling us to setup an appointment to come to house to "just show us what Universal Windows Direct had to offer for siding." Jake Frantz came to our house "on time" and the date and day we picked. What we liked about Jake was he was not pushy and listened to what we wanted to do to our home. We can't speak highly enough of Jake Frantz and Universal Windows Direct. He even came back out to our house on his day off to show us more pictures and to inform us that he wants us to be satisfied and happy with our selections that we are picking for the siding. Jake went out of his way to make sure that the picture we downloaded of our house showing the new siding and trim was what we wanted. Jake also met with the company that makes board-n-batten shutters that are vinyl but look like real wood. I would recommend Universal Windows Direct and Jake to anyone who needs home improvements. What impressed us was that everything is guaranteed for life and not prorated. Very impressive for a company to stand by the quality of their product, service, and sales representative. Will come back with finished pictures when completed.
