He was very courteous when we meet him at the house when he was there putting in a new panel. At the time we had confidence in our contractor (we ended up firing that contractor for numerous reasons) because he advised that Tracy Moore was the "best price in town" and that he works with him all of the time. We did not think much of it at the time because all of the rough in inspections passed with the city. When we went to turn on the lights or plug anything in upstairs nothing worked. We called Tracy to have him come back to the house, we explained we were no longer working with the contractor who hired him and that there was no "power" upstairs and the new panel was not marked/labeled so we did not know where the wires were going to. (I am not technical, so I am not sure if using the correct terms) and he advised he was in Toledo and he would call us in a few days when he got back, so we gave him a week, and then called, he advised he still was out of town, however I had given his number to a friend's mother because his price for a new panel was $750 compared to other electricians that were $1200 (not knowing at the time, this was an instance "that you get what you pay for") and when she called he advised he could look at her house the same day, when I confronted him he advised he was still out of town and that he was sending a coworker to her house (thankfully she did not use him). We thought that he may not want to come back because we were no longer working with the contractor he works with all the time, but he advised that was no problem for him, and money is money. We gave him the benefit of the doubt, and waited another week. We were not living in the house so we were being flexible. We then called him and he finally came to the house a week later and advised that he had marked the panel and everything was working when he left, so it must have been the old contractor's workers who removed the labels and that he was only paid for certain things from the old contractor and we would have to hire him for an hourly rate for him to consider even coming back to fix the mess if our new contractor could not. We understood and did not expect him to do it for free, even though we had paid our old contractor around $2,200 already for the rewiring and new panel. We found out our old contractor was not very honest and we believed that he probably did not pay Tracy Moore all of the cost. We also found out that some electricians only run the initial wire and let the contractor's workers put in the light sockets and switches to save money. Our new contractor (who is wonderful) tried to figure it out and could not, and he thought since Tracy Moore did the initial wiring, he would be our best shot at figuring out the problem, so he called Tracy Moore and Tracy was very nice and said he would be there the next day, and there were no hard feelings about the old contractor. so the next day rolled around and Tracy never showed up, our contractor called him and he said he would be there the next day, same thing happened, then it was the Christmas holiday, so he gave him a few days, then our new contractor called him and once again Tracy said he would be there the next day, and never showed up. Our new contractor then called him again and Tracy apologized and said he would be there on Monday (New Years eve) for sure, so our new contractor went to the house and we were so excited to finally see if we could get power. Well Tracy never showed up. Our contractor called him 3 times that day and no answer. Our contractor was confused because every time he spoke with Tracy Moore he was polite and promised he would be there the next day. We ended up speaking with the inspector on our rehab loan for the home and he advised that it sounded like he was stringing us along, and that he had seen some subcontractors do that to stay loyal the contractor they work with on a regular basis or to punish a contractor that does not pay them. We ended up having 3 separate electricians come in for a quote and they advised they have not seen a "mess" like this in years. In this case hindsight is 20/20.
Description of Work: Hired by a contractor that was remolding our home to put in a new panel and rewire 2 bathrooms and the upstairs bedroom.
