KITCHENS BY LOGRASSO

I contacted this company to get a quotation on remodeling two bathrooms in our home. He came to our residence and spent 15 minutes taking measurements. From that point on, I have heard nothing from him. If he did not want to take the job, the professinal thing to do would have been to contact me and let me know.

This contractor had done work for us on another home ten years ago on a kitchen remodel and we were very pleased with the quality of work. Also we had the wood floors refinished in our older home and they are still beautiful today. When we wanted to have work done on the present home there was no question as to who we would hire. We contacted them a year or so ago and discissed the project so they could put us on their calendar, something you must do when a contractor is as busy as they are. The quality of work is extremely important to me and I want a contractor who is knowledgeable and proud of what they do. They were here almost every day and even on weekends. They consulted us on many items and changed a few plans to better fit our needs. They went out of their way to find the carpet to match the same as we have on the steps to keep the continuity of the pattern. They are a one stop shop if you need carpet, cupboard, flooring of any kind. They bring it to you for selection. They are not a 9-5 Monday thru Friday operation. They were here early and sometimes left at 9pm. They enjoy their job and they are good at it, even have a couple NARI awards to show for their work. Our home builder was here recently and they were absolutely amazed and very impressed by the quality of work. Actually they couldn't tell where they left off and LoGrasso began. It was seamless . We had some columns cut in half and glued back together and no seam lines are detectible. I highly recommend LoGrasso. They do more than kitchens and baths, keep that in mind. Experience, knowledgeable and professional quality is what you will get!!!

Excellent! The work went well, everyone was courteous and professional. I will use them in the future to remodel my kitchen. Based on my recommendation two friends used them for kitchen and bathroom remodeling.

Incredible service and attention to detail!! We can't believe the transformation of our kitchen and bathroom, it is truly amazing!! They gave our home a much needed face lift!!!! Work was completed ahead of schedule and under budget!!!! Extremely professional from the estimate to the crew in our home. They went above and beyond to ensure we were satisfied with the work, right down to every last detail. A+!!!!

All I purchased and it still took them 6weeks to perform the job because they never had enough work for his crew on he days they worked at the home But it took them weeks to get my granite cut for the sinks to many excuses and not enough WORK another bath is pending and I m quite sure he won t get a call back.

For us, the 3 reasons we hired a contractor to do our bathroom project were for project design knowledge, quality of work and timeliness of completion. While Ron had several good design ideas, he missed the mark on the other two. The project began as scheduled on July 23, 2013. Day 1, which was demo day, the contractor stopped working for the day before removing the floor tiles. It didn't take long after the project got underway to realize that Ron did not schedule work on our project for more than a few hours at a time. There were many days where no work was done. As the project progressed, there were delays in 1) getting the granite cut, 2) getting the glass cut for the shower, and 3) getting the vanity. It took an entire week to prep a wall to paint. We were told by Ron's tradesman that it takes at least 2 weeks to have the granite cut and a week for the glass. Given those time frames, Ron should have known that the project could never be completed in 2-3 weeks. Since we paid Ron half of the cost in April, there was no reason that the vanity shouldn't have been available at the start of the project. We shouldn't have been told in October that the vanity didn't arrive. In addition to the many, many delays, there were also quality issues (i.e. poor grout lines, paint on the new window frames, split wood around the doorway, water running into the basement from the new shower faucet). The issues were all addressed, but the punch lists of more than 20 items for a small 5x7 bathroom makes you wonder if Kitchens by Lograsso should stick with kitchen projects and pass on bathroom jobs. After this experience, we would not even recommend him for kitchens. At the end of the project when we confronted Ron with the question of "what really happened that this took so long", his answer was "I honestly don't know".

His name is Ron Lograsso and he was fantastic. He and the people working for him were so clean. They cleaned up every night. They put up plastic over the doorways so the dust and debris wouldn't go through the house. They were really fantastic. We didn't have one problem, dispute, argument or disagreement during the whole process. It was reasonably priced and he did a wonderful job. The kitchen looks fantastic. We have a really small kitchen and he made it as functional as possible. We love it and I can now work in that area. We can't say enough about him. We would absolutely use him again.

They did a very good job. I have no complaints.

The kitchen is beautiful! The only problem is that he took way longer than the estimated time. Hardly because the countertop were not coming as it should. He and his workers they were wonderful! I did not mind them in the house. They cleaned up after themselves. Just took away longer.

Overall experience not good I kept in contact with this company for months until my tiles came in When it was time to do the work right before Christmas he bailed saying he had a bigger job worth more money that needed to be done with that he walked right out the door, leaving someone to install tiles. We took what we could get at that time so close to christmas the old tiles had already been taken out by us on one side of the wall only. So like I said it being so close to christmas and a house full of people we allowed for the tiles to be installed. Not a good job on the tiles after christmas the mistakes that had been made were corrected at that time through someone else.

7/25/2012 Update I received the estimate in the mail on Monday and it was very detailed. This does indicate attention to detail and thoroughness. I guess I understand why it took so long. I have updated the ratings accordingly.

We chose this company based on three things... 1) reports on Angie's List from previous customers 2) meeting the owner for an initial overview and estimate and 3) needing to find a contractor who could perform all phases of the work (cabinetry, flooring, electrical, painting, plumbing, tile and stone) and ideally would have their own employees rather than subcontractors. While we were not going to make major changes, such as take out a wall, relocate windows or design a new floor plan entirely, we still needed someone who could provide us with good advice as far as selection of materials and sound design ideas. Kitchens by LoGrasso is skilled in all aspects of a re-design, i.e., they were able to do not only the basics you would expect, flooring, counters, tile, but they also did electrical, painting, refacing as well as custom cabinet work. We were given all the help we needed as far as these were concerned. We were not sent over to the granite warehouse to fend for ourselves, as another company had suggested would be their plan, but instead had Ron LoGrasso there to provide guidance and answers to our questions. Ron helped us narrow down the choices for other materials, so that we never felt overwhelmed by the sheer volume of selections. All suppliers (flooring, granite, tile, sinks, faucets, etc.) selected by this contractor were top grade. Their cost estimate for the project was right on, they started on the exact date projected, and the time estimate for completion of the job was close (waiting for under-cabinet lighting and one cupboard door to arrive near the end of the project caused it to run over a bit). Everyone was pleasant to deal with and both rooms plus the garage were cleared and swept each day prior to the crew leaving. Definitely recommend this company!

Ron was very easy to work with; there were a few glitches along the way, but problems were addressed and fixed without difficulty.

The quote included the cabinets and labor. I liked that Ron was very forthcoming in his estimate, what it included and what it did not include.

They did a nice job on the countertops. Their price was much better than some of the other companies especially on that part of the project. While they tried pretty hard once they put it in the green lines were not angled properly so we had some trouble with the disposal and we had to redo that plumbing, which was disappointing. I did not call them back and maybe they would have fixed it, but I just took care of it myself. I would consider using them again but I am not sure.

They were terrific. We had used him years ago and his work has only improved with time. The quality was excellent, any issues (often minor communications) were handled rapidly, they were clean, easy to deal with, pleasant to have in the house. Pricing was right where it was quoted and only extras were our change orders that were cleared in advance. They underbid our decorator on the bamboo flooring (even though she was a distributor), and all other materials were very reasonably priced. They came through after the job was complete to review and resolve (on the spot) and of the minor issues we found. While the job took longer than expected, I think some of the issues (challenges installing exhaust fan, defective dishwasher, etc.) were beyond their control. They were responsive to our needs and worked hard to stay as much out of our way as possible. I would use them again in a minute.

Kitchen?s by LoGrasso was by far the best choice I could have made to complete my remodeling project. I was in a time crunch to fix my kitchen for the Holidays. Ron and his crew gave me the best estimate and fit me into his busy schedule. The work was completed with a sense of professionalism and care that is lacking with the big business remodeling companies of today. It was exciting to return home from work each day to find my kitchen in a closer degree of completion. The men were courteous, knowledgeable and clean. They were able to make the appropriate adjustments when, mid-project, my wife made some, not-so-minor, changes. They even showed patients with my inquisitive son as they answered all his questions. Lastly, I would recommend Ron and Kitchen?s by LoGrasso for all my remodeling projects.

LoGrasso started the project on time, did an excellent job, and finished ahead of schedule. The workers were curteous and left my kitchen in tiptop condition.

Lograsso did this one job in good time, but there was more to the job and he was impossible to contact. I called him 5 times and he did not return to finish the other jobs. The job he did do was sloppy. Dry wall was run into plaster (which causes cracking at the joint in time.) The floor was cut crooked where it met the main floor and this flaw was not covered in any way. We ended up doing the electrical ourself as his company left them dangling out of the wall and in another case drywall mud was taken to the switch but no attempt was made to finish it off. Months later we received a bill as we were probably turned over to a collection agency. He wanted 500 more dollars. Imagine that! We already gave him about 1,500 before and then could not get him to come back and finish. We had a different contractor come out and finish what he did not do. That was remodel the attic and drop the ceiling in a hall. We gave him all the money he asked for even though we were not happy with his work.

Ron LoGrasso was very helpful with the process of selecting items from his showroom for my kitchen. He and his crew were very kind and helpful to answer any of my daily questions. The removal of my kitchen took one day. The rest of the job ran smoothly throughout the entire process. At the end of each day my home was clean of dust and debris which was great. Also, Ron and his company made me feel at ease with leaving them a key to my home so that I did not have to take my vacation time from work. My Corian countertops are now the focal point of my kitchen and the topic of conversation when having guest over to see my kitchen.

Ron Lograsso's company provided the best estimate of four companies we called. They were able to schedule the work at a time convenient to us. All the employees were courteous, worked efficiently, and cleaned up any mess that was made. We would definitely consider using Ron's company again.

He came and measured and it took 4 to 5 months of phone calls to him to respond and come install the counter tops. It wasn't a big job and I hadn't paid up front, but it would have been nice to get a call back. The work he did was great.

The workmanship is very good. No problems there. The job came in almost 9 months late, though. LoGrasso as a business provided absolutely horrible communications during this extensive delay. After weeks on end of no activity, we would have to chase them down and ask for status reports. Nobody in the office ever had a clue. You either got lucky and got a hold of Ron LoGrasso or your questions went unanswered. Once again, the finished product is fine. The incredible hassle of a 9 month delay for what was quoted as a 3-4 month job was very stressful. We actually had Ron out to our house to talk about these issues and Ron indicated he would keep us in the loop- that lasted for about a week. Once again, LoGrasso lapsed back into "silent mode" and we had to chase him around for updates. I want to stress that we weren't asking for daily updates. I'm talking about weeks on end of no information. Totally unacceptable project management. Totally out of the loop front office.

I wouldn't use them again because they didn't do things right the first time. They did come back and fix things though.

We were playing phone tag for awhile and then they finally got in contact with me. I was not getting my messages from them. I had submitted a bad report, because I did not think they were getting back with me, but they were, and they did when they said they would so I wanted submit a more positive report.
