Eli and Amy are responsive, flexible, and friendly to work with. Eli was willing to give us options with separate estimates; and even made an extra trip to come explaining the details of the work. His team was on time and efficient. They exceeded our expectation.

When we contemplated some landscape renovation in our yard, we were thinking modestly – grading and replanting our badly eroded east side yard. After receiving several estimates with growing scope, we found Eli’s on Angie’s List, and as they say, ‘the rest is history’. Eli came to our house and took a holistic view of our property and what would be best for its functionality, as well as its curb appeal. He never hard sold anything, but rather made thoughtful, aesthetic recommendations. From start to finish we probably did three modifications to the scope of work, and probably made a half dozen ‘on-the-fly’ modifications, the end result of which is beautiful, and will hopefully serve our extended family for years to come. The entire team employed by Elis is professional, courteous, and always willing to listen and help. They are beyond respectfully, consistently using the terms sir and ma’am. When issues arose, like weather, which prevented work in a given day, Eli always communicated. When he had questions, or we had questions, he made full utilization of text messaging and cell calls to be ultra-responsive. I cannot imagine higher quality working being available by another provider. He continues to be available, post project completion. During the course of Eli’s work, it became obvious that our pool was leaking – not significantly, but enough to require repair. Eli was understanding, delayed his work, and was supportive during that process. As soon as the issue was rectified, they were back the next work day. I would absolutely recommend Eli and his team for any landscaping project. Again, professional, talented, courteous, hardworking, diligent, respectful, and fun to be around are terms we would use to describe Eli’s Landscaping. Our thanks for Eli, Amy (the glue behind the scenes), Adam, Javier, John, Alex, and Emilio. A great team. The yard is now a constant reminder of their artistry. Definitely going to use Eli’s again!!!

The landscape design and installation process went smoothly; the job was completed quickly and efficiently and most importantly, as planned. Eli & Amy were very accommodating with my work schedule during the estimate phase; they listened to my concerns and were patient. They provided good options or selections, making suggestions based on my desire and/or requirements. The date of installation was chosen based on the date the city performs chipper service so the debris from the old shrubs didn't have to sit on the tree lawn for a long time nor did I have to pay a removal fee. After the job was completed, there was a minor adjustment that I felt needed to be made and it was promptly addressed.

Our front yard flower beds needed to be completely redone. Eli gave me a quote, draw a plan, suggested what and where should be planted, gave me some other good suggestions ( like building an edge from the rocks on one side of the flower bed). Eli and the crew arrived as was scheduled. They removed old shrubs and trees from the front lawn, replaced them with new shrubs, built an edge. It was a lot of work that was done in a few hours. Everything looks great! Great job Eli, Amy and the crew.

It was really a bad experience because they didn't do a good job and they try to overcharge me and I had to call them, confront them with their work that what they did with the service that I received and they overcharged and that is why I stopped using them. I didn't use them for the winter snow ploughing because they kept overcharging several times even though I called them and told them and I know that they overcharge so they change it, but later they continue so. I was really surprised that they continue overcharging. I would not use them again in the future.

As usual, the service was professional, timely, on time, on budget. Eli and his team do consistently great work and Amy is a pleasure to work with as well.

all of my plant and shrubs came in beautiful and the grass is like thick carpet and all of my neighbors and friends gave Eli none stop compliments.

I purchased the service and was informed within a few days from the company that they were unable to perform within a timely manner and suggested that I seek a refund. Hence, I am seeking a refund.

The service turned out great. They replaced 6-8 sprinkler heads. They were very efficient and were care about going through my yard. They were very thorough and took their time to explain how to change my timer. They were very helpful and scheduling was very easy. They came on time and as scheduled. I would absolutely use them again.

The representative came to my house on 2 occasions, each time for about 5-10 minutes. He had to go back to confer with the owner for recommendations each time. I don't think the company is able to provide the service that I am looking for.

Eli and his wife Amy are very responsive starting from the first contact. Eli is the third person came out to provide plans of how the work can be done and the estimate of cost. Based on talking with different contractors, I can tell that Eli is knowledgeable, experienced, and professional. He stands by his work, and is willing to complete the work to meet and exceed the customers expectation. His crew are friendly and patient. Today, when I stood in front my yard after rain, I felt very confident that the work will keep our house away from water. Job well done! Thank you Eli and your crew!

Eli and Elliot were courteous, knowledgeable and great to work with. I NEVER write reviews but I want to wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone doing significant work to their lawn. Eli's Landscaping and Design is truly a professional company. They brought in a crew and completed all work in a very timely manner. Adam was the team leader and he really did a splendid job. He was very patient and understanding with me. I made most of my requests through E-mails and phone conversations with Amy. She too was patient and very responsive to my requests. I think they were all great and I would certainly do business with them again.

Amy and Eli are the ultimate professional in what they do. I scheduled my appointments with Amy who is very pleasant to talk with. Eli showed up on time and was very patient as he looked for the main water valve to turn on my sprinkler. I didn't know where it was because I had recently purchased the house. He checked the sprinklers, replaces a head, capped one of my heads and rewired the wiring because the previous owner used duck tape. He also set the timer and showed me how to use it. I asked him about the crabgrass that was taking over my yard which I've sprayed and pulled to no avail. He said that he could have it sprayed which he did. Most of it is dying now which I am happy to see. I enjoyed my experience with Eli and Amy and will definitely use them again.

Eli was very responsive with the initial quote, consultation, and follow-up questions. The scope of the work changed a few times and he was always very adaptable and customer-focused. I did not seek other quotes (so did not rate 'price' based on having no comparisons) because we had utilized Eli's Landscaping before and fully trust the value of his work. The work was performed in two stages (delayed due to some extended periods of days with heavy rainfall)... the first being a weeding and preparation of the flower beds, and a second visit being all of the work performed in one day. It all looks great, we are happy with it, and I would use Eli's Landscaping again in the future.

Scheduled a time for Eli to come out, view the work and provide an estimate. Eli arrived promptly and made good suggestions for sprucing up our yard. As usual, Eli's crew did an excellent job. All work was completed as requested and the yard was left clean. We were able to schedule the work at a time convenient to us to accommodate other work being done at our home. Eli is very knowledgeable on landscape design and always has good recommendations. We have used Eli over the past 7-8 years for various landscaping needs - he has installed a stone walkway, removed tree stumps/installed a flower bed, installed shrubbery and graded/re-seeded the lawn. His services are fairly priced and his crew always does a great job. Sometimes it can take a while to schedule the work but we have always been pleased with the outcome and they have exceeded our expectations on every job we have contracted. We will continue to use Eli's in the future.

Eli is extremely responsible and responsive to my needs. He did everything on schedule and I couldn't be happier with the job.

This is my third year using Eli's for cleanup and I'm still pretty pleased. By now they know my yard quite well and can just do everything without consulting with me. The guys are really thorough with making everything look fresh and crisp in my beds. They bring their own dump truck full of mulch and just charge me for what they use, which is cool because I don't have to have a delivery. I wish they would have trimmed some of my bushes more but the guy I talked to said I should call back to have it done later. Not sure what's up with that - they've trimmed the bushes in the past. Perhaps it was too late in to spring to trim? They generally do a good job of trimming, though. The crew will do anything you ask of them so that's nice. It's really helpful as a single person to have all this help to get my yard looking sharp for the season. They are good guys and they always leave my yard pristine.

They were good. I was happy with what the did. They were knowledgable and did a great job. I would use them again. They removed a big shrub free of charge.

I told Eli I needed the job done this week. I was surprised that I saw him with his raincoat outside fixing the sprinklers in very muddy soil. I've fixed my sprinklers in the past, but this is the first time I see them working perfectly. He also replaced heads with other more appropriate ones in places where that was needed. Done with professionalism that you rarely find in people in this profession, I'm more than happy with it and the price.

Eli was professional and prompt. He gave us a quote on the job and it was the final price. The beds in the front yard were edged and all the old mulch was removed. Neighbor commented how nice the beds looked and how efficient the workers were. Eli maintains our sprinkler system (winterizing and starting them up each year) and does a very good job explaining what he is doinhg and adjusting the heads on an as need basis. He has also added sprinkler heads in spots he felt we needed better coverage. I respect Eli's opinion on the yard and would recommend him to everyone. Amy is also very polite on the phone and returns calls quickly.

In April 2012 Eli?s gave me a quote of $800-$900 to lay a sandstone path using my stone; rototill hard clay and create beds with sweet peat; and lay down crushed brick for paths and a patio. I held off on this work because the yard was rock hard from the drought, and in late summer I called and Adam came out again. The estimate was higher--we added a wildflower and low mow application he suggested. When I called to see what the seed mix cost to think about eliminating it, I was told that either I took the full job or they wouldn?t do it. Okay, I thought that wasn?t very nice but I agreed because Adam had made two trips to my house and he?s a nice guy. I asked to be informed a day ahead of the project so that I could be home to make sure that the walk etc was the way I wanted it. Instead, Adam called me when he was on his way. He had a crew, finished a job early, and wanted to do mine. I left work to meet him at home, and by the time I arrived the sandstone was already laid. It wasn?t the way I had asked him to lay it, but I let it go. The whole point of laying the sandstone was to replace a path of small rocks that a contractor had put at the foot of my stairs. Adam?s crew laid sandstone and then filled in around it with more small rocks in spite of the fact that I had seven more large pieces of sandstone that could easily fit there. But they didn?t want to cut more sandstone?cutting one piece was enough. Speaking of rocks: Adam told me the paths and patio would be crushed red brick. The day of the job he said the stone looked white because of the dust in loading it. My intial reaction when I got home was, this looks good. But when I realized he used broken pieces of cement, the size of golf balls, instead of crushed brick, I was appalled. It is really ugly stuff, not what one would want in a garden. In short, Elis did the minimum amount of work necessary for this job: they didn't lay the stone the way I had asked, piled rocks around it even though I had plenty of sandstone; used an inferior product for the paths; and didn?t have the courtesy to call a day ahead. Then they fired me as a customer: Adam said they?d be back to scatter the seed. I called to say that the wildflower and low mow seeds were unnecessary in the small beds he had created. I asked if they wanted to do some other work for the $200 worth of seed (dig a bed in my front yard, or plant a tree) but instead the company called me and said they wouldn?t do any more work for me. At that point they told me the seed was special order. This was news to me. So I was fired as a customer. (If you knew what a nice person I am, you would find this hilarious.) I think the company does big jobs and a little one just isn?t worth the effort. Now I have to shovel out the ugly rocks the company laid and hire someone else to create my sandstone path.

we have used Eli's to cut our lawn for the last four years. Over the last two years we felt the quality of service was deteriorating. This past summer presented our lawn with difficult weather conditions. Despite our efforts to water the lawn regularly we have experienced weeks of severe dryness and towards the end of the season weeks where the lawn was soaking wet. Eli's crew indeed came weekly. the crew did not use any judgement regarding what areas were to dry to cut or too wet to cut. As a result we are left with large areas of mud puddles. When the onsite crew manager was approached when the lawn was being cut despite it being too wet two weeks in a row the manager agreed that they shouldn't have cut the lawn. he promised to talk to Eli. After two phone calls and two emails from us and five days and receiving the bill for the recent cuts we finally got a response from the office blaming us for the condition of the lawn (since we weren't using all of there recommended pestacide treatments). We expect a good service to include a recommendation for further treatments if the crew notices the lawn problems. Furthermore when we call to complain(first time since we have been customers) we would expect to be treated professionally.
