It went fantastic! We had a home warranty that would not replace the unit which was built in the 70's. The service tech came to provide a diagnostic and determined it could not be fixed and needed to be replaced. He then spoke with our home warranty and explained the issue and they agreed to replace the unit after he spoke with him. We were thrilled that he went above and beyond to discuss this with them and helped to get replaced. He did not pressure us on using them to replace and told us to think about it and let him know. We decided to use them. The same day Gary Rosen contacted me with prices, gave discounts on the equipment and was available every time I called with questions. The unit was replaced within a week and the men who did the work cleaned up after themselves and was on-time to get it done. We are thrilled with the service provided and I thank the entire staff at Smylie One. I will refer them to anyone I know. Thank you Smylie One for making this experience seamless and stress free!

Price was a little high given the simplicity of the job. However, they did have to purchase a part and return to finish the job and did not charge for a second visit. Otherwise they showed up on time and there were no problems, everything went smoothly and I look forward to having two non-leaky radiators come winter.

Water heater was not heating water. Plumber diagnosed problem as bad burner and sediment in tank. Recommend replacing with similar 75 gal gas tank with an estimate of over $2500. Since this type of work would be covered under our new home warranty I contacted the warranty company and that plumber replaced and temperature sensor and flame sensor at a billed price of about $500. The water heater now works, and has been no more problem for the last 6 months. I felt the Smylie plumber was just trying the sell a new install of a very expensive unit that would have been over kill for our needs.

I purchased a three year contract with them which saves the customer money. I have been using their services for around seven years and they have always been good to work with. They are professional, they walk you through everything they do and explain the pricing. I have also used them in the past for plumbing and to replace the furnace and AC units.

They were nice enough but we thought they were very expensive.

I was contacted less than 24 hours after purchasing a $40 diagnostic coupon. I spoke with Linda and she sent a technician today - The SAME day I spoke to them for the very first time! My technician was Eric. He knew exactly what was wrong and was able to diagnose, confirm and replace the part I needed right then and there! BEST SERVICE that I have had in years! No sooner did I do my happy dance when Linda called me to confirm everything went well and demonstrated what a truly professional business does. Awe Inspiring experience.

During the process of selling our home, the home inspector noticed some condensation on the water main shut-off valve and recommended to the buyer that they have it inspected by a licensed plumber to be sure it wasn?t leaking. The buyer requested that we address this issue so we went to Angie?s List in search of a local plumber. After reading the reviews, we decided to so with Symlie One. They sent a plumber out that day to evaluate the situation. The plumber was prompt and professional. He assessed my issue as well as read through the inspector?s report. After a thorough check he determined that the valve was actually fine and that there was no sign of leaking. He wrote me a letter for the buyer explaining his findings to assure her that there was not an issue. Because he simply had to inspect the valve he did not charge us a penny. We would highly recommend Symlie One for your plumbing needs!

Everything went very well. I contacted Smylie because the AC unit in my house wouldn't start. House was vacant for 8 years. Technician quickly diagnosed the issue, which was a tripped pressure switch due to the fan being stuck (hadn't been used in 8 years!). He offered several solutions with recommendations as the unit was 30+ years old. Got the AC running just in time for the 90 degree heat, performed a general inspection and tune-up of the rest of the system and provided a few more recommendations and taught me a thing or two. Definitely a great company. The only downside is that I was prepared to replace the unit (as I have a home warranty). This warranty requires the contractor to contact them prior to any work being done. I was told their company policy is not to deal with any insurance or warranty companies and the home owner must deal with them. This might prevent me from hiring them later this year should the unit fail as it might keep me from using my warranty.

It was the worst rip off I have ever heard of in my entire life. I needed a flapper replaced and he had one in his truck but was going to charge me $175. I told him that was ridiculous he called his manager and then said that the best he could do was $129.50. He told me that his manager said he needed to charge this much to keep their trucks on the road. I agreed to make a payment, but not the $129.50, and I thought he was outside writing up a bill for me to pay it and after I got my discover card I went back in the kitchen looked out the window and he was gone.

The installation went well. The team arrived promptly at the scheduled time and got to work removing the old furnace. For the install, the team didn't just install the new one exactly how the old one was set up, but rather adjusted several aspects to fit best practices. This required additional work, but at no extra cost. The price was fair and the sales person was friendly, not pushy. He simply provided all the options and the pricing and left it up to me to decide.

Woke up on Saturday February 22, 2014 with zero heat, old heat pump (1989) would not restart. Contacted Smylie One around 0730 hours and shortly after (approx. 15 minutes) received a call back. Advised Smylie One tech of the issue that I was having and he stated that he would be out shortly. Tech arrived with in the hour and began to check on heat pump, after a short time it was determined the blower was bad. After getting the news as to what a new blower would cost to replace as well as the time it would take for the blower to be special ordered we decided on a new unit. The same afternoon Sales Rep Marty was to be at my house by 1 pm, Marty called around noon and asked if he needed to swing by their office and bring over any space heaters because of our lack of heat. Marty arrived around 12:30 and immediately got to work, Marty was very professional and answered all of my questions. Marty also advised me that they would be able to start this job, if they were selected with in a day or two. Contract was signed and I was looking forward to soon having heat again. On Tuesday February 25, 2014 Smylie One crew showed up before 0800 hours and started to set up for the day. Crew was very organized and made sure to place runners over my carpet as to not damage it when bringing things in or out. Did not see crew taking a lot of breaks throughout the day, very focused on getting new heat pump installed in one day. After new heat pump was installed crew made sure they went over whole unit and showed me how to proper use everything (change filters, set/monitor different features on thermostat). Once I was satisfied that I knew how to operate everything crew walked house/garage area to make sure everything was picked up.

The thermo coupler of our gas furnace was dead, because it could not keep the pilot on after re-lighting. I could see part of it was burn and based on my past experience all I needed was a change of the thermo coupler. When I called SmileyOne and asked for a quote to replace the thermo-coupler, a SmileyOne representative said they would charge a service call and the cost to change a thermo-coupler, but she would not tell me how much it would cost (first red flag in retrospect). After the tech arrived, I told him the thermo-coupler was dead and needed to be changed. The tech replied that he still needed to run a voltage test and that was part of the service visit. Sure enough, the voltage meter showed the thermo-couple was dead. What happened next was mind boggling to me. He told me the cost would be $192 to change a thermo-coupler, in addition to the service call that I paid. I could not believe what I heard, because not long ago I had SmileyOne did a boiler tune-up and thermo-coupler change for a total of $142, and now they wanted to charge me more than double for less service (a service call-$80 regular, a change of thermo-coupler $192, total 270, and that was without a furnace tune-up). I told the tech what they charged me last time, and he said it's their price and they had to make money etc. Of course I refused to pay the extortion. It was a waste of money (I paid $40 for a big deal service call) and time (I had to come back during work). The same afternoon, I called another HVAC contractor who came and changed the thermo-coupler changed for a total cost $105. Looking back, this is the third time I used them. A couple years ago, they changed an outdoor fan motor and charged me ~$600. That was probably a rip-off as well. Knowing what kind of company SmilyOne is, I will stay away from them from now on.

This company does excellent work. I have no complaints.

The entire service went very well.

They were incredibly punctual and professional. They worked for over three hours snaking each drain. They were finally able to break the sludge free and get the drains flowing again. They then ran the camera to check for breaks in the tiles. They showed me areas that need to be fixed and made recommendations on how to prevent backups in the future. Dwight explained everything to me to my satisfaction and was great to work with. The main things that impressed me were their integrity and honesty. They did not try to have me make repairs that are not immediately needed, rather they made recommendations on actions to take to stave off having to do major repairs. Because of their honesty and integrity, they are now my official plumbers -- I would not hesitate to call the again for any plumbing job. It is a great feeling when you find a plumber that you can trust.

I carefully used Angie's List and referrals to discover the best company to replace an air conditioner. High on my list of criteria was their reputation for service after installation and my confidence in their service. Smylie came out on top in a field of some very good choices. (A friend of decades who is in the biz recommended them based on the way they handle themselves in meetings of competitors.) When you want a replacement of a furnace or air conditioner, you want it quickly. Their solution for us was a portable unit for a bedroom. They set up all of the venting, etc. so we were happy while waiting. The service contract was less than the company we had been using for 30 yrs. and that company is very highly rated on Angie's. Smylie was willing to split the installation into two evenings to squeeze us in, and they found they were able to beat even their promised date by having two installers work together. This is one amazing find. Tip: If you get no interest or low interest financing, make sure you pay it off by the time the full amt is due. It seems that some finance companies may not send you the last statement in the one-year plan (or whatever it is) so that you don't get it paid off in time and revert to the high interest for the full period. So put it on your calendar.

They were really nice and thorough. They tell you anything that's wrong or any upcoming problem. They do a neat and clean job, and they don't leave a mess. Also, they're punctual! We didn't have any major issues or anything with them.
