Smylie One Heating Cooling & Plumbing

We have a service contract and we needed an air filter, so the service itself was about $75. I have used them for quite a few years for heating and cooling and replacements of both. Their sales staff was very professional when we needed to replace our furnace and ac. The workers are very professional, clean up after themselves and notify you 20-30 minutes upon arrival. They explain things well.

I would give them an "A" throughout.

I'm tremendously impressed by the professionalism of this company and it's been an extremely positive experience working with Steve. Angie's List is asking me to review a company that has not yet had a chance to complete the project, I've just recently signed the contract. I think this is rather premature on Angie's List's part to ask for a review, but my experience has been only positive with Smylie One and I wanted to make that absolutely clear. Angie's List doesn't have an option asking if the work to be completed is forthcoming? I would suggest putting that option into a review. Or, give a box that an individual can check, which states, "The work has yet to be completed."

We purchased a service contract, and had several of their recommended repairs done to our 4 year old HVAC unit. First time, they adjusted our blower wheel, saying it was out of balance. Then our furnace started making a strange noise a few months later. They came out and we paid again, this time to have the blower motor replaced. It was damaged by the out of balance blower wheel according to them. When they came to service our air conditioner, they recommended we replace a capacitor. We paid to have it replaced even though the system seemed to be working fine. They scared us into it by stating that it could cause our compressor to go bad. 2 weeks after they put in the capacitor, our zone board fried. They claim it was from the power going out, nothing to do with the capacitor they put in 2 week prior. They charged 80 bucks and couldn't fix it, because they didn't have the part. They quoted the part at 800$. So, I'm in almost 2000$ this year on an HVAC that is 4 years old because of this companies shady tactics. This company is nothing but scam artists. I believe they destroyed my HVAC system with their inferior quality parts and inferior workmanship. They don't warranty their work, even though they say they do. Every recommended repair actually caused more damage for them to repair later at a cost to me and my family. They have never once repaired anything for free, even when they caused the damage. Like the blower motor, or the faulty capacitor. We tried to get our money back and they refused. Now, I'm thinking about filing in small claims court. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY! THEY WILL ROB YOU BLIND!

Everything went smoothly. The installer was outstanding. I am happy I went with them and would recommend to friends

Work was done well. They arrived on time and finished on time. I was not happy with the new thermostat placement and they came out promptly and replaced it. No hassles.

Apparently the company was having power issues this day, so my time ended up being 1 hour plus past the 2 hour window. But the serviceman showed and was able to diagnose the issue quickly. He had the part on hand and was able to fix the unit. He had a very pleasant personality and performed good work. He also provided some needed suggestions going forward regarding taking care of my a/c unit.

I called the office on a Monday and they came out that Wednesday to give us an estimate. She asked how I heard of them and I told her I saw them on Angie's list and like to give local companies business. The estimator was prompt. He said he had to figure it out and would email me a quote the following morning. The quote never came. To this day we have not received the quote. Very unprofessional and we feel they were picking and choosing what jobs they want to do. They wasted our time. I would never call them again. I have learned something over the years. Do not try to give business to locals. Only give business to reliable companies. I made that mistake for the last time.

We replaced our two units. I have a regular maintenance contract.

Needed a freon recharge unfortunately, but the technician was able to solve the problem, reducing future expenses.

Got an estimate that did not make sense to me the way it was written. Things like we had a toilet with low water flow and the plumber estimated to replace both toilets. But I gave them another chance and after three calls, one no show, they came again to give a clearer estimate. Next day call to set appointment for the work to be done based on a quote with a discount "for inconvenience" and saying they want to keep and earn customers. Day of scheduled appointment, one half hour before they were to arrive, call from Smylie explaining they had to reschedule because they "forgot" to order the needed parts. I cancelled any further services and requested a refund of my "Partnership" fee which is supposed to give discounts and priority. I have not heard from them

You name it, they're the best! Always "service with a Smylie!"

Both Smylie One guys were more knowledgeable and competent than any service provider I've used since I moved here 9 years ago. Both were friendly and courteous, even though they'd driven a hefty distance to respond to my request. Excellent.

Work as fair needed to come back with help

The drains still don't drain right in shower or sinks! Very slow!

I called Smylie One after reading good reviews online and was pleased by the service we received. Since our furnace broke in the middle of the winter, the company got a service technician out to us quickly. When we decided it was more cost effective to replace, rather than repair the old furnace, Smylie One quickly sent a sales representative to help us select a new furnace. He was friendly and knowledgeable and honesty explained our options. Having previously shopped furnace options before, I found the information consistent with my research and the price good. While we still had to wait two days for the final installation, the sales rep was able to recruit a team of technicians to work overtime and install the furnace for us as quickly as possible. The installation was completely smooth and the techs took care to clean up and re-install a baby gate they had had to remove during the installation (to get the furnace to the basement). They also took the time to explain the new controls for me. Overall, I was very pleased with the service, the professionalism of the company, and am very happy to have heat in the house again! I would not hesitate to use this company again for future work.

They do good work. I've had them do various jobs around my home for the past several years.

George did an excellent job and took special care to clean up the rust that showered down from the old faucet that he removed!

Pricing was astronomical. $85 service call $203 to just remove the toilet and $180 to replace plastic piping under bathroom sink which cost's around $4 at Home Depot.

Polite gentleman came out...inspected areas of plumbing...told me he was leaving the company in three weeks; said he would email me the pictures taken and a detailed report and cost. Never heard back from him nor did I get an email. He did a lot of talking and rambling on about this and that....also indecisive about how to go about providing feedback etc...Im really disappointed...after all paying for a service in advance, then I had to call a couple times to get an appointment. Whats really sad is that they never followed back up with me.

Furnaced was serviced in timely manner and they provided advice for future repairs

he was quick courteouse and clean. still had time left over so he fixed my faucets in the bathroom

But apparently he didn't check or connect the small rubber water hose to the evaporator correctly, which ended up leaking and causing flooding to my basement. Fortunately, i found out the leaking early enough to prevent water flooding all my basement, but it took three days to dry the basement... terrible job! Also, he promised somebody from Smylie one will call back about replacing the inducer motor for the furnace, but nobody called so far.

It turned out okay. I ended up charged quite a bit more. The initial deal I purchased through Angie's List basically covered just them to come out. It was quite a bit more. I think they did a good job. They were punctual.

Excellent customer service helped ease the stress of scheduling.
