We worked together over several weeks to create the ideal design. From there Chris and his crew took care of everything. It was a pleasure to watch them do what they do. You can tell they enjoyed making the design come to life. Couldn't have asked for more.

Could not have went better. I had 7 bids done for this project and hands down Chris and Yanton's was FAR superior to the competition. His prices were the most competitive, his responsiveness was WAY better than most other vendors, he was VERY good at communicating with me through the process (including texting back and forth during the project which I really liked). If you are in need of a outdoor project I would give Chris a call for sure, if we do any more work he will probably be the only person we call next time and I have already sent 2 family friends to him for quotes. Thanks

He first prepared the yard by removing part of an old wall made of railroad ties, and dirt so the wall could be built on the property line. The wall died into a hill at the beginning, and at the end. The finished product of the wall itself is beautiful, far more than a man has a right to deserve. He then correctly filled in enough gravel to facilitate drainage, and employed other methods so that there would be no pressure or unneeded demand on the wall in the future. The final work consisted of filling in the yard with dirt, and leveling it at a slight decline for added drainage. Everything was extremely professional, and left no doubt as to his skill and experience. I know of no other man I would trust more in the accomplishment of any work that he does in his business; even his employees harbor the same professional character in behavior and performance. I am more than pleased at the overall result.

The whole process went well. Chris Yancey was excellent. He communicated well and him and his crew worked from start to finish. The pavers and fire pit looks great they even cleaned up their mess and planted grass after they were finished. They had to use the neighbors driveway to access the back yard so Chris went out and bought the neighbors gift cards to show his appreciation. Thanks Chris you did a great job!!!!!Q

We priced out stamped concrete and paver patios with about 7 different companies. We originally decided on stamped concrete thinking we couldn't afford pavers...until we received the estimate from Yanton's. We had a 14x19 paver patio installed. The crew was on time, very friendly, and efficient. Installation took about 2 days. They made a mess but cleaned up before they left on both days. Chris was easy to get a hold of and checked on installation after day 1 and day 2. We would definitely use Yanton's again and highly recommend them.

Great job. We love our new outdoor space. Had around 7 estimates and Yanton's was not the cheapest, but not the most expensive by far either. I thought it a very reasonable proposal for the amount of work to be done. When Chris came by to give us the estimate we just seemed to click. I felt good about him doing the job and I'm glad I went with my gut feelings and the great reviews I read on Angie's List. He said it would take around 5-6 workdays and that is exactly what it took. The workmanship is awesome. I was here every day throughout the project so I got to see everything from beginning to end. No shortcuts, just good solid work on every detail. The amount of time they spent ensuring the underlying base is deep, solid and properly graded was impressive. When it came to actually laying the stone and building the wall they took the time to place every stone just right. The water feature is absolutely superb. Chris used my 100 year old water pump and constructed a well-like enclosure filled with river rock. It is one-of-a-kind and simply outstanding in every way. I really appreciated that he took the time to design something unique using an antique fixture that I already had on display. I found Chris to be very easy to work with and we discussed many details as the work was being accomplished. Not once did he come back and say that it would cost more to do this rather than that. Its nice not to get nickel and dimed throughout the project. His crew was a pleasure to work with also. We take care of our 2 grandchildren every day and I was not concerned letting the boy watch what was going on. I have had a lot of work crews on the property over the years and its not often I can say that. Bottom line - if you have an outdoor project to do, give them a call. If you hire them I hope your experience is as good as ours was.

They always let us know when they planned to work and arrived on time. Everyone with Yanton's is very friendly and professional. They made the entire process very enjoyable. They worked very diligently and very hard - always checking that we were completely satisfied with everything each step of the work. The water feature is beautiful. All of the neighbors have admired it and we are very happy with the way it turned out. The project cost was as estimated and there were never any cost issues.
Description of Work: Yanton's constructed a large water feature for us. It included an 8 by 15 foot pond with a 15 foot stream which contains several waterfalls. The project included 20 tons of aggregate and 24 cubic yards of topsoil and grading.

From my initial contact with Chris Yancey until the work was completed , everything was done professionally. Although he proposed something completely different from what we initially had in mind, it turned out to be more in keeping with the overall look of our property and was considerably less expensive. We were extremely pleased with the quality of the work and how it adds to the value of our property.

Chris, the owner, came out to our house to provide an estimate for a paver patio. We had previously worked with another company to get a drawing and estimate. We really liked the sketch but could not afford it. Chris was able to scale down the size to a more reasonable size and get everything we wanted within our price range. We were very pleased with the estimate and thought the price was very fair and competitive. We decided to move forward with Yanton's and selected our paver type and color. Chris came out to the house to help us select the pavers and colors and even marked the yard to give us a better idea of the size of the patio. The process was seamless and we felt very comfortable about working with him. There were some delays in the project dates due to weather but that was beyond their control. The entire installation process from start to finish took about 4-5 days. Given the inclement weather for part of these days, the time frame was reasonable. I had questions about the patio, almost daily, to which Chris was very responsive. He even met us at our home a few mornings before we headed off to work to confirm some details. We appreciated his availability for calls, responses to emails, and flexibility to stop by the house to meet us on our schedule. The patio looks great and there was minimal damage to our lawn during installation. They laid sod around the patio area for the parts that needed to be leveled to the existing lawn and the sod looks great. We were very pleased with the finished product! We look forward to using Yanton's again in the future for a few other projects!

They did an absolutely fantastic job. I would highly recommend them. We told Chris who is the owner what our budget was and what we wanted to do and he actually thought about it and gave us a couple of different solutions. He worked with us through the whole process and made sure that the solution that they came up with worked for us for our budget and made sure that we're happy with it. That was awesome. The work quality and communication were good. Everything was good. Price was really great. They worked really with our budget. There was one issue over a cut cable but they got that taken care of.

Chris Yanton is an easy person to work with. A real plus is that he communicates via phone and email. I was provided a timely quote but the work was delayed because I was also working with others to install a fence in the same area. Chris was very accommodating with the delays and completed the job within a few days of being notified that the fence was in. I have 5 other projects in mind and I will use Chris for those too. I have no doubts that those jobs will be exactly what I want and at a reasonable price.

Outstanding! I had a rough idea of what needed to be done. Yanton's made several recommendations for a retaining wall under our deck next to our walk-out basement. The crew did a super job of digging out the dirt and building solid retaining wall. It looks great and gives us storage room for the grill, tables, and chairs. There clean-up was outstanding too. A great job!

We had a graduation party coming up and no time for yard work. I called all over, then found Yanton's on Angie's List. While their schedule was busy, the owner listened to my plea and said he could help. A couple days later they showed up on time (even early) and ready to work. I was impressed that the owner came too. He had his crew walk with us as I explained our needs. From there it was on! By noon my beds were mulched, hedges were neatly trimmed, roses were pruned, and no weeds were in sight. They were meticulous in their clean up. I thought about telling my wife that I'd done the work (earn some hubby cred) but my work is never this good. I'll definitely do this again next spring!

To begin, our front yard is not level and when we created the flowerbeds during the construction of our home, they were very contoured and the bricks set by my husband were great the first year, then not so great the years after. When we called Yantons, and explained to Chris what we were looking for, he offered wonderful suggestions and after comparing quotes and ideas from other contractors, happily made our decision to go with Yantons. Our new flowerbed is roughly 69 foot long and is now level from start to finish. It looks fantastic!! We squared off the flowerbed, adding more room in the bed, and Yantons filled the area with dirt and mulched the whole flowerbed. They had to replant a few things, and they even dug up one bush that was beyond repair from my ?fall trimming back? escapade a few years ago. The side yard was leveled and expanded to match the front for height They also bricked the tree in the front yard to match the new bricked flowerbed. Everything is lazer leveled and matches perfectly. In the back yard, they installed pavers to create a segway between the patio and the new seat walls/ fire pit. My main concern during this construction was keeping the metal fire rings given to me by my father, who has since passed away. When my husband first met with Chris for a quote, he explained that there was no way I was going to get rid of the metal rings, and Chris was very understanding and explained how there would be no issues with the rings fitting and how there will be plenty of ventilation between the new stone and the metal rings. This made me very happy!! The seat walls are about 7 foot long, the fire pit is about 5 foot in diameter, and the bricks between the patio and the seat wall are almost 2 ½ feet. The trees and rose bush will be planted later this year. It was just way too hot to plant with confidence. There was no rain in the forecast and even with the best intentions of watering, my husband and I agreed with Chris to hold off on planting at this time. Chris made an adjustment to the invoice, taking off the price of the trees and rose bush. The approximate cost listed above includes the price of 3 trees and one rose bush. I should mention, too, that we went with a more expensive pink-ish color stone for both the front and the back yard. The crew showed up on time, and worked for three days. Yantons was very courteous to our neighbors; posting signs asking to ?excuse our mess.? I know our neighbors loved to watch the transformation and stopped a couple times to get information. We met with Chris at least three times before work began, once to get a quote, second time to sign the contracts, and then right before the crew came in to mark off the flowerbed areas and the locations of the trees. Chris was on site daily, too, to make sure we were happy with the work being done. The best part of the yard work was watching three of the men (who have been working all day, are defined from the type of work, and look to be slightly rough around the edges) build a type of scoop from a rake handle and a box to rescue a baby bird from the sewer drain in front of our house. I guess the bird was not an able flyer and could not get out. They noticed a nest near where they were working, and without touching the bird, scooped him up and returned him to the nest!! When I say Yanton cares about their work, I really mean ?they care!?

I requested a bid on hardscaping for my residency. The owner of Yanton's visited my residence approximately 30 minutes late, after calling to tell me that he would be late. After he arrived, I discussed the job with him, and he agreed to email me a bid within two days. I did not receive a bid within two days. I emailed the owner after three days, asked for the bid, and received a response that he had already emailed the bid, but promised to send another copy when he returned to the office. Five days have passed since then, and I have yet to receive a bid. I checked all of my mailboxes, including the junk mailbox to ensure that I had not missed an email. I received three other bids for the work that were delivered in a timely fashion from competitors of Yanton's.

I Sent Member a estimate the same day that I had visited his home via email. I recieved a email from Member asking if I was going to send the estimate. I responded and said I was heading to the office and would re-send the estimate as soon as I got there. Which i did. For some reason Member did not get the email. I triple checked the email address to make sure it was correct and it was... It was the same email address that he had emailed me from. I responded to Member and sent him a copy of the page showing that I had sent the email and date. Not sure for what reasons he did not recieve the estimates when they were sent. He says he checked his spam folder. So at this point Im not really sure why they were not recieved. Thanks Chris Yancey Yantons Outdoor Living

Yanton's was exceptional. From the first appointment to completion, Chris was excellent. Everything was upfront and exceeded expectation. The initial advice was spot on, and his crew was polite and efficient. There were no surprises. The final product was very good and he was interested in whether I was satisfied, not just that the job was completed. Will not hesitate to use his company again or to recommend his services to family or friends.

Although I did not have any work performed by Yanton's I was impressed by the overall professionalism of the company. It was easy to schedule an appointment for someone to come out and look at my yard and I was provided with catalogs on certain products. The estimate was free, electronic, and only took a couple of days. I did not contract with Yanton's because I received a more accurate, less expensive quote.

I contacted this company via their website on April 3rd. When I didn't hear from anyone on April 4th, I called and left a message on April 5th. I heard back from them on April 5th, via email, asking when would be a good time to meet or talk to discuss our needs. I emailed back within 10 minutes of receiving the email, but as of today, April 10th, I still have heard nothing from them. 23 April Update Chris and I finally connected - it appears my emails were going to SPAM, but now things are on track. He came out, was early for our appointment (that is a good thing), took the time to really listen to what my wife and I wanted, and is creating a quote. The past issues are behind us, and so far, I am really impressed with Yanton's. I will update again after getting the quotes.

It was very Nice to connect with the Member's they are very pleasant people. I appreciete their understanding, we had some email issues. Technology is a good and a bad thing. I email most all of my estimates and responses as it seems to be most convient for most clients. But .... sometimes emails get kicked to spam folder on either end, or dont ever go through depending on the security of the system. I wish the Boeh's the best in all that they do.

Things went smoothly from estimate to completion. We have only praise to offer.
Description of Work: We are putting our house on the market and needed advice about how to spruce up the premises without overspending. Chris Yanton gave great thought to my estimate. His original bid was higher than I'd asked, but he was clear with me that he wanted to offer me his best plan so that I knew what was possible. We could, he said, cut back to what I could spend after. The plan was excellent, and, while I wanted to pursue it all, I asked to trim back due to the nature of our purpose. Chris had no problem with this and got to the price we needed. The work was done as soon as weather permitted, long before we had hoped to have it all done. The house looks beautiful. I was impressed by the care he took with our home. We are very pleased.

This time we needed some trees taken out and new ones put in. Chris suggested River Birch and we ended up installing 3 of them and they are gorgeous. In fact I would like to get more to finish out the rest of the yard - maybe next year.

Chris Yancey came to my house on April 23 to give an estimate. I talked with two other landscapers whose price was less, but who also didn't suggest much to address the water issue. I felt that Chris knew what he was talking about. He also didn't make a common mistake, assuming that a customer is completely ignorant of what needs to be done. I did know some of what needed to be done and felt I could trust what Chris was saying to me. On May 1st I gave Chris the go ahead and he said it would be 4-5 weeks. During that time I began HOA approval for the process. Approval was granted, but the project had to be completed by June 30 or the approval process would have to begin again. It rained a lot early on, then we had nicer weather and I didn't hear from Chris, even when I emailed specific questions. I became concerned that I would have to start the process of hiring someone again when he showed up at my door on June 28. He had called that morning, but I had misplaced my phone. Along with Chris came several trucks, heavy machinery, supplies and four workers plus Chris. They worked hard for five hours, with at least 4 men working all the time. One day later the little patio looks great. It hasn't been tested as to drainage but after seeing the trench outside the patio area that they dug, adding drain tile and gravel, and all the gravel under the pavers, I have hope that the problem that the standing water is a thing of the past! This company gets good grades for the quality of work, and not so hot grades as far as communication and organization are concerned. I would work with this company again, but would want a confirmed date of installation.
Description of Work: I wanted a small 5'X6' paver patio added next to the sidewalk leading to my condo door. A problem to contend with is that this area collects water, which backs up on the concrete walk in front of the door.

Chris came out very promptly after my first contact to take measurements and give me a free estimate. The project entailed installing a stacked block retaining wall around our new front porch, designing a planting the resulting raised garden bed, as well as designing and installing a another smaller garden near our driveway. Chris was very good and patient with me in discussing the plantings for the design, even researched some plants I had read about that he was unfamiliar with (turned out that these were plant hybrids that had just been developed and weren't even going to be available to purchase for another few years....so no wonder he wasn't familiar with them...LOL) He brought out stone samples and plant resource books so that I could have a better visual feel for the overall design. His estimate was far more reasonable than any others I had obtained for the same project (I had talked to at least four other companies).Understanding that weather can make pinpointing an exact date a bit difficult, he and I agreed on about a three week window. He and his crew accomplished the project within that deadline.....and all in one day! I was extremely impressed, not only by the quality of the work, but that they accomplished the entire project from start to finish in one day....and they did a fabulous job cleaning up after themselves...including sweeping our drive and walk AND the area of the street where they had been off-loading materials (mulch DOES seem to have a life of its own). I will definitely use this firm again for future landscaping/hardscaping projects! Highly recommended!!!
Description of Work: Installed retaining wall approximately 35 feet long (varying height due to sideways slope of front yard) The wall was properly trenched, with compacted crushed stone as a base. Every stone was checked for level as the work proceeded. Concrete adhesive was used between the blocks to preclude major shifting, and the wall was capped with custom cut coping stones (in other words, no gaps on the top of a wall that takes several curves), also applied with a concrete adhesive The garden was properly backfilled with gravel and soil, and they installed a buried downspout drain down through the bottom of the wall. The agreed-upon shrubs and plants were planted per the design and everything was mulched The small garden near the foot of the driveway was also installed exactly in accordance with the design.

They were good and reasonably priced. I would probably use them again. The owner knows landscaping but the rest of the crew just did the labor. They could not answer any of my questions. He left some tools here and I have left 3 messages for him to come and pick them up and I have had no response.
Description of Work: They tore down a dead tree and planted 2 new ones. They also installed a rockscape on the side of the house.

Chris came out several times to our house to help us with a design for a very steep hill in our backyard. He had good ideas and we felt his pricing was a good value. I had a total of 6 bids from different companies and they all had different approaches to the job. We liked Chris' ideas the best. He emails the estimate the same day. He guided me in choosing pavers that would compliment our house color. He and his crew came each day from 8:30-5:30 or 6pm. They worked hard everyday and were dependable. Some contractors are gone by 3pm...not these guys. They were very courteous and polite guys. I felt the work they did was even better than I had imagined it would be. They had to drive a Bobcat around in the backyard and they did rake the soil and at my husbands request tried to add some dirt so the ruts would be gone. They do a super job of cleaning up after themselves everyday. We added more to the project because we liked how it looked so well. Chris gave us great pricing so we couldn't resist.
Description of Work: Installed a paver walkway with 3 limestone steps, installed 3 boulder retaining walls, fixed older front step sagging pavers, spread several tons of creek rock under our deck.
