The guy that did it was supposed to remove the refrigerator upstairs to downstairs and he didn't know that. The guy lied to us. He said, "They're going to charge us." So we had to pay extra money for that. We did; you can't leave the refrigerator. They were just going to unplug it and put the other one in and we wanted it downstairs.

I was glad they were able to come out the day after I called. Wasn't happy they gave me an 8 to 5 time frame though. Technician showed up about 3:30 and did call me several times during the day to let me know when he would be out. When I initially called and talked to the service lady, she convinced me to buy a $200 one year service agreement on my 9 year old water heater. I figured if it was time for things to start going wrong so I agreed. The call was about $252 so the agreement was money well spent. The technician was very informative and let me know what he was doing the entire time. Very happy with this service.

Was disappointed their service did not include a 4 wheel alignment. in the original price. The previous tires had been on there for quite some time and it really needed the alignment. They would have done it but they were going to charge about another $95. There are other places that will do it for a lot less.

I scheduled an appointment online through SEARS website as they recommend due to and quot;call volumeand quot;. The first available appointment was 1 week away. I scheduled it for between 1-5. The cost was supposed to be $65.00 per website. The Technition arrived on time. He removed the back panel of the refrigerator, told my wife the fan was bad, (which we already knew). He gave my wife a ticket with an estimate, and a BILL for $75.00 for the service call, Not $65 as was on my online appointment. When asked about the difference the Technition just srugged his shoulds and said thats what it is. I do not expect her to confront him about this while I am away so she paid it. My wife asked him if he and quot;could repair it now or does she have to call someone to schedule an appointment or how do we get it repaired?and quot; His answer was, and quot;well if your husband is handy he could get the part and replace it himselfand quot;. He then asked if he could leave by through the back door. He left the Back off the refrigerator and the refrigerator pushed out from the wall in the middle of my kitchen. I am Military and I work out of town during the week and come home every weekend. I trusted SEARS to send a competent professional out to repair my frigerator and they did not. I contacted their 1-888 number on Saturday when I returned home and was given the run around and told finally after 25 minutes on the phone someone would contact me in 48 hours. I am pretty sure they just gave me the run around. Service was not provided as requested, and I was charged a different amount than advertised on their website for a service call.

l have a house in Ohio and Florida. Our 4-1/2 yr old Kenmore dryer in Jacksonville has an extended warranty that we paid for and the dryer quit on May 6th. Called Sears and got a call-center in Puerto Rico maybe? They scheduled an appointment on the 16th ( next available) and a third party repair (not Sears) guy came out then and said it was a broke belt but he didn't have a replacement and couldn't find one in Jacksonville. He ordered one from Chicago and told us he'd made us an appointment for next Thursday 23rd, but if the belt came early the following week to call Sears and they'd try to set up an earlier appointment. So the belt arrived UPS Monday 20th and I called the Sears call center again. Told them the story and asked if I could get somebody out Tues-Wed instead of Thursday. The person said OK I've got you set up for Wednesday 1-5pm, I said great, thanks. Wednesday nobody came. Thursday ( the original appointment ) nobody came so I called the call-center. They told me my appointment was set up for Wednesday the 29th, a WEEK after what I'd thought they scheduled me for. They said I never had an appointment for Thursday the 23rd, that it was just a and quot;noteand quot; the technician had made. I complained to some poor customer-service type and his supervisor but there was nothing they could do. So as I write this on the 29th the repairman STILL didn't arrive and call-center has informed me that the service technician was in an accident or had an injury and I'm now rescheduled for June 4th! Now I've taked to these guys when they actually do make it out to the house and was told they were actually from Georgia, that they hadn't enough repair techs to cover Florida and that they put them up in motels while they were down here doing what actual Sears employees used to do. So I think they are intentionally short-handed to cut costs. This new plan they have (no more actual Sears service people ) is designed to cut costs but they are actually cutting customers because I will NEVER buy another Sears appliance again. They DO NOT SUPPORT their products or their customers anymore. Beware SEARS/KENMORE if you ever need service.
Description of Work: Nothing, they have yet to make here.

In April 2011, I purchased a brand new kitchen from Sears. It included a white microwave, a white refrigerator, 2 white ovens, to go with a white dishwasher that we already had. I also purchased a maintenance agreement from Sears with the understanding that if anything went wrong with my brand new beautiful appliances, Sears would be out in record time to repair said appliance. FOUR AND A HALF MONTHS AGO, the door to my microwave would not shut. I called Sears and a repairman came out. He determined that the door was broken inside and he could not replace anything but the WHOLE DOOR. So he ordered one with expedited shipping and he told me it would be there in 3 days. One month later, it arrived. I called the repairman, he took the new door out of the box and lo and behold, it was black. So he installed the black door so I could use my brand new microwave while he reordered the door, again with expedited shipping, saying it would arrive within 3 days. ONE MONTH LATER, after many phone calls talking to very unknowledgeable people (I hate to use the word morons) another door arrived and guess what? IT WAS BLACK. I called Sears, they apologized and said they would order a brand new door. A MONTH AND A HALF LATER, and I have not heard a word from Sears, I call them. I speak to this woman who tells me that the door can't be replaced because it's strictly cosmetic and Sears has fulfilled their obligation by providing me with a part that worked. I told her that the part was black and I had a white kitchen and a white microwave. She told me that I needed to listen to her, she explained it to me and I was wrong. I asked her to speak to a supervisor and I was hung up on. After being hung up on twice more, I spoke to a woman who said that the order for the door had been cancelled on December 18. I asked her why it had been cancelled. She said she did not know but she would have the parts department call me within 24 hours. I told her that it had been my experience that no one would call me back. She said she understood but she assured me that someone would call me back from the parts department. 48 hours later, no one had called me back. surprise, surprise! I decided something had to be done, so I went to the Sears store (Fairfield Commons, Beavercreek, OH) that I purchased the $8000 worth of kitchen products and warranties from and spoke to the Sears manager, Melissa McFarland. She understood my problem immediately and said it was ridiculous. First, she looked up the part online on your systems and it said this part is NO LONGER AVAILABLE IN WHITE. Something no one else had bothered to tell me in 4.5 months. So she called customer service and she was told that they could not do anything about it because it was a COSMETIC CHANGE. She went on to explain to these people that her customer had an all white kitchen with a black door to the microwave and that the whole microwave needed to be replaced because it did not match the kitchen. She spent 30 minutes trying to get someone to understand that replacing a white door in a white kitchen on a white microwave with a black door was not acceptable. And they kept telling her that it was a cosmetic change even though the original door was broken. She gave me a telephone number to speak to the corporate offices. They transferred me to Zack employee ID 849232. I explained my problem to him AGAIN and he told me it was a cosmetic change. I asked him if he had a brand new red car and the door broke and it had to be replaced and if they replaced it with a green door if that would be acceptable because it worked. He said of course not. I said I have a white kitchen with white appliances with a white microwave that has a black door. IT IS NOT ACCEPTABLE. Then I actually asked him if he was stupid enough to sit there and tell me that he did not understand what the problem was and he had to admit he actually did understand but he could not do anything about it. He recommended that I write Sears Corporate about it. Now, I really don't expect you to do anything because Sears doesn't seem to care about customers anymore. Sears have filled their customer service department with people who can't speak English, who don't care, and who just s*** out crap instead of trying to assist their customers. Because of a $250 microwave Sears has lost a lifelong customer who will inform everyone she knows, and post on facebook and Angie's list that Sears does not fulfill their obligations and does not care about customer relations. As a company, Sears should be ashamed. This is their response: Thank you for contacting Sears. We appreciate hearing from you. We understand your concern regarding your microwave door. Unfortunately, we are unable to replace the whole unit due to cosmetic issue, the only parts we have available is black and per the provision of your agreement cosmetic issue does not qualify for replacement. Please contact PABA at 1-800-827-6655 regarding your extended agreement. Again, we apologize we are unable to assist you regarding your concern. Thank you for contacting Sears. Sincerely, Alma L. Sears Holdings Corporation
Description of Work: First of September of 2012, our brand new white Samsung microwave door refused to close. We called Sears, as we had an extended warranty, to get it fixed. The technician came out and said the door was broken inside the door itself and ordered a brand new door.

They started upstairs in the room furthest from the staircase. They continued to each room and by the time they were at the staircase, they had completly finished the upstairs. This prevented them from walking on wet carpet. They also switched on the fans, which circulates the air and facilitates faster drying time. Also, before they cleaned each room, they put all furniture (ie nightstands, dresser, ect) on small peices of plastic to prevent sokage into the furniture. One the first floor, they continured with the same method, but started with the couch and loveseat first. They moved all the furniture themselves. It was an absolute professional and seamless job, and were done in no time.
Description of Work: This was the first time I had a professional carpet/upolstery service at my house and I was thoroughly impressed. The cost was expensive, but you get what you pay for. I had the carpet in five rooms, one hallway, and one stair case cleaned and deoderized as well as a couch and loveseat. My carpets looked like new! Two year old stains came out wonderfully. The only thing that wasn't 100% was the smell in the couch and loveseat, however this wasn't their fault. I owned the furniture for 10 years. I have two dogs and even though the majority of the smell was gone, the furniture just needed replaced. The two men that came out were very professional, friendly, and courtious.

I purchased a new dishwasher from Sears and they came out to my house and installed it. I chose Sears because I always buy my appliances from Sears. The price was in the range of $1300. We went to Sears because we looked at the consumer reports. When we first got there, we were surprised because the salesman was kind of pushing us towards the cheaper models, but we wanted a quiet model and that was in the higher price range. So, I was very impressed with that. He seemed professional and seemed to know what he was talking about. The guy who came out to install was on time and he did a good job. He left some water on the floor. After he left, I ran the dishwasher and I didn't know if the water was from the dishwasher or from what he had left on the floor. Once I cleaned it up, everything was fine and that for me is not a big deal. I would use their services again.

We bought the microwave from them. The price we paid was inclusive of the microwave. The interaction was great. They were very good. We were very pleased with it. We have used Sears for years for appliances and we have been very happy with their service all over the country wherever we have lived. We have been very happy with them. They have good appliances in their store. They provide good services when you call. We have been very pleased with their service over many years. They are like everybody else in their pricing. Sometimes they have good sales. Their appliances are of excellent quality. We have had no problems at all and we have used everything pretty much. Their responsiveness is excellent. They come out when you call them. They are very professional. We will use them in the future if we need new work done or we buy new appliances.
