Morry the Handyman

Excellent service! We like the price and the quality of job. He was very meticulous.

Morry was responsive to our phone call. Arrived within the agreed time for both visits. He is pleasant, efficient and generous with his advice and recommendations which saved us money. The work was all done in 100% professional and workmanlike manner. His invoice is precise and clear, specifying each of the charges and materials/parts provided.

Morry ()who is a pleasure to work with; caulked shower tub in a tub/shower unit, replaced a broken outside dryer vent hood with a new one (not an easy fix as he needed to widen the hole, etc.), replaced a light switch that was sparking, replaced a ballast in a fluorescent ceiling fixture, replaced the fireplace damper that was flipped over and very out of place. I trust Morry's honesty and professionalism. There was an issue with my garage ceiling that he could not repair, but he provided me with a name and phone number of someone who could repair it. I highly recommend him!

I had window two window sills replaced because the company that sided my house didn't flash behind the fypon detail at the top of each window.

Morry arrived promptly and completed both jobs efficiently (which was appreciated, since he charges by the hour). He thoroughly cleaned up after the jobs. He is a delightful person, able to do a lot of practical repairs/installations and I'll definitely call him with any jobs that are on his "honey-do" list.

I emailed Morry with a request for services (double checked the email address on Angie's List and his personal website). After hearing nothing, I followed up with a phone call four days later and left a message with my name and phone number. That was two weeks ago, and I've yet to receive even a cursory response. It's radio silence. An actual professional would at the very least return a call or an email.

Came on time, very courteous and knowledgeable. Did a good job. Will definitely use him again.

Morry was a pleasure to work with. He is friendly, knowledgable, professional and punctual. Having just moved into a hundred-year-old home which needed some work, we asked his advice on everything from installing a chandelier to security issues with our exterior doors.. Morry was straightforward and practical. He discussed all possibilities with us, did the work we asked him to, and did the work well. He was conscious of our budget, letting us know if something did not need repair and about work we could do ourselves. For issues beyond his expertise, he gave us several references and personally called them on our behalf. Overall, we were extremely satisfied with Morry and the work he did for us. We plan to use him again in the near future.

Morry was great. We scheduled my service for a Friday morning and he showed up right when expected. Morry installed a porch light into an electrical box that needed a little TLC. He completed the task within the allotted time with a smile. I'd call Morry again if I get myself in over my head again.

Although he is/was often booked a week or more in advance, Morry's schedule offered the flexibility we needed . Sometimes he could come for a day for larger tasks, other times he would fit us into a few spare hours to make progress on some smaller ones. Because his schedule was so flexible, however, Morry was not always super punctual. On the other hand, he always called to give me an ETA if he was running late. Morry was friendly, helpful, and if he couldn't do something himself, he had good recommendations of others who could. Compared to the prices of other handymen I've used in the past, Morry's prices were a little high, but given his cheerful attitude, flexible scheduling, and the quality of his work, we felt we got our money's worth. He's a good man; we'd hire him again in a minute.

Morry is very professional. He came right within the time frame that he told me. He worked the entire time he was here and used the time wisley since he charges by the hour. A very honest, trustworthy person. Very knowledgeable about his craft which he has many. I have used him in the past nd will use him again in the future. I highly recommend him.

He was timely, did what he said he would do on time and on budget

He came out very shortly after we spoke, took one look at the bed and said he could fix it. After some glue, a couples of screws and a clamp, he said it should be fine in 24 hours. Before he left, he asked if there was anything else we needed, and he installed a new doorbell for us.

He did a great job. Had the repair done in a short amount of time. Very prompt polite and professional. Left the work area cleaner than when he got there.

Morry called to confirm his time of arrival. He completed the work to our satisfaction. He noticed that there was a valve that was failing and replaced that as well and left the area clean. He explained to us how the system worked and how to do minor adjustments. He is also good with dogs in the house.

Morry came on the day he said he would. He was on time, he was very professional, trustworthy, honest and personable. I would use him again in the future, he can do it all.

I have no complaints with him. He did a really good job. I would say that he is a “10.” He was on time when he got here. He was courteous. He went right straight to the job. I told him what he was doing. He said he would look and see if that was the problem. When he looked at it and checked it out, he said that the problem was right there. The next problem was the clamp. He tightened the clamp and holes where the water runs out into the tub to go out of the washer. I wasn’t bothered with the water running into floor anymore. The quality was good.

One of the best experiences I've had using top rated Angie's List companies. Nothing is too much of a problem for him- a delightful person. He is quite busy, so I did have to wait a few days for an appointment - certainly worth the small wait. Prior to his visit I had another person look at the toilet, but Morry showed me that it did not need replacing and he proceeded to fix it . It now runs perfectly. When he arrived he got right to work finishing my main problems, Electric and Plumbing, so quickly that I had time to realized that he does Carpentry as well. . I had been so nervous about installing the Coat Rack and the mirror because our walls are the old plaster and lathe, (with a nice stucco finish on them), so I thought it would be too much weight on the walls and the finish, but he assured me and I have now hung big heavy coats on the coat rack and - it is still very securely in place. Very happy about that... and same for the mirror. In addition he gave me some advise about lighting fixtures in the basement that saved me a lot of money., so as I thought, he is a very honest person. I also asked him about installing a second bathroom /shower in the basement, and while he does not do large projects like that anymore, he gave me sound advise on it, which I appreciated. Wish I had found him long ago - recommend highly

He is an amazing man. He gets an A on everything. He is extremely polite and gets the job done. He is extremely pleasant to have around.

I had an excellent experience. They were very professional and I would differently use this company again.

I contacted him via email with a list of tasks I wanted to be done, ranked by priority. He responded in few days and we went over my list and decided to tackle the top 5. He scheduled a date and time and called promptly when he ran late by half hour. He is very professional and took time to explain to me everything. He was willing to work with my budget and spent 2.5 hours at my place. He ran into some unexpected problems like wasp nest in light fixture but he was prepared for it and finished working after spraying the area. He charges by the hour including estimates for future jobs. I have next appointment already scheduled and I appreciate him being detailed, thorough and tech savvy.

I first hired Morry the Handyman in July of 2013 when I moved into my new home which is about 50 years old. Due to the home's age, I needed a number of repairs made. To this day ( a year later), Morry remains, and hopefully, will always be my handyman. The reason I am able to make such a declaration is that Morry has been, hands down, the best handyman I have ever had. His professional appearance and manner (he was prompt and kept meticulous records) ranks second to his exstensive knowledge of how to fix just about anything. And, he has all the tools for any job. He never kept me in the dark, always explaining the why and how of my home repairs. He took great care to ensure that nothing surrounding the work he was doing would be damaged. He insisted on cleaning up his work area (he even carries a small vacuum for that purpose). I have hired Morry at least 14 times since I first hired him in July 2013. His fee of $65 per hour is reasonable. He never lingers on a task, he works quickly, but expertly. Limited space does not permit me to list everything he has repaired, but the repairs covered just about any and everything including plumbing (he repaired leaking pipes, installed shower heads, repaired the ice maker, etc), electrical (he grounded electrical outlets, updated wiring in the garage, installed an outdoor motion light, etc.) He expertly hung an elaborate ceiling light fixture and hung all of my artwork including frames pictures and metal sculptures. He also hung two medicine cabinets, one being 36"x36." He replaced door handles, repaired closet doors, fixed a broken dresser drawer, and fixed cabinet doors that wouldn't close. Nothing was too big or too small for Morry. One of the things I appreciated most about Morry is that, when necessary, he would offer suggestions on a better way of accomplishing a task. What caps Morry's expertise and work ethic, in my opinion, is his wit, kindness and sense of humor. It was always a pleasure to have Morry at my home. I recommend, Morry, unreservedly, as the best handyman in the Cleveland area.

The drawer that was messed up in my kitchen needed completely replaced. However Morry came in and tried to repair it, charged me a ridiculous price and the drawer was not fixed. I felt like he ripped me off and I had to call someone else to replace the drawer. I wish Morry would have just told me that the drawer needed fixed, not just try to tack it back up, for it to fall back down later.
