Morry the Handyman

Morry had installed the new toilet for me a couple of years ago, but I'd had repeated problems with the flapper not closing and the toilet would run. He replaced the handle mechanism which seems to be the problem and did not charge me for the part or labor for that, despite having to run out to a plumbing supply company to get the right kind. He didn't charge me because he had installed the toilet originally and because I'd had problems with it running and he said he wants his customers to be happy. So far, the new handle seems to have solved the problem. Lots of service people would not have done the work for free. The charge on this visit was for the other repairs-- basic service charge fee plus an hour of labor.

A great experience!! Morry is very pleasant and professional. He called back immediately and we scheduled an appointment. When he arrived we went over my list of "HONEY DOS." He came prepared and ready to work. I felt very comfortable with Morry so much so that I left him alone in my home for a few hours. I will definitely call him again.

My clothes dryer broke and I needed a repair. I called another company, but they couldn't come that day. I called Morry and reached him immediately. He said he could probably do it, but he gave me the name of someone who specialized in dryer repair. I really appreciated that he recommended someone else, rather than keeping the job for himself. I called the other man and he said he could do it, but in the meantime I found another person from Angie's List that could come sooner than he could. I called the man back and even he said that the company I chose was a good one. Wow, my whole experience was so positive.

He's very good and very cooperative. He listens and makes suggestions but he's not pushy about it. He's nice to work with and he's very accommodating. I would highly recommend him.

He over charged me for the amount of work that work completed.

Morry did a lot of different work in our house (adding shelf into closet, replaced a faucet, putting children furniture together.) He is very responsible and does great work. We highly recommend him!

Morry no longer does this kind of appliance repair, but he referred me to another contractor who made the necessary repair efficiently.

I sent Morry an email outlining the work which we needed done on a Saturday and followed up with a phone call Monday. The answering machine said he would be out of town for two weeks. I found another service provider, but was very pleasantly surprised by an email from Morry on Tuesday. To me this is a sign of a dedicated professional and quite a gentleman. I WILL keep him in mind for future work!!

Morry arrived just when he said he would and started working immediately. It took awhile to locate the source of the electrical problem, but he explained everything he was doing as he worked. When the problem was corrected, he suggested a few other minor changes in the house that he could make but would not do without our prior approval. He made sure not to incur any charges that he had not previously explained. When he was finished, he looked at our old fuse box and gave an estimate for upgrading it. He also gave us some tips on how to save money through the use of fluorescent bulbs in place of standard incandescent bulbs. We will definitely call Morry should we have any other electrical problems and would recommend him without hesitation.

We played phone tag and the ball was left in his court. I was available everyday but Sunday.

I was impressed. Morry called to let me know he was running late and was here exactly when he had rescheduled. He was very professional and I was honestly surprised that he had the type of closure needed for my door since the porch is quite old and has and old aluminum door with the glass panels already in it. He worked steadily but took his time to show me what else he recommended to fully correct the problem with the door and was willing to take the extra time to complete the work right then. He was completely up front about cost, explaining how he charges when I first contacted him and then very clearly told me how much more the job would cost if I accepted his recommendations. I was completely happy with his work and the door is still working perfectly and it has been over 2 months since the work was done.

He arrived promptly as scheduled, worked efficiently and completed everything on the list as requested. Will definitely use his service again. Also appreciated that he carries a large inventory of parts and supplies in his truck so no time wasted making trips to the hardware store for parts. Note that his time gets booked up well in advance, so call early.

Went well. A lot of work with the porch (came at 10:30 AM, left at 7:30 PM). Porch work was tricky. Deck railing was in the way, but could not be removed. So he worked in between the railing. Old wood was rotten. Matched old mouldings well. I cleaned up, so I did not pay extra for his time. I caulked and painted the porch, again, to save on money. Very friendly. Was booked up a month in advance, but was there the day he scheduled me. Pleased to have work done.

Overall everything went well. He was able to complete my list for the day and scheduled to come back again to handle some remaining items. He was very pleasant, punctual, and tidy.

He took a lot of time with me ahead of time, over the phone to make sure he had everything he needed for the job. He advised me on what types of fans to purchase. He also spoke with me about other work I needed to have done in my home. All of this was off the clock.

I did not have him do the work since he didn't do the type of work I wanted.

I have used Morry the Handyman in the past. Every aspect of the work is professional. I emailed Morry and he called me the same day. We set up an appointment. The work that I needed done was very difficult. Morry showed up on time, dressed professionally,and completed the job. He aims for perfection in everything that he does. If he doesn't think the job is done correctly, he will make sure that it is before he leaves. Morry completed the job to my satisfaction and cleaned up the entire area before he left. Morry is extremely pleasant to work with. I go back to him because he is reasonable, professional, polite, and always does the work to my satisfaction. Whenever I need something done at my home, I turn to Morry first.
