Morry the Handyman

We have used Morry before, we will call him again, and we highly recommend him.

He arrived on time, worked efficiently and told me everything he had to do. He was here two hours and used the time well.

I had him twice. He was great, honest and punctual. He showed up on time. He quoted a price and pretty much came within that price range. He was very personable. We are going to have him to do more work. He called me back unlike other people and he worked with me. He tries hard to give you full information. He gives you suggestions, but at the same time he listens to you. He is not inexpensive, but he is worth it. He was very cheerful about dealing with my mistakes.

Overall, we were very satisfied with the work that was done.

Morry was on time, made the repairs, explained his repairs and was very professional!

He was on time and seemed to work very hard. He gave good advice about what to prioritize and what to wait on. Very progessional and easy to work with. Price seemed steep but I bet that is true for most good services.

Morrie was GREAT! He arrived on time and he was professional from the word "go". He even asked permission to bring his coffee inside (very thoughtful, as we keep stict kosher). He listened to my requests, and made some very astute suggestions. For example, I thought the bedroom door needed to be planed to keep it from sticking. A less honorable guy would have gone ahead and done the planing. Morrie, on the other hand, diagnosed the problem to be a "house settling" issue, and was able to fix the door in a few minutes (rather than taking the door off, and making a lot of noise and hubbub). Morrie was also very understanding as we had to cut the day short...we had scheduled a small party for the afternoon, and he worked very quickly to finish (and CLEAN UP!) before my guests arrived. The blinds were hung expertly and quickly, and the gate is just how I wanted it. I could not be more pleased with Morrie's services. Further, I contacted many other handymen on this list, and they failed to get back in touch with me...I guess my jobs were too small. I appreciate Morrie calling me right away, and making my job a priority. We are having him come back to do more work, and are recommending him to all our friends. I should also mention that Morrie is a REALLY nice guy...very pleasant and approachable. THANKS MORRIE

I inquired about estimates from him for some plastering. He had a set hourly rate that was a bit pricey. He was very friendly and helpful, and he might do great work but his prices were a bit high. I ended up not using his services because of this, but I'd consider using him in the future.

The first cutoff valve in the house had developed a slow leak - if it became more severe the only option would have been to shut off water to the entire house. Morry saw that the only repair needed was to tighten the nuts around the valve, so the whole process took all of 15 minutes.

Morry was completely professional and was very competent. In addition to fixing my fence, he also repaired my neighbor's fence (we have the same fence) and was able to reuse some pickets from my fence for hers. He completed the jobs I had for him promptly and as promised. Although he is a little pricey, he was excellent and I wouldn't hesitate to use him again.

He was a very pleasant person. He said he could not do any work involving ladders. I appreciate that he was honest. He did give me a name of an electrician.

He has been here a couple of times. He is extremely professional and knows what he is doing. We feel very comfortable with him. His prices are fair.

He's creative, prompt, flexible, friendly, and produces high quality work.

After I missed our Saturday appointment, Morry was good enough to reschedule for the following Sunday. He worked through the afternoon, finishing all of the jobs in good humor; everything was done with an eye to practicality.

Morry is very professional and service minded. He is punctual, neat, and takes pride in his work. His prices are fair and there are no surprises. He deserves the high ratings that he receives on Angies List and I highly recommend him.

Morry responded immediately. Arrived within 30 minutes of my call. Advised me what sort of fixture was needed. Quoted me a good price, and actually charged me less, as the job ended up being simpler. Astonishing!

Come to Morry with a nice list like this and he will make your troubles go away. Simple. Easy. I predict that once you work with Morry you'll have a handyman for life.

He did an excellent job. He responded to my request right away. He was there when he said he would be. He assessed the problem, then took care of it.

Morry was very responsive to my phone call. He also came when he said he would. He repaired a total of 5 sash cords ( 2 windows needed both sash cords fixed and the other only needed 1 cord replaced). He was very knowledgeable and used higher quality cords that would last. He had to take the woodwork off around the windows to get to the sash cord weights and did so very carefully. He also vaccuumed up after himself. Morry also fixed 2 toilets that continued to fill up with water due to a problem with the stopper not in full contact with the flush valve. He was able to fix the first toilet immediately. Although he fixed the second toilet, after he left we flushed the toilet again, and the stopper came undone. We called Morry and he was able to fit us in and come back to fix it again the next day. He explained where the problem was in the toilet and did not charge us for the additional pieces it needed.

He is very good and conscientious. The only negative was that he took forever to do things. He was pretty punctual and was here when he said he would be. There were few times when he didn?t come. I think he was pretty reasonable with his pricing.

Work was fine. Cost seemed high for labor involved.

Morry was super! He is pleasant, knowledgeable, honest and gets to the point. He works quickly, which I really appreciated.

Tub was clogged, Morry spent several hours but never really solved the problem. the tub seemed better but eventually it was clear that the job had not been totally successful. Part of the problem was that he did a lot of talking, charged several hundred dollars for a job that took much longer than necessary. With the grounding outlet job he showed little imagination in terms of making the ground wire to the outside discreet. The job was successful, however.

He is meticulous, documenting everything. I feel I get reasonable rates as well.

Morry was terrific. He was pleasant and efficient. Before he actually started fixing the problems, he explained to me exactly what was going on, and how he was going to fix it. After he was done, he went over all the details of what he did, and possible future problems to look out for. What I appreciated most was Morry's integrity. The first time he came to the house, the city had just shut off my water to do some water main repair on my street. I was unaware of this until Morry started the job. As a result of the water being shut off, he was not able to do the repair work - we had to reschedule for a later date. Morry graciously did not charge me for his time wasted on his first trip. So very nice of him!!!
