+ -1 morethey called me back the next day with a quote, so I appreciate the responsiveness. However, the quote was FIVE TIMES that of another highly recommended surveyor on Angie's List. So we went with the other company instead. I understand that some companies have more overhead or what not, but for a survey, I would think, the work is pretty straight forward. I was shocked at how much more they wanted to charge me.
Description of Work: Called them for a price to survey our new house for property lines.

+ -1 moreI would definitely recommend Mr. Nichols to anyone who needs a professional approach to surveying. He is very knowledgeable of the law in Ohio and in our County and his experience saved me a lot of money and time. Besides all that, he is a very likable person who is easy to talk to. I learned a lot about surveying; many of the items like how do you start a survey and how do you know you're right when most of the landmarks used in previous surveys no longer exist. Very interesting!
Description of Work: Needed a new survey to meet the requirements of the underwriter for a refinance of my current home loan. Mr. Nichols and I met on Monday where I detailed my problem (the appraiser didn't do what she was supposed to do and therefor my loan was being held up). Mr. Nichols (who had surveyed my entire plot of land about 4 years ago suggested a solution which would meet the needs of the FHA underwriters and would still allow me to take advantage of the state's CAUV (Continued Agricultural Use Valuation) property evaluation. Today at 11am I picked up the new drawings and property description.
