Ryan arrived to give us a bid, He saw right away how to change to a hanging lamp. Because he had just come from work he got his tools and changed the lights in minutes. Ryan used the chandelier's chain and wires so we now use the kitchen outlet to put the light on / off. The hanging lamp is now a 'chandelier'.

They cleaned the gutters, corrected the leaf guards by putting them up under the shingles on one side, put caps on some electrical outlets, put in ground fault outlets on the front porch replacing the existing ones and cut back the tree line. He was a nice guy. He was punctual. He did a wonderful job. His price was high but he took care of things we had not discussed earlier like the bees on the roof. So that was good. When my brother heard about the price I paid, he joked that he would go into the gutter cleaning business if it was so lucrative. However, there was a small hitch. I live in a multi racial neighborhood. I live in a very nice street but there are a couple of African American families that live down the street. Ryan Hughes has a rebel flag on his truck. I think some people find that offensive. In addition to the rebel flag license plate, he had something painted on the back of his truck window which seemed to refer to the flag. I feel that if he wants to work in such places, it would be ideal for him to remove that flag from his truck. I would not use his service if he does not remove the flag from his truck because I have children who study in the same school as the children from these African-American families. I would not like to have any problems. I wonder if he knows the safety of his truck.

Ryan shoveled the old stones into his truck. Cleaned out the path. Prepared it for the new patio bricks. Used a roller to level it. Placed patio stones into a sturdy walk At the end of the walk he had to fit bricks into the remaining space. He didn't break the bricks, but cut them to fit. Made for a very nice walk.

He was very good. He was punctual. He did a good job. He took his time. His prices are reasonable.

My husband was given a chiming clock for 10 years of service at his place of work. After 2 weeks of sitting in a box I called Ryan Hughes to hang it. I instructed him to call me Friday through Tuesday when my husband works. (I wanted it to be a surprise.) Andy left for work at 9:30 AM Friday morning; Ryan called just as he was driving out of the garage on the Friday. He arrived an hour and a half later...set up the clock...checked the wall...then installed a drywall screw and had it hung in no time. Very professional. Nice. Will hire him again.

He is a perfectionist. He does good work. He has done lawn work and handyman work for my mother for the past 4 years.
