Description of Work: Contacted business for a potential job. Called and they showed up to discuss job. Steve stated he would return with in a week to get measurements. I had not heard from him so called back about 3 weeks later and he stated he had an estimate almost completed. I never heard nor saw an estimate and I did not waste my time calling them back

 + 0 moreTheir quote was reasonable just slightly higher than other folks so we selected a different vendor. I would consider them in the future.
Description of Work: Lucas Landscaping came out and completed a review and quote for the landscaping in the front with a retaining wall and in the back providing gravel in drainage easement and landscaping the hill. They had great ideas and fit me in for a quote and walk through within a few days of calling during the busy spring.

 + -1 moreThese folks are very knowledgable about the local ecosystems and gave advice in regard to concerns that I had about our lawn and the unusual summer weather we experienced. I have used other lawn services and what I do appreciate is their low pressure approach vis-a-vis up selling services. Also, they are responsive as long as you are willing to wait a day or two. I recommend them to any people looking for competency without high pressure sales tactics.
Description of Work: Winter season lawn application and flowering bush feedings.

 + 0 moreWe did not hire him as his cost was beyond our budget. His detailed design drawing, planting suggestions, etc, were so far beyond our expectation, I was surprised there was no charge. This guy is extremely talented, friendly and professional. I'm still using his suggestions as I add plants to my yard. If I had a $$ windfall, I'd hire him in a minute to do the rest of my yard.
Description of Work: We got an estimate on replacing and redesigning our front steps, walkway and retaining wall beside the driveway and sidewalk. He listened to our ideas, offered a better plan and gave a detailed estimate, complete with extensive design drawing & suggested plantings.

Description of Work: Had overgrown trees removed and front landscaping redone... Very happy with results and suggestions... Still have one area that the heavy trucks created a bit of a dip in the yard.. waiting to see if by springtime the dip is still there.. but Lucas has promised to fix it if the problem persists and I trust that they will.. but overall very happy with install.

 + 1 moreThe design was excellent, the installers and landscapers did excellent work and the overall experience has been very good. Probably one of my favorite and most reliable vendors for my home.
Description of Work: We have used Lucas several times, most recently they replaced two trees and did overall spring clean up with new mulch and replacement of shrubs or plants that failed over the winter. In the past they did a very large retaining wall and patio project along with tiering and placing steps and designing flower beds and landscaping for our very akward and steep grade lot. A couple years later they added on to the patio to accomodate the addition of our two dogs. They have done design, pavers/hardscape, retaining wall, clean up, full lawn, natural stairs.

 + -1 moreThey asked some questions to try to figure out what we wanted done. They were professional and had listened to what we had to say. They took into consideration what we wanted and came back with a quote. It was a little bit higher than other companies. They were good overall, though.
