Lingers Lumberjacks are outstanding! We bought a century home that needs a great deal of work but the contractors couldn't get near it because of trees and brush crowding the house.Nelson Linger gave us an excellent price for cutting, removal and stump grinding and although we had to wait a little because of storms the previous week tying them up, it was worth the wait.Their crew showed up exactly when they said they would and did a thoroughly professional job; they were also more reasonable than most of the other ar borists we talked to . I doubt we'll ever have them do as big a job again but I would recommend them to anyone, especially if you have large trees or a difficult job.

I was very impressed at the skill of the workers, they had a tough job removing 9 large trees that were all along a driveway sandwiched between my house and my neighbors house, they barely had enough room to work but they pulled it off flawlessly. they lifted the trees over my house with the crane after cutting them it was something to watch, very professional.

They did an excellent job. The stump grinder was not as good as the one in 2017. But overall, we would hire them again. They are very professional.

We received a number of estimates for our project which was not an easy job due to a fence and property lines. Linger's estimate was the most reasonable and they figured out a way to do the job without going on neighboring properties. Their workers were personable, punctual and worked hard. They did not leave a mess. The man who gave the estimate and the woman in the office handling our calls and payment could not have been more friendly or helpful.

The charge was pretty high. $1,775. They left quite a mess behind. And broke my neighbor’s fence. I learned from my neighbor. Guy did come and went to see fence. Don’t know if fixed. Stump grind guy used a plow after grinding, tearing up ground as well. That will be expensive to fix. Owner was a little rude to me. It was frustrating and disappointing for what they charged.

This is a wonderful company. Nelson is very honest with his estimates and Wesley and the crew do wonderful work. I have had this company out to perform significant tree work twice this year (2019). The crew is extremely polite and very efficient. They are also very tidy. My yard looks great! Thanks guys!!

I was in need of getting a large oak tree cut down in my back yard. On 9/7 Nelson came out and gave me a quote of $1850. Due to that quote being the best quote I had received, and the glowing reviews here on Angies List, I decided to go with these guys. On 9/16 I called and talked to a woman and told her I'd like to take them up on their quote and set up a time to get this tree cut down. She said they're currently about 2 weeks out with all of their current work. I said that's fine, I just want to get it done sometime in the next 4-6 weeks. I mentioned that I'd like to be there for the job, and there are only certain days I can take off from work. So I gave her about 8 days over the next month that I could do. She took down those days and said ok, we'll call you the day before they can do it. Wait, hold up...I said I kind of need more of a heads up than 1 day to request off work. Can you give me a week's notice, or at least a couple days? She said they'd try, but due to other jobs that might take longer they can't guarantee anything. That should have been my first red flag that this is amateur hour. I've never dealt with a company that insists they can only give you a 1 day notice before they do the job. So the 2 weeks passed with no call, but just to be forgiving I gave them a whole month. Still no call after a month. On 10/15 I called and got their voicemail, so I asked for a call back so we can figure out what's going on. Still no call back. On 10/18 I tried again. Got their voicemail again, asked to know what's going on, said I'd need a call back by the end of the day or I'm going to have to go with somebody else. Guess what? No call back. So I wish I could give a review on the quality of the work, but I can't get these folks to return my calls. 5 weeks of wasted time waiting around for Linger's Lumberjacks to call me back is enough, I now have an appointment with another company to do this work.

If you're looking for tree removal service, there is no need to look any further than Linger's Lumberjacks. I had estimates from three major tree companies, expecting a variety of price quotes, but they were all identical. I went with Linger's because they seemed to be the most responsive, and because of the great reviews they have on Angies List. I'm really glad I did. Linger's said they would do the job in three weeks, but they had it completed in two. The specific job was to take down four large dead trees (including a difficult situation of one partially fallen tree resting on top of another), plus trim a few other trees to below the power lines. They did part of the work on one day, and then came out about a week later with a different crew to complete the job. Both crews were professional, very competent, and committed to me being happy with the finished project. The only small glitch was my fault. When they were done, they asked me to look at the job to be sure everything was done correctly and to my satisfaction. I looked without actually walking into the woods, and didn't realize that two of the trees that I thought were going to be taken all the way to the ground were only taken below the power lines. There is no doubt they would have taken them all the way to the ground had I asked them to, and as long as they are no longer a danger to taking out my power lines, it really doesn't matter one bit. Like I said, that was my fault, not theirs, and even with that, I feel like they did way, way more than what I was expecting, and more than the other two companies said they would do for the same price. While they were here, two of my neighbors asked them to take a tree down for them, and they did that as soon as they were done with my job. Both of the neighbors said they were really happy with the job they did. Like I said, these guys are great, their service is exceptional, and next time I need work done, I won't even bother calling anyone else, I going right to Linger's Lumberjacks. You should too.

I was very pleased and happy with the service. Everyone was professional and polite (estimate, tree removal, & stump grinding). The work was done efficiently and without any issues. I would certainly hire again as well as recommend to others.

I had a tree that I had been thinking of taking down and when I saw that the Illuminating Company has a program to help out with that and use services that they use I decided to call and see about it. I was concerned about having just anyone take down the tree since it was just a few feet from power and phone lines. They recommended Linger's and arranged for them to contact me. Nelson Linger came out and gave me an estimate for taking the tree down and grinding the stump. Because there is no way to get the big trucks and buckets near the tree, the houses are just to close together, he had Jim come with a crew and take it down the old fashioned way. The crew did an excellent job. Jim went right up the tree and right to work, it was amazing to watch, however there is no way I would do that job. While Jim cut the tree in pieces and dropped them down the rest of the crew hauled the pieces out and chopped them up. I was surprised how quickly they got it done. Several days later another of his crew came out and ground the stump, another job well done. I would highly recommend them for any tree work you need done.

Nelson was great. He came out promptly and gave us a fair price (stump grinding was included) for the removal of five fifty foot trees. Wes and the crew were very punctual and did a great job. The crew did anything I asked of them and were quite polite and courteous. I will be calling them again in the fall for more tree work. Very satisfied with all the work done so far.

They were great. Quoted me a price one week and did the work the next. Even though it wasn't a big job for them they made it happen.

It went great. They were out the next day to provide an estimate. I agreed and then they said it would be a week or so to perform the work. To my surprise the trees were removed with a couple days. I would hire again

Very satisfied with service provided

Estimate done in June. They were able to get the trees down before a new roof was to be installed August. Put a bucket truck and crane in small back yard carefully along with a monster chipper. They took extreme care in lowering everything down and not dropping anything to rut up the yard. The employees were friendly, respectful, and above all very careful. Cleaned up as they went along. Their price was in line with other estimates, but the care taken was well worth it.

Incredibly well. We asked them to leave the tree trunks so that we could use them for firewood at a later date. They piled the trunks neatly and took the brush away. They were very neat and professional. They have massive equipment including a crane that lifted the trees so that the trees had a precision landing. I was impressed with the number of workers on the job. Remarkably, they were to lowest (of 3 bids). I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them again. (I gave them a B for punctuality only because the stump grinding team came later than anticipated but everything else was timely)

Linger's removed a huge oak tree from my backyard. It was not in an easy location. It was close to the house, blocked my a neighbor's tree's branches, a foot from a deck and an outbuilding, with wires on either side of it. They showed up right on time, were very efficient and skilled in the removal, and cleaned up afterwards which even included blowing off the roof. They were also very careful to make sure that the crane was situated on my front yard an did not have to be in neighbors yard or on my driveway. They put mats down and I could barely tell where the crane had been. The only sign was the grass was matted a little. The crew was polite and friendly. There was a small mix up with firewood being cut, but Nelson made it right and more! I also had the stump ground out a week later. He was also wonderful, did a great job and even blew the sawdust off my deck when he was done.

They were very easy to deal with, they removed the tree and cleaned up the yard with very minimal debris left in my neighbors. I would highly recommend.
