Linger's Lumberjacks

The owner came out to give an estimate. He was very professional. His workmen were professional and competent. The trees were huge. I would use them again and recommend their service.

The crew showed up as arranged around 1 pm, 3 trucks and four men, and they completed all the work by the end of the day before dark. They also cleaned up all the debris in the yard by the end of the day, so the yard looked great when they were done. They were very responsive to all my special requests during the day as the work proceeded, which included specifics about how to trim the trees, and how to treat the landscape around the ash trees that were taken down. The pear tree storm damage we had made it impossible for us to use our deck, and the fact that they came out the day after the damage was a great relief to us. They did a great job for us in a difficult situation.

It went very well. The crew is very professional and they do a good job of cleaning up. You would never know they had been there, except of course, the trees look really good. I would recommend them to anyone.

They did a good job at getting the stump out of the ground. The man was really nice. He came out and did what he had to do, but he had to come back because my neighbor's car was in the way. He had to come back, and he really did a good job.

Wonderful, would definitely use them again.

The guys were amazing - artists with their cherry picker, cutting and placing the high limbs on the ground, then taking down the huge trunks and putting all where we asked them to so we could use it for fire wood.

I have used Linger’s lumberjacks on two previous occasions & have been pleased by their work. On this visit, I had them grind out a stump (along with the major roots within 5 feet of the stump). All went well. I sifted the debris from the former spot of the stump, add some topsoil and put down grass seed. Linger’s Lumberjacks do excellent work at a fair price.

Good work once they finally arrived. They said they were 2 weeks out. Job completed over a month after the quote . Had to make 2 calls to make sure I was still on the list. When I called the second time they said they were coming that day. No call ahead was received as was supposed to be done per the man who did the quote. They need better communication.

Everything and more was done according to our agreement

Work was done quickly because the trees are dropped in large sections. However, this caused a few problems in the quality of the work. My property was pretty wet. The crew drug the large tree branches across the lawn, which left some significant ruts in the soft ground. A 15-foot long top of one pine tree was pulled down by cutting it loose and letting it fall to the ground. Unfortunately, the technique led to the top of the tree falling into a nearby tree, which severed three large limbs from that tree. The crew cleaned up by cutting the damaged limbs back, but there was plenty of open space next to the three that could have been used to drop that section. In addition, that large top could not be drug by hand, so a chain had to be attached from the chipper, which was on the road. Dragging that across the road left many ruts because the branches had not been removed from the trunk. The crew did attempt to repair some of the damage. However, I would have expected plywood to have been laid on the ground to protect the soft turf.

I told the owner on the phone that our cable connection was at the back of our house where the shrubs were. According to him that wasn't a problem. On the day of the service I was home and told the crew which shrubs to remove. Later I looked out the window and saw one of the crew rolling up a lot of cable. Before I could get out there all the crew had scrambled off except for a young man operating the stump grinder. He said that they did rip out the cable because they didn't know it was there! With the shrubs cut down you could clearly see where the cable entered the house. So we were without internet and home phone. I immediately called the owner and he said he wasn't aware of the cable being there and that I should call the cable company! Really? I was planning to use them again later in the year but not now obviously. I would stay clear of these people.

My experience was fine. We had a 10% off from Angie’s List. The price was fair. Their quality was really good, they cleaned up everything, they did really good. They were punctual. They were real good. We probably will use them again eventually.

The team did a great job. They were efficient, very conscientious of my surrounding property as well as my safety, and did a great job cleaning the area.

They came with the correct equipment and crew and remove all three trees in about three hours. They cleaned up and left no mess and no damage other than a few divots. Excellent job considering the size of these trees and the equipment needed. I would definitely use them again.

They gave a pretty good presentation on their quote. I went with a local company that took more interest in my needs. They didn't ask many questions. They wrote it down and gave me a quote.

The crew with crane arrived promptly and immediately started working. They took all the necessary precautions and were actually very entertaining to watch in action. Less than 2 hours later, the tree was completely removed and yard was cleaned up. I would hire them again in a minute!

Three or four people came out. It took them one day, the same day. For the most part, they left the area pretty clean.

I wasn't home at the time but I would have imagined that it is probably 3 or 4 people that came out. They left the area good/it was perfect, we wanted them to clear out the area and so they cleared it.

Wonderful! Weekly service as promised and yard was nicely maintained. Mark and his co-worker were pleasant, polite and professional. Highly recommend!

They did a fine job, and need little direction.

It went well. Linger's accommodated our request to have this done quickly, as we had a large piece of one of the trees had unexpectedly come down and was lying in the yard. They were timely and charged what they originally quoted (via the free estimate).
