It went fine. They diagnosed the problem as a bad blower motor. They had to order one. They returned after about a week and installed the new motor. It had a 2-year warranty on parts and labor because we had a service agreement with them.

We were pleased with the work and decided to sign a service agreement with them for yearly inspections on our home's 2 furnaces and A/C units for an additional $285 just to have the peace of mind.

They began with duct cleaning. They didn't clean up afterwards well and let all the heat out of the house while working, and left without re-lighting the furnace pilot light. We wrote up a negative evaluation and Mr. Blind called to apologize and he asked us what he could do. At our request he sent an electrician out to install a light fixture over our kitchen sink for us for free to make it up to us. Furnace and A/C installations were very well done. Kent City inspector had nothing but praise for the way the furnace was installed.

They arrived more or less on time. The repair man performed the maintenance. When asked about the noisy fan, I was told that the furnace is old and should be replaced. The repairman said that a consultant would be contacting us. He did give us a quote on a replacement fan about $500.00. We ended up getting a second opinion on the fan and had it replaced for $120. I don't think they were interested in solving the problem, but wanted the high dollar sale.

They are very professional. He checked the unit in the house and the outside unit. He made sure there was no damage to anything. He was very conscientious. He took his time; $198.00 is for a yearly contract with them.

The man that came in the fall to check our furnace was on time, professional, polite and found no problems with the furnace. The service man that came in May of 2008 (on time) to check the air conditioner, also looked at the furnace and left us with the impression that there were issues with the furnace. He said the blower wasn't mounted properly, but he could fix it for a few hundred dollars. He said there was a gas leak, however, when my husband tested it himself, couldn't find any signs of the leak. It appeared he was looking to fix something, anything, to get a few more dollars out of us. We did have him replace a "30 amp contacter" on the air conditioner because he said it was corroded, which was an extra $76. We gave him bleach to clean the drain, because he had none, and had to caulk around the air conditioning unit because he had none of that either.

They are very friendly when they are working. They are very professional about the job. They always show up on time to do the work for us.

They were excellent. They were very neat. They put down a work cloth so they didn't track anything in. They were in and out in one day. I would use them again.

I was most interested in the 90% efficiency that was quoted. They use "Trane" & they believe it is the highest quality on the market. After researching, I did not feel it was any better than the other top brands. They were much "higher" than all the other quotes I received. Did not use for that reason.

Furnace (10 years old) was serviced/checked on Oct '06 and found in good condition. Air conditioner unit was serviced March '07 and service tech said the heat exchanger on furnace was leaking, based on "finding" a washer/rivet on the floor of the furnace; started "pushing" for a furnace replacement, company was running a "special". Asked for second opinion and another service tech came few days later, removed the furnace blower to show me the heat exchanger probably had other rivets/washers missing, turned out to be incorrect and heat exchanger seemed OK, but also advocated furnace replacement, claiming CO risk was life-threatening (Oct furnace check found no CO elevation). Both tech's claimed the furnace was out of warranty, which proved to be incorrect (20 year warranty on heat exchanger). Heat exchanger is ordered and will be replaced (if necessary) by another company, at much less than the cost of a new furnace.

They have great prices and service!! Very neat and tidy, they cleaned up after the work was done. Prompt and efficient.

Blind charges a flat diagnostic fee of $70. No extras, no overtime. They also cleaned the temperature sensor. As part of their service they measured and recorded the gas pressure, damper temperature, and flue draw. Overall satisfied. Others I called for service wouldn't come out until normal business hours. Having no heat and two small children made it a necessity to have my boiler serviced ASAP. Recommend.

I called to set up an appointment for them to come out and clean my furnace, which they installed. They called back with an estimate of $850.00 to clean the unit. I called another company to get a estimate & they were much lower in price. I called back and spoke to the Service Manager, Tim, and explained what I had done and he got belligerent and rude and hung up on me. I called him back and let him know that I was disappointed with his attitude. I asked him for an apology. He got rude and proceeded to tell me off again and hung up. Very very poor attitude. The work they did was half-rate and not complete, the furnace was very dirty. I have only had it for 2 years.

The company indicated they would be out to our house between 12-2 pm. They arrived at 4:30. I wonder why companies promise 'we'll be there between' when they can't achieve it. They did call, to say they were delayed and would arrive around 3:30, but still missed the mark. I had to leave work early, and my husband was delayed for a business trip. Once they arrived, the workers were courteous, friendly and resolved the problem quickly.

I was in a hurry to move back and was amazed that the representative had completed the work the day after the estimate both electrical and AC! Everything was beautiful. No problems and they also advised me on some electrical safety issues, which I am also having them address. I am so pleased with their work and professionalism and flexibility around my work schedule that I am planning to have them renovate my bathroom plumbing and electrical in the near future. I would highly recommend Blind & Sons to anyone. I have seen some comments about price here, but I have found their estimates to be reasonable and their work is superior. They stand behind their work and do it right the first time. By the way, the new AC only added $13 a month to my electric bill, now that's efficient!

Very professional, yet non-negotiable. Did not come in the cheapest by any means, but did appear the most professional and trust worthy, which is probably why we went with them. Ended up having to pay extra for electrical, which was never mentioned during estimate. However, overall, the guys came in and got the job done efficiently and pretty clean, I was pretty impressed.

We had a question about the fuse box and they came out to explain, while they were here they helped us with a light fixture. Great guys, very helpful and I'll give them A's across the board. They are professional, courteous, on time and had good pricing.

PROMPT SERVICE WITH PARTS AVAILABLE WITHIN A REASONABLE TIME. COURTEOUS AND CLEANED UP MESS. PRICE REASONABLE FOR SERVICE PROVIDED AND SIZE OF TANK INSTALLED.

RESPONSE VERY GOOD AND SERVICEMEN VERY WELL MANNERED. COMPLETED WORK IN TIMELY MANNER. EVEN THOUGHT TO REMIND US WE HAD A DISCOUNT COMING BECAUSE WE USE THEIR HEATING AND COOLING SERVICE. WHEN FIRST SERVICE CALL DID NOT FIND THE PROBLEM, THE CHARGE WAS CREDITED TO THE FOLLOW-UP CALL WHICH DID LOCATE THE PROBLEM. GOOD WEEKEND SERVICE WITHOUT EXTREMELY HIGH CHARGES.

I CALLED THEM SATURDAY AND THEY WORKED ME INTO THEIR SCHEDULE. THEY EVALUATED MY FURNACE AND GAS WATER HEATER FOR A SITUATION INVOLVING CARBON MONOXIDE LEAKAGE. I SIGNED UP FOR A YEAR'S CONTRACT FOR $115, WHICH SEEMED VERY REASONABLE. THEY ARE COMING BACK TO FRIDAY TO EVALUATE THE PLUMBING, WATER AND SEWER.

SCOTT, THE TECHNICIAN, WAS POLITE, PROFESSIONAL, AND EXPLAINED WHAT HE DID AND WHY. MY ONLY COMPLAINT IS THAT, DESPITE THE FACT THAT WE ARE LONG-TIME CUSTOMERS, WE HAD TO WAIT SEVERAL WEEKS FOR OUR APPOINTMENT. PAST EXPERIENCE WITH BLIND, THOUGH, HAS BEEN THAT THEY GIVE HIGH PRIORITY AND GOOD RESPONSIVENESS TO EMERGENCIES.

I WOULD HIRE THEM TO HANDLE HEATING & COOLING ISSUES, BUT IN OUR CONTRACT WE HAD AIR DUCT CLEANING INCLUDED INITIALLY. THE DUCT CLEANER CAME OUT FIRST BEFORE THE INSTALLATION. THE WHEELS ON THE DOLLY OF THIS MACHINE, THAT'S THE SIZE OF A REFRIGERATOR, WERE FROZE UP AND IT SCRATCHED OUR STEPS, AND HE LOST CONTROL OF IT AT THE BOTTOM OF THE STEPS. WE WERE CONCERNED THAT IF THIS PIECE OF EQUIPMENT HADN'T BEEN MAINTAINED ON THE OUTSIDE, THEN WE WEREN'T SURE HOW WELL THE INSIDE HAD BEEN MAINTAINED AND WE DIDN'T WANT EVERYTHING COMING OUT OF THE DUCTS FLYING INTO THE BASEMENT. AT THAT POINT WE SENT THEM AWAY AND HAD SOMEONE ELSE CLEAN THE DUCTS BEFORE THE INSTALLATION. WE WOULDN'T RECOMMEND THEM FOR AIR DUCT CLEANING.

DID GOOD WORK, MADE A SIMPLE & INEXPENSIVE REPAIR RATHER THAN TRYING TO PAD THE BILL. VERY PLEASED.
