Crew arrived on schedule. They were polite, efficient and neat. Old equipment removed, new installed, area cleaned. They explained use of the equipment.

Technician arrived punctually, tested and cleaned the unit to include noting the HEPA filter was okay. We have a supply of replacement HEPA filters on hand. I change these filters out myself at regular intervals following our Blind technician's training guidelines . Previously, Blind & Sons installed the geothermal unit and connected the "free" hot water portion of the geothermal to our primary hot water heater. Additionally they also installed an Energy Recovery Ventilation unit that cleans and circulates fresh air throughout the house whilst retaining the inner, conditioned temperature -- as much as 95% of it. Thus further reduces our heating/cooling utility costs. Our home is a custom built, 5 Star Plus energy efficient house and Blind & Sons was keen to assist in the equipment installation. They had skilled technicians available to aid us as we built the structure. All the equipment has to work as a single "system" and they both understood and guided us through the process. They offer excellent service.

First...we have contract with Apple Heating and was quite surprised to find that it was "Blind & Sons" doing the work. We were informed that the 2 companies had merged. That bothered us from the beginning as we were not aware of this since we called "Apple" to do the check-up. After inspecting the air conditioner (which is 17 years old) we were informed it would be best to replace it! We have it checked yearly and had no idea that so many things were wrong. Apparently the Freon our Trane uses is no longer on the market, but Blind and Sons carries it for $100 per unit. We insisted on fixing it instead of applying the approx. $500 repair/parts towards a new one. It is running fine for now. "It was a little unsettling" for our first contact with this company; it wasn't that what he was telling us wasn't true, but ..... We still have a contract with "Apple/Blind" until August for our furnace and air conditioner. We may consider another company in the future.

He told me I needed a brand new air conditioner, but it is still working. I think he is a big rip-off.

We got home from vacation last night (Tuesday) to find our house without A/C and about 25% of our power out. We called them around 8:15pm and the caller was very nice and told us they'd have someone out today (Wednesday). They said they'd call 30 minutes before coming. So I stayed near home all day so I wouldn't miss them. We checked in around noon and they said they had someone in Garfield Hts. and we were next on the list. So I stayed at home, and just got a call at 3:10pm saying that they were just too busy to come out today (Wednesday) and that they wouldn't be able to get anyone out until NEXT Tuesday! What?! That's 7 days later!! I was speechless. He said something about the scheduler making a mistake. And I can see that happening. But then you tell us the next morning so that we can find someone who CAN help us. Now we have to start from scratch, 24 hours later. Thanks a lot Blind and Sons, for nothing.

They did a great job. Very knowledgeable, salesman was not pushy, and the installers did a stellar job!

Serviceman showed up within specified time window. The "tuneup" turned out to be an opportunity for them to recommend over $700 in unnecessary repairs. I authorized a $60 repair of a stripped wire only. Guy didn't even clean off the outside of the condenser. When another serviceman from a different company looked at the unit, he indicated that he had left Blind when they pressured him to recommend unnecessary repairs.

We have contracted with Apple/Blind & Sons for several years. We have a maintainence plan for our heating and cooling. This winter, our furnance was shutting down during the extremely cold days. Although the first service call did not fix the problem, they came out again at no extra charge to figure out the problem. It took some time, but they doggedly figured out the solution. We are satisfied with their prompt service and will continue to use them in the future.

Blind and Sons installed our new furnace and AC over 3 years ago. They are out regularly to perform PM, change filters, etc. I contacted them to replace an outdoor faucet. We are always pleased with the employees that they send to our home - and the quality of the work is great. The only comment - or constructive criticism - is regarding the fact that they will not give you a ballpark estimate of the cost of the work. The price that I was quoted after the plumber looked at the job was quite a bit higher than I anticipated (not his fault). If I didn't have the work done - I would have been charged $45 for a service call. It seems like they should be able to quote something like this over the phone. It really puts the customer on the spot - I understand that not everything can be quoted over the phone - but this was a fairly routine replacement and I knew that. Another company was offering faucet replacement for $69 - pre-paid through Angies List. Anyhow - I had the work done and even though I paid a lot more I feel like he did a really good job.

They did a good job. They performed the work that we expected and they met our expectations.

I have a monthly contract for Ac/furnace checks. It's a great deal and would recommend it. I have used them for these tune ups for a few years now and it has been great! The key is the gentleman that come to the house are super professionals and super nice! They always give me tips and tricks for stuff when they come out! I also have purchased some minor fixes from them also and you can just read above! Again I will keep coming back to them for the yearly maintenance and the staff are truly amazing ! Only con is they were about $400 more for an exact same water heater I had installed from someone else ..

It went well although the service man arrived over a half hour later than he said he would.

Changed 3 non working outlets. Neat, quick and well done.

First repairman put on shoe covers and went right to work. Explained what problem could be and ordered part from his laptop. Had some problems getting a signal.(Probably because of area) Said that part would be picked up the next day from the warehouse and he would flag it so that they would come out same day. Paid with credit card. He was polite and thorough, answered all my questions. No call the next day, I finally called late in afternoon and the operator said that the part wouldn't be available till today and she scheduled the repair. I was suppose to get a call before they came over but did not. Repairman showed up, again very clean and professional. Cleaned the blower motor but not sure if he replaced a part...Took expected amount of time. He explained that the unit (furnace and AC were both past their 'prime' i.e. 17 and 12 years old and that my ideal option would be to replace them. He went through the different brands and why he recommended the one he did. I scheduled an appointment for a (?) specialist to come out and give my my options next week. I had signed up for their service from a coupon on Angie's list but was confused at to what was covered. Service call was $65.00 and the balance went for the repair. He told me that would be applied to the price of a new furnace and the offer was good for 60 days. Overall satisfied with service. They do not provide a bill at time of service but did send it email. I would prefer one at time of service. If part was replaced it would have been reassurring to see it/have left it. Both men were professional and very pleasant to deal with. No senior citizen discount on second bill.

Excellent. Crew arrived promptly. Worked efficiently. Tested the whole system. Cleaned up when finished.

Superb service received. Courteous technician. Explained current condition. While the unit is over 20 years old and will need replacement in the future, Blind did not try to sell a new unit. Told me to run it until it no longer does the job.

Really nice company to deal with from the people who answer the phones to the technicians I have an annual service contract with them so I did not pay for the specific visit

Installer arrived on time and the company arranged for a large enough crew to complete the work in one day. Explained everything that would be done. Work was completed successfully in the single day as promised. Crew was polite and considerate.

Unfortunately their television ads are not what they actually do. We were told we had to be there between 1 and 5 pm. They called about 3:30 pm and said they would be there at 4 pm. Did not arrive until 4:30 pm and was there until almost 6 pm. They had no respect for our time or schedules. The technician was very knowledgeable and polite but we will not wait that long for a service company again. they did not seem to be overly concerned about wasting our entire afternoon.

The representative arrived within 15 minutes of scheduled appointment time. He was knowledgeable, but seemed to already have in mind what he wanted to quote before listening to our thoughts and concerns with our current system. He promised to provide a quote within a few days. After one week and not receiving the quote, I phone to check status. I was told that it must have gotten lost, but he would send right out. Finally, after another week passed, I received a very general email with pricing. I never have received a formal quote and will not be using this supplier.

I contacted Lowe's in response to an ad for Trane furnace and air conditioning units. Blind and Sons accompanied Lowe's for the estimate and completed installation of a high efficiency furnace and central air conditioner. They arrived as scheduled removed old and installed new. Work was completed timely and affected areas thoroughly cleaned up. Due to a scheduling glitch air duct cleaning was not completed the next day as scheduled. It was rescheduled and completed a few days later. Blind and Sons also provided documentation required for energy rebates and completed annual maintenance.

Every time they arrive the service person is very professional, courteous, checks the job to be completed and provides an estimate while here. They are concerned about accurately completing the work as quickly and accurately as possible. They clean up after the job every time. The prices are fair and the quality of the work is excellent. Their service people are also able to think creatively. We had an unexpected breakage in a sink drain part that the worker did not have a part on the truck and he was able to produce a part that has worked for months now, from items he did have available. He gave us the old parts and told us to pick up a new one at a big box store when we were there, to use for backup. The company's monthly fee service policy is inexpensive and provides some definite advantages for us.

They were proficient, friendly, and cleaned up neatly when the work was done. Installed replacement filters in the furnace and humidifier. Overall I was completely satisfied.

It's a pain for me because I have to empty a closet for access to the air handler in the attic. A small guy has to be sent to fit through the opening. Usually everything goes well. They do call the day before to remind me and they call me the day of the appointment to tell me they are on their way.

Excellent, quick work and completely fixed the problem.
