The Fence Guy

Keith came out early on a Monday to take a look and provided me a good price on the fencing I needed installed. It was close to a month and a half before the install started, which I understand they have to deal with weather and waiting on utilities to be marked. The installers arrived to set the posts in concrete and the returned around a week later to install the actual fencing. Quality wise, I cant say anything bad about the chain link, but the 4 board fence was to have " no climb metal fencing in between the board so my dogs wouldnt crawl out. To say the least, he uses the cheapest no climb material out there and simply opening the gate rendered it useless as it bent and broke. Dont even think about using a trimmer near it as it just sends it flying and destroys it. Now I deal with dogs escaping out of what I was told would be a secure fence for my dogs. Along with that one of my gates has to be lifted up to latch as the hole was drilled incorrectly as the crew clearly wanted to get it finished as fast as possible. I will say the crew was freindly and cleaned up every night. Ive texted Keith a few times and gotten no response, my wife expressed concern over the mesh and was told it would be just fine. So off to Menards I go to buy a roll of strong no climb mesh. Overall, I think Keith means well and is a very honest guy, Just a little overwhelmed from what I can tell and needs to respond better to customer issues. I think he also needs to do a final walk around check on all projects to make sure they are up to the standards he aims for. I guess in a way you get what you pay for. He is defintley cheaper than most, but when you use cheap materials You end up paying for it in the end

He built our fence over the winter. We had issues with the gate and multiple boards that are not screwed in. He came back to review the incomplete work and said would be back to fix everything, then we didn't hear anything. I reached out again and he showed up unannounced when I specifically asked for heads up since we have dogs. We were not home at the time and my dogs reacted to him entering our yard. He left and we never heard back again. The fence settled in places and looks horrible and the door locks are completely messed up and unaligned. One of the doors has completely sank in and we can barely open it. All around terrible service and unfinished work.

Contacted several fence companies but ended up selecting the Fence Guy as he provided a reasonable quote and seemed very knowledgeable/experienced. Fence Guy was very easy to reach and always responded quickly to any questions I had throughout the process. After permit was obtained, the installation process moved along very quickly and we are very happy with the end result. We love the quality of our fence and would absolutely recommend the Fence Guy for anyone looking to have a fence installed....could not be happier with how everything turned out!

Prompt during quoting process however the fence started to completely fall apart after just 3 months. The provider was very non responsive and unreliable when it came to repairing the poor quality work. Overall a 6 month process. Boards bowed, cracked and fell apart. Happy to share pictures of the poor quality work.

The Fence Guy was very straight forward about the work and recommendations. He didn't have to take our information back to the office for a quote, he gave us the final price right on the spot after measuring the back yard. His quote was around $4,000 cheaper than the next lowest quote that we received. At first, we had a four week wait to get his crews out to the house to put this in but it ended up being the very next week because of openings. There was a two man crew that came out and removed a lot of bushes/branches in the back yard and installed the fence. It took three days total (with a couple days between putting the posts in the ground and framing the fence) so that the cement could set. I would HIGHLY recommend using this company. They were very timely, great price and very efficient. I have recommended them to all people that I know that want a fence put in. They did a great job! Thanks again.

I once again was very pleased with Keith on my fence repair and replacement. I had him do work for me a few years ago and decided to call and get an estimate for this job. The price was right and since I knew of his quality workmanship, I hired him. He had assistance this time by using three very knowledgeable men who really did a fine job. The entire process took beyond the normal 8 hour day. I am pleased with the quality of the work. The fence looks GREAT!

Keith came out and gave us an estimate on the same day that I contacted him. It took us a few weeks to decide what we wanted, however once we decided, Keith came out and quickly, professionally installed the fence. Keith was also very responsive to our questions throughout the process. We plan to replace the entire fence at some point and definitely will reach out to The Fence Guy - Keith - when we are ready. Would highly recommend him.

Keith helped me find a good quality fence online and advised me on the design and color options, all before I committed to hiring him and without getting any commission from the fence company. He also advised me when the wrong hinges arrived (not his fault). The fence was expensive, but was good quality and his partner then installed it. Keith and this partner were easy to reach, punctual, and professional. The $300 they charged for the installation was a little more than I'd expected, but was still fair.

On Thursday, April 2 Keith came out and reviewed the work I needed and said he had to assign the job to a sub contractor because of his knees, and some one would be calling me sometime Monday April 6, No one called the entire week so I called Keith on April 13 he apologized ask me to text him my address again and this time someone really would be calling me back. It is now April 26 and guess what ; no one called, text, left voice message ,sent up smoke signal or even the old fashion way of the US mail to inform me that you can not do this project. A new potential customer is just as important as the established account because you never know how they can help bring more sales and profit. I am dissapointed that my valuable time was wasted on waiting for this vendor to follow thru when a different contractor could have started earlier. Joyce jackson

The fence installation (spring 2014) was fine but then when I contacted Keith to get a final gate installed I was continually referred to an employee of his to get a date scheduled. The employee never called me back, after repeated calls. I then contacted Keith who assured me that he would get the gate installed, that was September 2014. Then I never heard from him again. I have called and texted this spring and never receive a response.

I gave up on Keith, as well. He seems like a very nice guy and maybe he does good work. Unfortunately I'll never know because he missed two appointments to provide an estimate.

So, I gave up. I would not recommend this company.

Keith and team were phenomenal! The guys were very professional, prompt and extremely flexible. We had to make a couple schedule adjustments because of an easement issue and Keith's team didn't miss a beat. They were understanding and accommodating and politely moved us out a few weeks until we could address the easement issue. The end result was outstanding! The fence looks amazing! I received three bids and Keith's was in the middle. However, I'm glad I chose him. The quality of work was simply top-notch and well worth the price. I would absolutely recommend Keith to anyone needing a new fence.

The service was fine. He does get back with you, its not always right away but he does get back to you. He cleaned the area real good. I wanted another kind of fence and he gave me the correct advice for a fence to go with.

Wonderful experience! They were great, and very professional. They also built a woodshed for me, from my own personal design, and it was excellent. They built this to my exact specifications.

Very accommodating and easy to work with. He was able to install the fence while we were on vacation and sent us pictures every day of the progress. Wonderful fence and amazing price compared to several other quotes that were as much as $15,000 MORE than what this cost.

I had to enclose my backyard. Keith was one of three bids I solicited. He was by far and away the cheapest and most responsive to my ideas and needs. During the process he always replied to my texts and phone calls in a very timely manner. His crew worked hard and cleaned-up each day. The fence looks great. It was just what I wanted. I am going with the Fence Guy for all my future fence needs. UPDATE-5/20/2015: I noticed several weeks ago one of my gates was sagging. It was kind of a concern, but I figured it was settling. I extended the hole a little lower to accommodate the latch. Now I have noticed the gate is sagging even more. What I saw amazed me. The screws seem to be breaking off the metal plate that holds the hinge. I have contacted Keith a couple of times this week and I am positive I will hear from him very soon.

Keith was prompt with the estimate. We felt it was a fair price for the amount of work to be done.The crew was very professional and nice! They worked very hard removing all the old fencing and replacing it with the new. They did a great clean-up job! We are very pleased with our new fence! The quality and workmanship are excellent!

It took a lot longer to get the face installed than anticipated but this had nothing to do with the customer service on The Fence Guy's part. We were dealing with HOA approvals that took quite a bit of time to acquire. Keith made sure that all information that the HOA needed was provided. Once approvals were in place the fence was up within a couple of days. Keith also made sure that the fence was constructed with a small dog in mind and lowered the height of the lowest slat. What I also found impressive was that originally I thought I wanted a split rail fence. Keith gave us the details of construction on both the split rail and horse style. He said that not only would a split rail cost us more but it wouldn't look as nice since we needed the wiring installed. With a horse style the wiring could be fully enclosed. I appreciated that he didn't try to push the more expensive option and gave us all of the information for us to make the best decision for our needs.

Our job was completed in just a little over 3 weeks from the time we signed and gave Keith our deposit. The crew was professional, hard working and got the job done without any problems, They also cleaned everything up to the point that we would never have known they were there. We could not be happier with the finished product. Our dogs are happy as well. I would not hesitate to recommend them to a friend.

I was being jerked around by a surveyor which kept pushing back tge install date. Keith was very understsnding, as nd when I was finally ready to proceed, he was very responsive and had a crew out in a few days. The install took 3 days, and the fence exceeded my expectations.

Keith came out and gave me an estimate to replace 2 split rail fence posts and replace the gate in my backyard. He said they were very busy and it would be a couple weeks before they would be able to do the work. It ended up being more than a couple weeks, but I wasn't in any big hurry and I knew he was having trouble getting the same kind of gate posts that had previously been there. He did a nice job and I would use him again.

Love our fence! Keith is very informative and up front about fencing possibilities and suggestions. His group of guys that built the fence are another story. They got it done in a day after posts were cured but the guys took 5 breaks (no exaggeration) in the span of time they were there. Forgot supplies, had to run for this or that, etc... Still love the fence I just wasn't expecting to have clean up extra supplies after them because they finished after dark. Would still highly recommend. Keith knows his stuff!

Keith was very prompt in communication through the whole process. I thought the price seemed very reasonable. He and his crew communicated very well and timely. They answered all of our questions. Job was done very well. We are pleased with their work. We would definitely recommend.
