Keith and his team were very responsive in both the estimate and in talking me through my options. He was not a pushy salesman, which I appreciated, and provided me with enough information for me to make the right choice for our needs. Within 1 week of confirming I wanted to go with them, they were out working on it and were able to get it completed within a couple days with no issues. I would definitely recommend him to any and all of my friends and family.

Fanastic! Could not have asked for better service or a better result. Keith worked with us every step of the way to make sure every detail of the fence was just the way we wanted it. His installers were professional and had a great attention to detail. I would reccomend going with this company to anyone looking for a great fence for a great price.

Keith was great. a lot of folks wouldn't do smaller jobs than 100 ft. Keith was willing and did a great job. Very helpful even helping us find something that would work in the space we had. A word to the wise, you need to get your name in quick as he is always super busy. Great experience.

The work has not been performed. I chased Keith down for weeks trying to get him to honor the commitment he made to do it. Twice I took an afternoon off from work to meet him and twice he didn't show up. He promised to let me know what was happening and when to expect him and he never followed through. The fence was installed and we are pretty happy with it. They did forget to put the half inch gap we requested. If you are a person who requires prompt and respectful communication, I strongly suggest you do not hire this contractor.

Not well. Not at all. I was surprised at the rough cut quality of the cedar, and was told they don't make it like they used to, but that wasn't the real troubling issue. I made it clear to Keith that because of the length of the yard (about 100 X 40ft) ) I expected a sturdy foundation of poles so not to lean- as I installed the previous fence with poles set at about 2.5 ft and I was not wanting to invest in a fence that wasn't going to remain straight for a while. My fears came true. I didn't expect to have to 'babysit' the installers, but when I came home and saw them sawing off 4X4 posts from the top of the fence, I guessed they hadn't installed the fence posts deep enough. Keith complained that my yard was too gravelly- that he never saw anything like it. Really? I explained that we had not used cement 20 years earlier to set our posts, but tamped in gravel and dirt (old farm method) to support the posts-which worked great for many many years. He had pulled out the posts so he knew. I suggested he offset the posts from the original holes. no can't do that.. (why?) If there was a problem then why not let me know, instead of going ahead with a shoddy installation. When the cement failed to set up and the posts leaned, he dug out and added more cement, and replaced some warped 4X4's. When I complained of the whole fence leaning and warping- he blamed the wood. He replaced the back drive through gates and admitted he should have used 6x6's in the first place. The walk through gate in front is unusable unless you fight with it. A couple times the gate just fell completely off- my young grandson had just walked through it- and could have been hurt. Nails used were not galvanized and are rusting. Seriously, my old fence was better than this one. - Keith's attitude was not one I appreciated at all. He did not take responsibility and replace it even when admitting it was done incorrectly. He tried to get us (my son and I) to take it apart and take it back to Menards to get the warranty... I wanted him to do it- argued back and forth- He would not responsibly work with me or give ANY refund, and acted as if I was annoying. I have printed conversations from Facebook messaging to prove his admitting fault. I sent him professional letter of requesting refund, and did all I could do short of take him to court. I can not write the words here that expresses my disgust with the whole deal, and I have to look at it every day. I would not recommend this fence company. No way.

This company did a great job. I agree with other reviewers, it was sometimes difficult to get in touch with them, but they came when they promised and did a good job. I had several estimates and they were the best deal. I had a 12-year-old picket fence, the posts were in good condition, but the outside needed replacing. They did the entire job in a day in a half with very little inconvenience for me. We now have a beautiful new fence that is very well built.

It went well. Keith was very responsive to our phone calls. His crew built the fence quickly and with great quality. A few of the locks on the gates need to be fixed due to settling, however, they exceed my expectations and did a great job.

It didn't go at all. I called twice, left messages asking for a return call and no call came. I guess he isn't interested in doing business I moved on and am getting estimates from other companies who do return calls and do come promptly to give estimates.

We were able to get the company to come out for an estimate, but were never able to actually get anyone to come out to do the work. The last communication I had with the company was via text message, and I was told "we can get to your job next week if the pickets are done by then". This was the last I heard from them. I can understand that the Spring is a busy time, but simply not showing up to do a job with no follow up is not acceptable. We will be going with another company.

Keith and his team were great to work with. Keith is honest and to the point. The rain we've had off and on the last couple of months really played a factor in getting our fence completed, but Keith was very responsive to my calls and questions. After they ripped out the old fence and set the new posts, they provided a temporary fence around our yard for our dog and the neighboring dogs. The team is very detailed oriented and very polite. We will definitely be recommending The Fence Guy to anyone looking for fence work.

Keith was outstanding! I apologize for being so slow to post a review because he deserves kudos for the fine job that the did. I met Keith last fall when he was installing a neighbor's fence. I asked him to provide me with an estimate, and he did. We finally decided earlier this year to have the fence put up, so I called Keith. As soon as the weather was warm enough, he was here building the fence. It looks fantastic. The final price was just a little bit more than the estimate, so I asked about an Angie's List discount. Keith indicated that he had already calculated the discount, but he still knocked off another $150. Wow!!! I know that this was a great price because I had other estimates completed by other companies. I really could not be more pleased.

Keith Pickens responded quickly to our request for an estimate and walked us through options. He suggested installing cedar dog-ear fence pieces, which would then be cut into an ornamental scalloped top since we live in an historic neighborhood with some fairly stringent rules. The installers, Micah and Rachel were amazing! They were fast, efficient, extremely polite and professional. They removed all of the old fencing and installed the new fencing (one board at a time) in a little over two days, which is extremely fast for the size of our property. They were like machines. The final product was perfect! The scalloped top on the fencing is beautiful! All our neighbors were very impressed with the new fence and speed with which the job was accomplished. We HIGHLY recommend using Keith Pickens, The Fence Guy!

No work was done as no response was ever sent from my texts. I have moved on to other fence repair companies. Very disappointed in lack of follow-through.

Keith was friendly and to the point. The rates were very reasonable and the work was done in a reasonable time. The quality is quite good and I would recommend him to anyone considering building a fence.

My fence is about three years old. I had used a different fencing company for the installation, who promptly became utterly unresponsive when the fence required fixing. I called Keith because it said on his information that he performed fence repair. Keith was a dream to work with. He returned my call the same day, and offered to come out and take a look at the fence that same week. He then met me at my home the following week, fixed the latch and also fixed a panel that was unattached - at no cost! He is clearly an honest guy who cares about both his business and his customers. He had actually bid on my original fence install and I chose another company. If I had known then what I know now I would have chosen differently and gone with Keith, who I trust would have done a great job both on the install and any follow up issues.

Keith was out as promised for estimate and then as promised to do the work. The fence was built by hand with wire between the panels. We made last minute changes and they were very accommodating. The fence looks great and I am confident that if we were to have any problems in the future, Keith and his team would correct. A++

The job was an all inclusive price which included cutting down several large honeysuckle bushes and removing part of a chain link fence to make room for a new gate. The team custom built the fence around the existing trees and obstacles in the yard in a way that was secure and attractive. They helped make decisions in the layout that would provide additional security and made sure that all the street facing panels were set attractively. They quoted a two 1/2 week start date and started on time. The crew was very well organized, from delivering materials to ensuring that all the posts were set correctly before the framing began. I especially appreciated the crew foreman Mike discussing with me the way that I wanted to set the screening for the best security for my large dogs and the best aesthetic appeal since it was such a big fence. In the end they delivered an extremely well crafted solution that met all of my expectations. They did an excellent job with cleanup and were extremely pleasant and polite. I look forward to having them back to fix some fencing I had done by a competitor that was nor built nearly as well. They even offered to work on weekends to get the job done quicker (which I took them up on!)

Awesome! I called three fence companies (all rated Best in Angie's List) for an estimate - one said they were too busy to be interested and the other gave me a proposal that was 5 times the price of the Fence Guy's. Even though it's the busy season for fence builders, The Fence Guy got my small job completed in less than three weeks. The installer was a very nice and professional lady named Amy, who took great pride in her work and craftsmanship. Great people, great job, great price!

Keith and his crew did a great job! The fence looks wonderful and they managed the landscape challenges they faced very well. I would strongly recommend Keith and his crew at "The Fence Guy" for any fence repair or installation.

entire job took 12 days from removal of old fence to completion of new fence. reasons were : they are very busy, weather. and--- they are very busy ! listened to what we wanted as far as gates, spacing , etc. all workers were upbeat, seemed to know their business.

First contact the first week of June. Estimate received 6/4 and decided to proceed. Spoke with him again today 8/12 and it was going to be at least one and a half more weeks before anyone could come out to begin. This is after many claims to have the project done in July. Clearly 2.5-3 months of waiting for a small job (~$3500) is insane and unacceptable. There were three times when he was unreachable/not returning phone calls for a week at a time and unresponsive via text, email or voicemail. His voice mail is currently full. Interestingly he seems like a nice guy (we chose to work with him based on our initial very positive experience - he was not cheapest) and was initially very quick to produce quote and answer questions. However, lack of professional behavior and unacceptable delay forced us to go elsewhere. Did also at one point send out a crew to work on my house. They brought the wrong equipment, didn't know what they were supposed to do (thought they were ripping out a tree along the side of my house no where near the fence in question), and wanted utilities marked (after Keith said we didn't need them marked to begin project). They left immediately and we heard nothing back from Keith for 1 week. Overall - very disappointing experience - especially given the price (which was comparable to other quotes).
