+ -1 moreThey got the sink fixed in about ten minutes and I had purchased an (I think) hour. I was a little dissappointed that they didn't redo the whole bit of plumbing. They essentially replaced one piece and called that done. After further thought on my part, I had to realize that the fix was just fine. Why borrow trouble and try to re-plumb the whole thing when it wasn't necessary. They asked me if I had any other problems I needed addressed since I had already paid for the deal. I had a minor stopper issue that they thought they could resolve, but apparently is unfixable. I had actually had another plumber look at it some time ago and they drew the same conclusion. They continued to look around the house for any issues, gave me a few pointers and I let them leave. They were very nice and I trusted them. I just bought more than I needed. I would use them again.
Description of Work: I got the big deal as I had installed a new kitchen sink myself and couldn't get the plumbing hooked backed up correctly.

Description of Work: We had originally purchased the big deal to get some work done in our home, but he came and felt we didn't need the work. He didn't charge us for the call and told us to call again when we needed another plumbing job done. Months later, we called him to install a basement laundry tub. He did a great job and it only cost us a little extra.

He made recommendations that were in my best interest based on the work being done and the fact that I had not bought the best quality replacement. The work was completed in a tmely manner and with no issues. I was very pleased and will definitely use this company again.
Description of Work: I used an Angies List coupon to have a plumber come in to replace a bathroom faucet that was not working properly. I had already purchased the replacement. I scheduled the work via email.

+ -1 moreWhen I called regarding our leaky faucets, the office manager asked me what brand of faucets I had to insure that Bill had the correct parts on his truck when he came out. Bill came out at the scheduled time, was respectful of our property, performed the work that was asked of him, plus cleaned up after himself. It was a very positive experience. We will definitely use Blessed Plumbing for future needs.
Description of Work: Bill repaired two leaky faucets. (He completely rebuilt our kitchen faucet.) He did a great job, was prompt, courteous and attentivie to our needs. In fact, several weeks later the plastic bolt/washer on one of our toilets burst, spraying water everywhere. Because of our positive experience with Blessed Plumbing we called them right away. Bill came out promptly to replace the hose connection on that toilet and at our request, the hose on our three other toilets.

Description of Work: After having some counter work done in the kitchen, Bill re-connected the supply lines to our kitchen sink. Then he looked at our water heater to evaluate the installation. He advised us that the water heater did not need to be re-installed, then replaced the pressure check valve.

Description of Work: Bill from Blessed Plumbing came to my house on Friday to give me an estimate on missing gas lines in the basement that run to my gas fireplace. The first gentleman that I had in my home explained that their was a piece of gas line "missing" in the basement which is why the fireplace did not work. Bill explained that this was completely wrong information and that my home was equipped with a gas line in the home for the fireplace and a secondary line that runs outside to a gas grill. He identified there was a small piece missing and mentioned he bet it fell out and was somewhere in the crawl space. He proceeded to get into my crawl space, find the missing piece that connects to the key and show me how exactly it works once I buy the key that connects to the floor upstairs. He then showed me how the lines work upstairs, where to start the fire and how to replace the log equipment. He offered to come back and connect the new log equipment once its purchased. His 20 minutes in the home was completely free of charge! I would definitely call him again with any other gas line or plumbing problems.

+ -1 moreHe used liquid plumbers tape and got it all over his hands and the shower arm. Did not wipe off his hands or the shower arm. Got it on my granite shower seat, and the floor, too. After I mentioned what I saw, he started to clean up a little but I could tell he was not intent on doing a good job. He acted as though he was irritated by the fact that I noticed the mess and did not even apologize. So, while he stood by, I took over the cleaning. I was able to remove most of the mess. Later I found even more of the white goo on the shower floor, and on the second shower head, which was not even involved in the project.
Description of Work: Requested replacement of shower head and addition of valve to control water pressure. That work was done.

The outdoor faucet he determined was not actually leaking and did not need to be replaced. He still had almost an hour of time left, but I didn't have any other plumbing things for him to do.

Description of Work: My first experience with Bill Dempsey and Blessed Plumbing was in July, 2012, when I had him come out to tackle several plumbing fixes in a new home. He replaced the garbage disposal, reseated a toilet, replaced two tub drains and replaced a sump pump. While these repairs were not inexpensive, I didn't think I was overcharged, either. Bill and his team took the time to review the sump pump workings with me, to explain the best means of cleaning my toilets to avoid damaging the flushing mechanisms, and the dos and don'ts of the garbage disposal. I appreciated this work, thoroughness and personality so much that when a pipe in my basement began to leak - where the connection to my ice-making fridge was - I called him, inspite of having a home warranty in place. Bill came out, explained why the pipe was leaking (the installed connector was not 'to code' and was faulty) and what he would do to fix it. He did not have the connectors necessary to do the repair at that time, so we scheduled a followup appointment. When he came back for the follow up, he completed the fix fast and well, I have no more leak AND I know I have a connector that is up to code standards.

One downside is that the appointment was for a 4-hour window, and not a specific time. The plumber showed up toward the beginning of my 4-hour window. He was professional and courteous. I showed him the faucet and copper leading up to it that needed replaced. I also showed him a leek in my bathtub, and he advised me that it would be cost prohibitive to fix, unless I was doing a major remodel. He finished the faucet quickly, and even showed me what I was doing wrong when I tried to solder the copper.
Description of Work: The plumber evaluated a leek in my bathtub and replaced an outside faucet.

He had some trouble removing the old filters on the water purification system put persisted until he got the old filters unstuck and the new filters on. He gave me an option of replacing the old insides of two toilets or replacing the internal parts. All went well, Bill was friendly and efficient.

+ -1 morePlayed telephone tag to get appointment scheduled. Then there was some personal issue and they cancelled the appointment. Again it took days to connect again and get rescheduled. When he did come he was to replace the faucet on the laundry tub. I had puchased the faucet from Lowe's and confirmed it would fit the exact tub I had bought from them. When the plumber looked at the box he said no that will not work on that laundry tub. He said it needed to b 4 inches and what I bought was too big. When I asked about the coupon for the 2 hours he said I could keep it because it was good for a yr and that his charge would be $50 for today. He didnt even want to open the box to see the faucet just said no it wont work. Unfortunately, I paid the $50. I read the instrucitons for installing the faucet & ended up doing it myself! I called Blessed plumbing and asked for my $50 and the $99 back. They said they would send me a check for the $50 and that I would get next week (August 27) but I needed to go through angie's list for th $99 refund. I would like a refund of the $99 because I will not use their services again.
Description of Work: Bought the special $99 for 2 hours of plumbing. Plumber was to install a new faucet on the laundry tub and check the shower head because it was leaking at the connection.He did not install the faucet but did check the shower head all which took a few minutes that cost me $50! I did not get the level of service I paid for and still I am requesting a refund of the $50 I paid direct to the provider and the $99 I paid to Angie's list.
