Stack Heating & Cooling

Mr. John D. came on the day we called a very hot and humid day. He knew exactly what the problem was, explained everything well. We were pleased with the cost and used an Angie’s List coupon from Stack for the service call, which was great.

Tony did an excellent job. They came out some day and serviced the A/C unit with parts on the track.

The technician was supposed to arrive between 2:00 pm and 4:00 pm. I took off work to be home at 2:00. The technician did not arrive until 4:45pm. I did receive a call from the Stack office at 4:00 informing me the technician had run into an emergency at his prior appointment, but should be there before 4:30. I appreciated the phone call, but was still frustrated I had to take time off of work for nothing. The technician was very friendly and nice. He spent a good hour at the house checking the air conditioner outside and in the basement. He checked the vents in the basement and upstairs. He did a temperature check. He ultimately suggested that we close some of the vents in the basement to get more air to go upstairs. He found no problems with our system. The second floor has seemed cooler since his visit and the suggestion to close some vents in the basement to force more air to the second floor. I would definitely use this company again!

Mark arrived on time and he was very efficient. Happily the A/C checked out ok.

Mark was excellent!!! He was working in the middle of the day, in direct sunlight, with the actual temperature in the upper 90's, but it felt like more that 100 degrees. He was efficient, thorough, explained what he was doing and had our system up and running in no time. He had more jobs to do, yet, that day, but did the job right, from what I could see, on my air conditioner. I WILL call them again for maintenance and service.

Scheduling over the phone was very easy. The repairman was very punctual and very friendly. He was very quick in diagnosing the problem and very good at communicating to me what was wrong and what needed to be repaired. He fixed the issue promptly. I would DEFINITELY use this company again!

It went well - Stack was one of 4 HVAC contractors that we had estimate this work. They were competitive in pricing, did a nice job, cleaned up after themselves, and did the promised work at the promised price. We were very happy with the job they did.

It went very well. They did a few extra things, like lifting the tank up because I didn't want it sitting on the floor.

I have used them before. I have been using them for a number of years now. They are great. They bail me out repeatedly. I have a 70-year-old steam boiler system in an extremely tight place to get to. I paid around $800 for the repair. The job was superb. They managed to get somebody, who was able to get in there and fix the pipe, without tearing up the floor. It was an unusual repair. The guy had to take his jacket off to squirm into the space and sit back there. He was able to do all the necessary work. I have to give him kudos for that. I will continue to use this company in the future.

It was a good deal because follow-up was free for a year. They are very good at what they do and are very friendly and very nice. They did outstanding work, and it was very nice that they didn't try to sell me a new furnace.

There are no do's and don'ts. Stack heating is fair, knowledgeable and will do what they promise. I've owned property for over 40 years and have never felt more comfortable with any business as Stack Heating. They repaired the two zone system at my current residence. The two zone system had not operated properly for years even after being serviced over the years by numerous heating contractors. Stacking heating corrected all issues with the two zone system and it work beautifully. They also installed a new boiler in another one of my residences to my complete satisfaction. They are not always the least expensive but they provide the highest quality by far.

I was very satisfied with this service and will call them when we have our next problem with our furnace.

Jeff was on time ...performed all necessary checks and cleaning details.He was very thorough and cleaned up his work area when done. Excellent results.This the best heating and A/C company we have used.

I called today at 8:30 and they said that somebody would be here between 2 and 4. John arrived eactly at 2:00 and was professional, friendly, and respectful of our property.

I had no heat... offered to come out at premium rate...I opted to wait until next day. Provided service but was just too pricey

I came home from work to find the house cold. I was late and I did not want to deal with it, so I called them early the next morning. They came out within a couple of hours. The tech spent several hours trying to fix it - even going so far as to disassemble it while on the phone with the manufacturer. But it was not to be. They charged me $135 for this visit (maybe 3 or 4 hours work). This was applied to the new system purchase price. Later the same day a rep came out with recommendations on replacements (they had already measured my house for the anticipated AC replacement). Literally the next morning they were at my house with new units ready to install. So less than 48 hours from the time I was cold to a completely new system installed and working. They were very clean, courteous and informative. Both the lead tech and the sales rep took the time to keep me updated on the progress and make sure I was happy. During the next few days. they checked back several times to make sure I was happy and even sent me a thank you gift (yummy cookies). They were a pleasure to deal with under the difficult circumstances. I would call them again with no hesitation. In fact I will have them do my annual AC and furnace checks.

They were very professional. They are very family oriented, and response very quickly to their customers. They will return soon to re-regulate again. They honored all coupons.

i called at 10am to get an appointment - scheduled for "between 2 and 4", which is what they offered me. i was very happy to have an appointment the same day. at 4pm, no call no show, so i called them. the tech was running a little late, but should be here by 445pm. tech arrived at 5pm, and got started right away. very knowledgeable, and was happy to explain everything to me in detail. found the problem right away, and offered to let me fix it myself since it was so easy, or have them fix it. the tech really did go above and beyond to make sure everything within the scope of work was perfect, i was quite happy about the quality of service. he pointed out physical problems with my system and explained why they were problems - so it wasn't the old "you need a new commuter valve" scam, it was real with detailed evidence. he gave me tips on things i can do to help with regular maintenance, and explained the instance that i would need a professional for. i really got the feeling that they were here for quality rather than making a quick buck.

A/C was not working even though it seemed like it should. Was able to get a service call the same day. Jeff was able to come out earlier than my scheduled time which was great. He took a look around and determined I had air flow problems as I had never cleaned the air filters. He cleaned everything up for me and was out in under an hour. Everything works great and my A/C is running perfectly. I will use them again in the future.

Our furnace stopped heating our home yesterday. At about 8AM this morning I called Stack and told them about our problem. The lady on the phone told us that we could expect a technician between 8 and 10AM. He arrived about 8:30, introduced himself, put bags on his shoes and went to work. He quickly found the problem--faulty ignition circuit board--replaced it and did a little preventative maintenance on the system. By 9:00 he had the furnace heating our home again. The price for the new board was $270 and the labor was $80. I think $80 for his work was completely reasonable. I am pleased with the service and would use this company again.

In their doing so successfully, they saved us from having to replace a very, very old boiler. For a $100 investment we saved a $10,000 investment. I would hire them again, we use them routinely.

We had been using another provider and when we called, they kept putting us off. When we called Stack, they came and once they came during the middle of the night. This is the first year we are using them.

Everything was excellent. They came out within 24 hours, and were very punctual and neat. They did not overcharge at all, and I was very happy with their work.
