The bad news was, that we had a pipe break in our house that caused major damage. The good news was, we got to replace our carpet through Floor Coverings International. What a stand-up company! Before calling John & Jen Toth, we endured the very unpleasant task of visiting every carpet store near us - each one worse than the last. The "used car salesman" tactics we're agonizing! Every single store had "hidden charges" that were revealed only after I aggressively pushed them into the truth. Additionally, not one of those stores showed us the type of carpet we were looking for. I was beginning to think that we would be stuck with concrete... Then I found FCI. The entire experience was pleasant from start to finish! John came to our home in his mobile showroom. He talked to us about our needs, viewed and measured the space, and explained how his company could help us. At that point, John went out to his truck and brought in carpet samples that were exactly what we were looking for...in both, carpet and padding! The quote he provided was complete... with no hidden charges! We were thrilled! The installer, Rob, was excellent as well! He did a professional job for sure! Excellent workmanship on our steps and the seam in the middle of our large room is completely invisible! At completion, everything was cleaned up and he even vacuumed the carpet before he left! John returned after the carpet was installed, to check everything out and to make sure we were pleased. All I can say is, WOW! Amazing experience at a reasonable price! We will definitely call them again when we're ready to carpet another space in our home!

Floor Coverings International did an outstanding job with our large flooring project. We were very happy with the entire process! Shopping from our home save a great deal of time and trouble. It was great being able to look at flooring samples in our home, under our lighting conditions, and saved us time by not having to running back and forth to pick up more samples. Worked with Jen and John Toth on this job with installation by Jim. First, you should know that this is not your traditional flooring store set-up -- in fact, there is no bricks and mortar building to visit. This is a mobile business in that all the consultation is done in your home at a time that is convenient for you and samples of flooring is brought to you. This means that the focus is on you and they can look at the work the space you need flooring. No waiting in line, no feeling that you are taking too long, no need to know all the details about your floor, etc. You can even keep flooring sample to look if you need to look at them over a few days. Back to the visits, since I work days this meant that John came to my home in the evenings after my workday at a time convenient for both of us. John made numerous visits to meet with me to figure out what was best for my home and honestly until I felt comfortable with the work plan. He is always the consummate professional and is prompt or if delayed will call and let you know. Our first visit was surprisingly several hours – I had no idea all that was involved or needed to be figured out to get a new floor. My house is old so it was more complicated than most. I wasn’t involved in most of the visit so I watched tv as John evaluated the job, measured, checked out what was under the current floor (there were at least 3 floors and 2 layers of plywood) to make recommendations for what would be the best options based upon what things I stated were important to me in terms of cost, care and aesthetics project cost. John is very knowledgeable about homes, flooring and attention to details which I appreciated. Since this is a century home it was very important to me to have someone who understood construction issues as well as make recommendation that honor that design and architecture details of my home. The goal was to create a beautiful new floor while removing what was necessary while not removing layers of floor that potentially could be more issues (was there asbestos in the sealed layers further down? glad not to have to find out!) plus avoiding building up the floor in fashion that would have made the transitions from the adjoining rooms ridiculous looking or unsafe ("you don't want a step or a trip hazard here"). At the end of the visit I knew a lot about my home, my kitchen floor and flooring in general. Then the brakes ... I had guessed that this would be a less expensive job than the quote turned out so I had to take a step back to decide what I could do. For me this meant I needed to talk to others, do more research and after taking several weeks to then visit other flooring stores. I did visit a competitor's job and had them come to my home to measure and provide an estimate. The estimate was lower for the same Alterna product but it was not inclusive so with "add-ons" I think it would have come close. That estimate the company said I would need to shop for my own transitions and finishing pieces. Who wants to do that? Isn't that the point of hiring a professional? As I reviewed my estimates I was concerned about cost but equally, if not more concerned, that the job would be done right especially since this was not something I knew anything about. John had asked me to touch base with him before making a decision since I had shared my plan to comparison shop so we did talk about the differences in the quotes and the similarities. No hard sell just information so it was clearly my decision without any arm twisting. Things on my mind in my decision: 1) the age of my home and complexity of the installation and 2) I wanted to work with someone I trusted to do the job right and had a high attention to detail. It was important to me that they know their installers and select artisans with a strong work ethics and perfectionism so that the job is done right the first time. So after all of my research it turned out that I was back where I started…my intuition was exactly where it was at the beginning. I felt sure that the right person for the job was Floor Coverings International with Jen and John Toth. I felt very confident that I did not have to be a flooring expert or that I would have to deal with things I didn't want to nor had the expertise such as selecting transitions and finishing pieces at a wood store. The other company might have done a fine job but they would not have hand stained my transitions to match, brought out the tile to lay them out on my floor and make sure I liked what I ordered and then come out to see the final job and do any adjustments that were needed (for example my stove needed to be leveled and a piece of furniture had worked loose in the move-- both fixed before the check was written) to make the job perfect. There were a few small scratches to my wood floor from movement of my island and John was willing to take care of the problem tonight by making a run to the hardware to get the product to fix that. These folks go above and beyond. Customer satisfaction truly is their #1 goal. The competitor, when I asked if they would come and check-out the work at the end, said, "no, why?" and then stated after the sale they would send an installer and only be involved if there was a problem. In a world where there is less and less personal contact and pride in one's work this has been a refreshing experience as a homeowner. And although this wasn't a big job by flooring standards because it was my home and my money it was a big deal to me. I appreciated that there was the same attention to detail on my job as if I spend $25,000 not $2,500. So, at the end of the day and what took several months (because of all my need to research and understand not because of the company) the job is done and done perfectly. No surprises except it took only 2-days not 3 or 4. The installation by Jim was done as perfect as could be with no sign that he was even there other than the beauty of a new floor. John closed the loop with the final review tonight. Next project I will absolutely use this company with John and Jen Toth. So, save yourself some time and trouble and trust my research and experience -- there's not a better company or better folks out there. I promise. A+

The carpet and padding job was a breeze from start to finish. I scheduled an appointment online for a day and time that was convenient for us. John was very punctual for the meeting. He explained the process to us, measured the area to be carpeted, and then went out to his truck to get samples of different types of carpet and padding. Once we made our selection, he returned to his truck to complete the quote. It was a great experience to never leave our home, have everything brought to us, and have the process completed within a few hours. 50% of the balance was due at the time. Once the carpet was in stock, scheduling the installation was simple with Jen. The installers arrived on time, were professional in their work and cleaned up each night. They were great with working around our schedules. I would definitely recommend Rob to install the carpet to anyone. John also stopped out during the installation to check in and make sure everything was running smoothly. John came out a few days later to look over the installation and to see if we had any issues with the final product (there were none). We made our final payment at this time. I would definitely recommend Floor Coverings International - Cleveland West to anyone who is in the market for some new flooring. Great job by everyone involved!

Everything went very smoothly. John did a great job of coordinating everyone and everything. Jeff and Robby did a wonderful job installing the floors and everything has a clean finished look to it which is very important to me. I would like to also ad that I have had the pleasure of working with John and Jen Toth over the past year on two different homes. My first home I put new flooring on the basement steps and beautiful carpet in the basement and then I bought a new home and I had the above work done. John and his team of installers are great people to work with. I highly recommend Flooring International.

Their prices and selection cannot be beat. I have recommended them to several people and will continue to do so in the future.

I was very pleased with the quality of my carpet.. John Toth is very professional.. He is courteous, punctual and thorough.He explained options to me.. showed me lots of samples, and spent a lot of time helping explain the process.. I am more than happy with my purchase, and plan on getting some more carpet and flooring soon. I will go through floor coverings again...The follow up was good,and John's customer service is great.. I think the service is way better than I could get anywhere else..

Floor Coverings International was referred to us by a friend. From the beginning John was very professional and was there with us every step of the way. In the beginning, he came with his truck which had quite a few samples. I liked the idea that the samples were brought to us and we could look at them right in our home vs. a showroom. He would leave me with samples and also offered to get additional samples as needed. For example, there was a specific look I was going for with the tile backsplash and he didn't have the sample in stock. He worked with the manufacturer and got the samples quickly. Once we made all of our choices, we signed the agreement and paid a deposit of half the cost (remaining was due after the final walk-through). With this franchise you then have three days to change your mind before the order is placed. We were having our kitchen remodeled at the same time and John worked closely with the other contractors to ensure they were working cohesively while keeping things moving. John was out at the job site frequently checking up on the progress and was always available if I had questions, etc. John's communication is top notch and much appreciated. The contractors that were at our house were also great. They were friendly, worked efficiently and always cleaned up at the end of the day. After the project was done, John came and did a walk through with us to ensure everything was done to our satisfaction. There were a couple of items that needed to be addressed and they were taken care of quickly. We are now working with them on getting an area rug for the living room and so far that experience has been great as well. I would recommend them to anyone in the future.

Everything went beautifully, from start to finish. The salesman spent hours with us explaining the process, the different kinds of flooring, cost and advantages/disadvantages of each. We never felt rushed to make any decisions. He was punctual for that meeting and future meetings. The installer worked quickly and efficiently. We were never inconvenienced. He cleaned up at the end of each day so we could still "live" in our kitchen. He left floor protection under our appliances so we could easily move them without worrying about damage to our new floor. We had everything put back together in no time and we love our kitchen floor!!
