Description of Work: Replaced ignitor. He actually found one still in the box next to the furnace left by previous owner and was honest to tell me and not charge me. So I just paid for the service call. Will definitely use him again if I need him and have recommended him to friends and family.

Description of Work: Over the weekend one of our smoke alarms started to beep, right outside of my elderly mother's bedroom. It was hard-wired, so I couldn't figure out what to do. I called several electricians and left messages. It was the weekend!! It was a small job!! Only Ed responded, and obviously, he would, being the fine person he is. He came over between jobs and disconnected the thing. A couple of days later he came back with an upgraded model and installed it. His price was very reasonable.

Description of Work: Ed responded to service request very promptly. Diagnosed problem quickly and completed work at initial visit. Very courteous and friendly. Service charge was very reasonable. Would highly recommend and use again.

Description of Work: I had Mr. Cook complete a laundry list of items we created after moving into our new home. This included: | |- Electrical boxes in all of the upstairs bedrooms for ceiling fans and/or lights |- A new closet light |- A GFCI outlet on the rear of the house |- Moving the electrical outlet for the washer |- Additional outlets and relocation of conduit in the garage. | |Ed showed up the day after I called to give us a very reasonable estimate. He quoted two weeks before he could do the work but was able to start about 10 days later. He installed all of the electrical to our specifications (which were rather detailed at times). He even offered to revise his quote after we explained we didn't have the fans yet for him to install (we had been planning to do that ourselves). | |I'd use Ed Cook again without even thinking about it.
