DRAGEN'S LAWN

They performed unauthorized service and they did not repair the original problem. It was delivered and when I tried to start it ran very rough, sputtered and backfired and stopped. The unauthorized service was: - Replaced a belt for $47 (cost of belt). When I asked why they did it, they said it needed replacing. - Replaced sparkplugs when I just put new sparkplugs in trying to fix the problem myself. - Replaced fuel line, fuel filter - Replaced air filter - Plus $103 in associated labor for all of the above None of the above fixed the original problem. When I called them, they said it ran rough for them but just let it run for 4-5 minutes and it should smooth out. It won't even say running now because it is so bad. Over the phone now they say it needs a new carburator for several hundred dollars more. Dragen should have diagnosed the problem and given me the option to fix. For the original repair bill of $300 and now facing several hundred more, I would have like to put the money in a new lawn mower (current one is 9 years old). This is not the first time I have had problems with Dragen. Previously I had the blades sharpened by them and when I started it up it made a very loud bang sound and skreaching belt noise. This lawn mower deck has three blades, two of the same size and one longer for the middle. they reinstalled wrong causing the longer blade to smack into the deck housing. I had to take the deck off of the lawn mower and take it back to have them reinstall the blades correctly.

I dropped off the mower Saturday, May 27 to have self-propelled cable replaced, tune up and blade sharpened. I was advised that it would take 2 1/2 weeks. We called exactly 2 1/2 weeks later to see if mower was complete, they advised that they had not yet obtained the cable to replace (had yet to find a source to obtain the cable) and have not done the tune up, nor the blade sharpening. We picked up the mower immediately! I would not recommend anyone using this company.
