+ 0 moreIt exceeded my expectation . The contractor also complimented her work saying she had an excellent eye for color and design. She offered creative solutions and leveraged the insurance claim so high quality solutions could be implemented in a timely fashion and within budget.
Description of Work: Andrijana was extraordinary! I had a home insurance claim which required me to make key decisions quickly on paint colors, lighting, flooring, kitchen lay out, entry way lay out and new laundry room. She met with me to get a clear understanding of my personality, style and my thoughts and dreams in regards to my home's functionality. She then worked closely with contractor from beginning to end. Her work is top notch, always timely and she was very budget savvy. She stretched a buck but always delivered quality, beautiful solutions. My family and I just love our new home improvements! Andrijani eye for color and design was priceless.

+ 0 moreMy husband and I purchased a new home and I needed help choosing paint colors. I wanted to use a grey in the living room/ kitchen area but I wasn?t sure of the exact shade. The color Andrijana suggested is not a color I would have chosen on my own but it is absolute perfect! She also recommend colors for other rooms and accent pieces that would tie the rooms together, as well as furniture and décor arrangement. If I would have tried to pick colors myself I would have spent a lot more than $100 on paint samples and corrective paint colors. Andrijana was a pleasure to work with and I would highly recommend her!

Once I signed on with her, she took charge of arranging for the furniture, purchasing necessary decorative items, meeting the furniture company when they delivered the furniture, and got the house set up for showing. When I reached out to her, she quickly responded and had the answer I needed. Andrijana was also thoughtful about privacy. She was over once when I had workmen in and needed to discuss pricing. She appropriately ensured that she would not be heard. I was very impressed by that. My house sold in two weeks, and I absolutely attribute part of that to Andrijana! In fact, I've shared with a few people that I would love to have her provide ideas for the house I'm in now. Too bad I'm so far away! (The price noted here includes furniture rental for one month.)
Description of Work: Homes Aglow staged my house when I recently moved from the Cleveland area. Andrijana staged a large living room area, two dining areas, a master bedroom, an enclosed porch, and 1 1/2 baths.

A couple years ago, she staged a home we were selling---it was so beautiful when she was finished, to the point that I regretted not making any of these changes sooner, so that we could actually enjoy them! Our house sold very quickly, in a terrible market, thanks to Andrijana's work. When we purchased a new home recently, I called her to help me redecorate. She listened to what we had in mind, she stayed within our budget, she was responsive and professional through the entire process. She chose paint, window treatments, lighting, furniture---and as we approached the end of our budget, she used what we already had in the house to rearrange and make things look fresh and new. She is the absolute best--I have worked with other interior designers, and working with Andrijana is like working with a trusted friend. I am already looking forward to working with her again on upcoming home improvement projects!

She chose the perfect tile, paint, and fixtures for the style of our home and to our taste. She also acted as liaison between us and our contractor, and her knowledge of construction (plumbing/electric, etc.) is evident. A pleasure to work with!
Description of Work: We needed to choose tile, paint, and fixtures for our two bathroom renovations. Andrijana came into our home, took pictures of the rooms, consulted about our various options, and likes and dislikes. She then came back with several tile and paint samples, sent links to various vanities and fixtures, and worked directly with our contractor to order quantity and materials to spec.

We spent two hours together and she gave me excellent ideas on how to finish some of my rooms with accent pieces. We spent time on line looking at examples and she had some ideas she forwarded to me after. Her style was very much like mine. I will certainly hire her again for future consultations or design work.

Our house looked the best it had since we moved in and it sold in less than 3 weeks! Andrijana came over for a walk through and gave us a write-up of things we could do ourselves and also a quote to have her do the staging for us. We chose to have her do the staging. Andrijana installed items that she purchased and also used some of her own items to complement the items she purchased for us. She was great to work with and we would consider using her in the future just to help us decorate. We were very impressed with what she did on the budget she did it for!

Despite a difficult real estate environment in an inner ring suburb, we had ten showings and sold our house within 3 weeks of it being on the market, with an offer $10,000 above the price even Andrijana thought we would get for the home, and about 15% more than similar homes in our area are currently selling for. Andrijana was there through the entire process, ready to answer my questions, enquiring on our progress, making recommendations, and taking a personal interest in our success. I cannot recommend her more highly.
Description of Work: Andrijana walked through my house, took photographs and sent me a staging report with detailed recommendations that contained all the needed updates, paint colors, furniture and other recommendations required for a successful home staging for $150. I trusted her and followed her advice to the "t". She also offered to help implement the final staging, and I took her up on that as well. Andrijana selected and purchased curtain and rods for all the windows in the house as well as lamps, duvet, comforter, and pillows for the master bedroom, selecting the right length and choosing neutral color quality drapes that were affordable or on sale as we were on a budget. We did much of the painting and prep work ourselves, and Andrijana was always just a phone call or a text message away, taking the time to talk with me, give me advice, answer the inevitable questions that came up as we implemented here recommendations. We had Andrijana perform the installation of all the curtains/ rods. We rented some items from her (pictures, decorative household), and she worked with much of the furniture and the paintings we already had. She staged every room in the house directly before the real estate agent saw the house for the first time and took pictures for the listing. The $2,500 spent on this part of the work was well worth the investment.

+ 0 moreTo understand this review, you need to understand that my wife and I have very little in the way of visual artistic skills. As such we tend to second guess ourselves and usually end up arguing in a circular fashion anytime we repaint a room. After our painter had primed the basement (it was a Friday) we knew we had to select and purchase the paint by monday. About 6pm or so my wife and I started our usual circular paint scheme argument. Realizing this was going nowhere, I decided to call Homes Aglow and head off this destructive (often expensive) pattern. I placed the call about 6:30pm on a Friday, and specified I was having an interior design "Emergency". Andrijana called me back about 8:30, it turns out she was visiting relatives and out of town. However, she was more than willing to work remotely, and with a few digital snapshots of the basement space and some of our other rooms, she was able to get to work. She gave us some beautiful color groups to choose from the following morning (Saturday) and we had everything taken care of by Monday. We couldn't be happier with how this experience went and on any future interior re-designs, decorations, or staging we'll be calling Homes Aglow before we begin.

Homes Aglow answered the call and came to my home in a prompt and professional manner. I relayed to her what I was willing to do - painting the walls, new flooring, new sofa and arrange other items in the room. She gave me helpful suggestions. I did use some of her experience. She did a follow up.
Description of Work: My request was to change the staging of furniture in a great room and any other accessories she might have in mind. She was prompt and professional. She had good ideas. Some of the ideas I did incorporate into staging the furniture and accessories. I would definitely recommend her to anyone.

+ -1 moreAndrijana and her 2 assistants did a wonderful job. Andrijana came to my house a couple of weeks before the install to get measurements and discuss options. The day of the install took about 3 hours. She installed the window coverings, weatherstripping, and rearranged a heavy piece of furniture along with many smaller things. The items of mine that were not used were neatly put away in another room. I love the result. The room looks put together and feels bigger because of the better arrangement.
Description of Work: Andrijana purchased and installed window treatments in my dining room and living room (4 windows). She purchased other items (wall art, pillows, throws, etc.) for the rooms. She rearranged existing furniture and accessories to create a better flow and look to the rooms. She installed weatherstripping around the front door.

She shared her knowledge of the trends in newer homes and what changes would be most advantageous for a future home sale. At the same time she gave me ideas regarding changes to the exterior painting (which I had not considered) and mentioned local suppliers for updating lighting/window treatments. She walked through the house giving recommendations for furniture placement/window treatments and updates to bathroom lighting and fixtures. After obtaining my permission, she did take photos of the rooms. I felt Andrijana kept my budget in mind and also accommodated my desire to obtain my own professionals to complete the work at my own pace. Her consultation was typed up and submitted to me with the details of the changes we discussed, including specific paint colors and some photos of decorating ideas. I was very pleased with my experience with Homes Aglow and will be continuing to work with Andrijana as the project progresses.

Description of Work: After 25 years in our home we decided to redecorate. I found Andrijana through Angie's List and have been very pleased with her consulting services. She is easy to contact, responds quickly and is prompt for our appointments. Description of Work: We hired Homes Aglow for every detail that needed a professional touch in a new house we constructed. This home was built as a spec, we had no buyer or interested party to start. We gave Andrijana our 100% trust in her ability to make the correct choices on every selection needed when building from the ground up! She started with our house plan and made some key changes to the layout. Then we submitted our plan to ARB, and started our dig process. Once the house was framed, Andrijana was a key component in selecting where all our electrical lighting fixtures rough boxes were to be placed. Andrijana then worked with our cabinet provider. She selected the style of cabinet, the colors & knobs / handles. After drywall was complete, we allowed Homes Aglow to work with her painter to paint our newly constructed house. Andrijana selected all the paint colors. Then we had all of our flooring to choose. Again, Homes Aglow chose our carpet style & color. Along with our hardwood through out the first floor. Once all the surrounding details started to come together inside, we gave Homes Aglow a lighting fixture allowance. She personally shopped & selected our lights. Not only did Andrijana stay within budget, she was drastically under our budget which we were very excited about. It was a really nice feeling to put our trust in Homes Aglow, and see everything come together. Our exterior siding colors, stone colors all the way to the plants & bushes were picked by Andrijana. We can't express how much effort Homes Aglow put into every detail at a very affordable price. I can continue listing items like our shower glass door, mirrors, trim detail and much much more...... BUT BEST OF ALL...... Once Andrijana felt the home was at a point to list and be shown, she suggested a realtor familiar with our community, and the very first couple that viewed the inside of our house made an offer, and we received asking price! This is very difficult to get in this current market! The new buyers just raved about how wonderful EVERYTHING was put together. They absolutely loved every selection made in the house. We can not thank Homes Aglow enough for all she did. But we know that every project we do, will definitely have a Homes Aglow touch Inside & Out. A true professional.

+ 1 moreThe results were very impactful. A friend of my visted and he commented on the granite countertop. I had to remind him that that had been installed in July of 2010 and that he probably did not notice it because the rest of the kitchen looked like crap. The countertop reals 'pops' (which is great considering how much I paid for it) thanks to Andrijana's color selections. I look forward to re-hiring Andrijana for my next project.

Description of Work: Andrijana donated her time, resources and expert design touches to a local elderly couple in need. This project touched the hearts of everyone in our community. Once the roofers, drywall specialists and painters were done with their part in this charitable project, she arranged for new carpet, bathroom fixtures, curtains, bedding etc. to be donated and installed. She coordinated her efforts with Twinsburg and Solon Fire Departments to give this elderly couple a safe and beautiful home to live in.

+ 0 moreShe has a really nice, warm personality. She presents her ideas in a very gentle way and encourages you to do things so you can sell your home. She is in-tune with current decorating trends so people will buy your home. She is also very creative. I didn't have to spend unnecessary money to decorate, but rather used things I already had to make my home look good. The only things I really put toward the project was for painting, a coffee table, decorator pillows and some bathroom accessories. She's also sensitive to the fact that I was putting money into a home I was about to sell, but reminding me of the big picture. My home sold within 5 weeks!
