Dan does all the work himself, plus does all the estimating, etc. The work, when it finally got done was stellar. What we both had a big problem with was that he ordered a new shower door for us, we gave him a check for the cost of the door and a week later the check was cashed. We checked and he had picked up the door. THEN, that is when we got worried. We did not hear from him for at least 6 - 8 weeks when he told us that we would hear from him in a week or two. I finally left a third message and basically threatened him that we would take further action if we did not hear from him within 24 hours. Since this was not an emergency job, a simple phone call saying he was detained for any reason would have been acceptable - and I said that on the message. We did hear from him the next day, no apologies for tardiness and said he would be there on Sunday, the 27th. He came as promised, did the work, got paid, did well, period. Never did he even mention the fact that he kept us waiting. I didn't like that at all and even though his work was GREAT, I would hesitate to use him again. And for sure, there would be no upfront money, which may make him not want to do work for us. People don't seem to realize that simple courtesy goes a long way for most consumers. I hope he does read this and maybe considers a call to us for causing unnecessary stress to us.

fabulous product - my wife could not be happier with the new bathroom and all of its amenities. Dan had some good design ideas up front and througout the process that really helped although probably frustrating to him and some of the other workers since we made some design decisions during the work phase. I purchased all electrical, plumbing, tile and cabinets separately. Payments to Dan covered only his services.
Description of Work: Dan remodeled our master bathroom with a complete gutting of all fixtures, some walls and flooring. The interior layout was changed such that he had to take up part of the subfloor in order to reroute main plumbing lines. He custom-built a new shower with porcelain wall tiles and ceramic floor tiles on the shower floor and main floor, installed new cabinetry with double sinks and corner hutch with outlets and hard-wired makeup mirrors, certain doors, 2 exhaust fans vented through the roof, installation of a roman tub with cabinet panels on the outside etc. Shower and tub both have added hand-held sprayers. I used a separate electric company because I have a whole house generator with its own circuit breakers, etc that add complexity to my system although in retrospect I think Dan could have easily handled this part. I also used a separate drywall guy that has done wotrk for me in the past and we put in all new walls and a flat ceiling. I would rehire Dan for just about any kind of remodel work and in fact used him again for some other work after our bathroom job was completed. The bathroom remodel started in September of 2010 and was wrapped up in March of 2011. I had the windows replaced and relocated as a first step. The job spanned more time than estimated due to delays in materials such as the windows, tile and cabinetry. Dan pretty much works alone but uses family members for help from time to time if needed.
