Lowe Slate and Tile

Description of Work: Secured a roofing tile that had slipped out of place.

Description of Work: We were considering buying a home built in the 20's with a slate roof. Gary came out and did a complimentary inspection before we purchased. At that time he wrote an estimate for bringing the roof and gutters up to snuff. 5 months later after we have moved and took care of other work we called him. After a brief visit to reassess and check supplier prices he honored the quote and I told him we wanted to more foreword. About two weeks later he e-mailed and said they would get started the next day. Gary and 2-4 other guys worked on our house for 4 and a half days. They replaced many broken pieces of slate, re-flashed with new custom fabricated copper, cleaned and repaired the gutters and replaced several downspouts. | |This is a owner operator business. No sales or office employees. The phone number is Gary's cell phone. Most employees working with Gary are family, sons, family. In fact Gary apparently learned from his father. They are very knowledgable of slate and tile roofs, and working with copper. They were referred to me and I would refer them to others.

Description of Work: I have a Ludowicki tile roof on my 3000 sq foot ranch, with many valleys, etc. Mr. Lowe replaced deteriorated underlayment in 7 areas, refelted and replaced over 100 tiles that had been damaged by falling branches. His fee was approximately 1/2 of what I was quoted by the closest price competitor, and included all materials. He also left me tiles for future repairs, as matching (or near matching) tiles are difficult to obtain, particularly for small jobs.

Description of Work: They provide annual maintance and check-up on my slate roof. They have also repaired the roof after it was hit by lightning. They have installed new gutters on my home. They also clean my gutters on an annual basis.
