Terrible quality of carpet. It's been down for 3 years and it looks awful! The worst part was the installation! OMG it took them 6 hours to do a very poor job. My carpet is completely puckered. I can actually lift it 3 inches off the floor. I was told I can pay them $350 to restretch the carpet because I cannot provide PROOF of a cleaning. This may have been nice if they told me about that minor detail. $350 to stretch carpet that they installed wrong in the 1st place. Guarantee they didn't pay the installers that much money to begin with. I have had my house carpeted numerous times over the past 25 years and this is BY FAR the worst carpet yet! Its embarrassing! I will not recommend to anyone nor will they receive anymore of my business. Terrible service.

Got runaround on installation time. 18 months later. Carpet looks terrible. Worn on puckered.

Everything went smoothly. The salesman made an appointment and brought samples to the house. The estimate was given quickly, he made detailed drawings and measurements so there would be no confusion. Once we made the choice to accept the estimate the install date was set a little more than a week later. They were professional, early!, cleaned up after themselves and did a great job. Even replaced carpet in the odd entry that was on the wall in the kickboard area that was not discussed. They left the larger scraps from the job for us as well.

They did not finish the installation and when called gave excuse after excuse, but never called to finish.

Price was average. Punctuality was terrible, wait was over 2 hours from time of the appointment. Person performing the service was unprofessional when approached about the time delay. Quality of work was average at best. Would not recommend for carpet cleaning and will not hire them again.

Timely prompt the salesman, George was a big help But, we are living out of town, and I had family ensure all was well. When done, the installers left pieces of carpet and 'strings' of carpet all over. I had to pay to have someone go in and clean up. When I called, the answer was, "the installers don't carry a vacuum with them". Maybe they should!

Everything went well. These were the same people I bought the carpet from.

It went very well. I was very pleased. Everything was perfect. They gave me personal care. They came out and we looked at all kinds of different things. They left me some samples. Within a matter of a week, they were laying it and it took one day to lay it. They did a really, really nice job.

Excellent service beginning with the phone call to schedule to the end of the cleaning. Another carpet cleaning company canceled on me twice and I called Jamies and asked if I could get them out, essentially, in less than 24 hours and she got me scheduled! She was very nice on the phone and very helpful. So the next day the guys called and said they could come out earlier which was even better and they came, explained everything, cleaned the carpets and were done in about an hour and a half. Great service, very professional, very reasonable, very helpful and the carpets look great. I'd recommend this company 100% of the time.

I have used them 3 times. They do excellent work and they are fairly priced.

We had a good experience with them. It looks great and it has been about 10 months. We didn’t have to call them back for anything. They were in and out quickly. My son had to persuade the installers to do the carpeting a particular faction as we had discussed earlier around the stairs.

They are very honest and upfront about what they think they are able to clean and what might not be possible. Each time I was amazed at what they were able to clean and with their quick service and even quicker drying time. Very reasonably priced for the service they performed. Each crew I worked with was professional and courteous. Would recommend them anytime.

They were very competitive on price. The quality of work was acceptable. They had a good selection of carpet. They did adequate work but I have seen better.

The experience went very well. We enjoyed working with Dan Ward. He willing procured the information we needed to make an intelligent purchase decision. We hadn't purchased in some time. We did an internet search to reacquaint ourselves with the industry. We were very surprised to learn that the industry had consolidated to the point where there were only three big manufacturers and a dwindling number of small mills. [Sidebar. We found a website named Carpet Guru most helpful in our re-education. We learned that some of the 'old names' were purchased by national chains and had little relevance to our old perceptions as to product quality.] We were less than pleased to discover that much of the carpet marketing had evolved into 'Mattress Marketing', i.e. same product in five stores with six different names. We appreciated that some of the 'big box' stores provided face weight and carpet density numbers on their carpets. Our preference is to deal with local merchants if possible. These outlets generally do not include this data on their samples and many were unwilling to procure this information. We did not know how to quantify 'feels like' or 'feels heavier'. Dan Ward was willing to procure this information. We felt this helped us make an intelligent decision as to the best value for our needs. We purchased the carpet during one of Jamie's/national manufacturer semi-annual (April and October) sales event. Jamie's installers did an excellent job. We were most pleased with the resulting appearance. We recommend that Angie's list members consider this local merchant when they purchase carpet.

They did a good job. When they had to go around furniture or move furniture they were willing to do that. When they moved the furniture they put little Styrofoam pads under the legs so they wouldn't leave a mark. I just think they did a great job over all.

Start to finish - here goes! We went to several carpet stores - not impressed. We then settled on a home improvement store. We picked our carpet out from the home improvement store. We paid the $30 to have a measurement made. This would be a complete new install - so the home improvement store 'had' to charge us for some extras!! (They also charged $25 per sample to take home - it was refunded when returned.) The total for the home improvement store - well over $1800!!!! I was expecting to pay around $1200, so I was quite shocked. That's when I checked Angie's List and found Jaime's Carpet. I called the store. Yes, they carried the same carpet - but probably not the same product number. "Bring the sample into the store and I will match it up for you." We drove to Jaime's in Avon. We matched the carpet - Jaime's price installed - about $950!!! AGAIN ---- THE PRICE WAS ALMOST HALF of what the home improvement store wanted to charge!!!!!! We then found a higher grade carpet - we upgraded for a total of $1500 - still less than the home improvement store AND for a much better carpet!! If you need carpet - go to Jaime's. REALLY!

Richard was who did great service for us. They did a great job and cleaned up well.

The sales people were very helpful and made suggestions. We were able to bring samples home which was very helpful. The installers were experienced and worked quickly. They were a pleasure to have in our home.

Sales staff (Nancy) was very informed about the choice of products and helpful about what product would be our best choice. The installers were prompt, clean and polite. The work was done quickly.

After checking carpet prices at Home Depot, we decided to have a look at Jamie's Carpet Shop. We were pleased to see that Jamie's carries Mohawk carpet and were able to get a price comparable to Home Depot but with much better carpet (100% nylon, 20 year warranty). We were thankful that they were able to install the carpet over two days so we didn't have to move all of the furniture downstairs. The installers were very prompt, polite, and professional. They were able to install the carpet in under two hours a day over two days.

I was pleased with the installation. It looks well done with no seams showing. I had been jerked around by another company, and Nancy at Jamie's saved me over $1,200. She also warned me that the Berber carpet that I originally picked out would be ruined by my cats. The other store never mentioned it. That would have cost me several thousand more dollars had I gone with the original. When the carpet that I had ordered was delayed on back order for more than a month, they upgraded me to a different carpet that they had in stock. I feel they went that step beyond to keep me satisfied. I appreciate their help.

THEY BLEW OTHER BIDS OUT OF THE WATER. WE EVEN GOT A HIGHER GRADE OF CARPET (MARTHA STEWART) THE SALESMAN CALLED THE MILL AND GOT US A SPECIAL PRICE SINCE WE PURCHASED SO MUCH CARPET. THE FOLLOWING DAY AFTER THE MEASUREMENTS WERE DONE HE CALLED WITH THE BID. THEY ALSO CALLED THE NIGHT BEFORE TO REMIND ME THEY WERE COMING FOR INSTALLATION. THE CLEAN UP WAS GREAT! THEY WERE JUST EXCELLENT. VERY NICE, THEY DID AN OUTSTANDING JOB. I ALSO DID NOT HAVE TO PAY A DEPOSIT FOR CARPET SAMPLES. WE HAVE ALREADY HIRED THEM TO INSTALL FLOOR COVERINGS FOR KITCHEN AND BATHROOM.
