Description of Work: I called this contractor twice and emailed twice and did not even receive the courtesy of a response. They were graded high on Angie's list and is why I contacted them. Angie's list has now lost credibility with us and our extended family.Why oh why were they graded so high and not even the courtesy of a professional response simply does not justify the high rating on Angie's list.

Description of Work: Replaced porch ceiling

Description of Work: Insulation to the pipes that are freezing when the temperatures are below zero. Weather stripping to the doors.

Description of Work: I negotiated pricing with them yesterday and they performed the work today because a different job was delayed. This was perfect for us. They repaired my ceiling, moved some track lights and a light switch. They installed a new ceiling fan and troubleshot and repaired our front porch light. They were very friendly, did an excellent job and performed a lot of work considering the little time they were here. I am extremely satisfied with the work and the price! I will definitely call them again and recommend them.

Description of Work: My husband stepped on the gas pedal instead of the break when driving into the garage. The car hit my kitchen wall and everything went flying. Insurance wanted an estimate before agreeing to payment. The estimate was very close to the adjusters estimate. The work was beautiful, I felt like I had a new kitchen.

Description of Work: Remodeled several areas. Had poor attention to details. Tile cut not even or cut too short. The heat register when replaced did not cover the cut tile . Can' t believe he did not fix it when the gap was apparent. Cut floor trim poorly around the bath tile.

Description of Work: Installed Holiday lighting to the roofs of our house and around the yard. Very nice worker, however, slow and methodical. I felt I had to pay too much because he was slow. However, very pleased with the finished product.

I am completely satisfied with all the work that was done. I love my new room and deck !! I am thrilled with the hardwood floors and to be rid of the nasty carpet. The crew that did my work were great! So friendly and trustworthy. I thought of them as part of the family! I would highly recommend The Handyman Company!

Description of Work: They installed flooring in the kitchen, including the repair of the flooring underneath, hung drywall on the damaged ceiling, and repaired a hole in the drywall in our hallway.

Description of Work: I am a senior, and received a senior discount. Joe came and measured the deck and gave me a price. I then called him later and approved it. Joe and his two men arrived on 8/9/11 at 8:00 A M. They stripped the deck, which took most of the day, then they power washed it. Because it had to dry well, they came back on 8/12 and sanded it, then they stained and sealed it. They were very detail oriented, very polite, and worked very hard. M.

Description of Work: Disconnected my permanent natural gas grill. installed a shut off valve to the gas line and installed a quick disconnect to the gas line. This was done because we had purchased a new natural gas grill.

Description of Work: We used Joe Roberts and The Handyman Co, LLC for multiple projects in out home. When we first started, we needed some remodeling work completed due to a flood in our home from a broken washing machine. As the work progressed to repair and refurbish the home, we made the decision to engage Joe and his team on multiple other projects in our home that we had been delaying. The HandyMan Co remodelled one large room into 2, building closets, redoing insulation, replacing walls and ceilings, new trim, redid electric, repaired bathroom areas and wiring, new plumbing - anything and everything that had to be completed, Joe and his team did all the work with great professionalism, a great attitude, very reasonable cost and in a very timely manner. As I mentioned, the more work their team completed, the more we wanted them to do. We had them build a new large closet in the finished basement level, with shelves, so we had storage room but it was not out in the open. They installed a separate doorway, outlets, finished drywall, etc. The quality and value of the inside work is outstanding!! Once we completed the inside work, we had 2 large projects for the exterior of the home. Our decks were 30 yrs old, not up to code, and basically rotting. In addition, we had a screened in porch area off the upper deck that wass space we needed to redo. We asked Joe for an estimate to redo the lower ( 30x10) deck and the upper (20x10) deck, along with plans to convert the screened in area under roof to a 4 season room we could use and enjoy all year round. Joe gave us the best estimate, was able to start work quickly, and worked all through the brutal winter months to ensure our decks and 4 season room would be finished close to the first of the calendar year. The contract and communication was handled very professionally, permits were put in place, and we passed all inspections with flying colors. In fact, the County Inspector remarked on more than 1 occasion about the quality, craftsmanship and attention to detail our decks and 4 season room had - "some of the best he has seen" - was one of the statements. Our decks could hold multiple pickup trucks weight, our 4 season room is used almost daily with the great window views and access to the main house and upper deck, and we could not be more satisfied with the quality and the appearance. In the 4 season room, Joe insulated the floors, trimmed underneath the upper deck to match the new siding, installed carpet, windows, track lights, insulated the ceiling - and trimmed the entire inside of the room in cedar - not only does it look great, it smells great! Joe's team also completely redid the railing around our basketball court in the backyard, strengthened the structure and decking around the cement court, and , without being asked, removed a significant amount of trash, old garage doors, and other large trash items we had been storing in the back until I could find a way to take to the dump or landfill. This was a huge help! Joe's team did a lot of the little things, the items not specifically asked for, that really showed the personal touch, and the excellent relationship they have with their customer.
