Beware of this business as they are unprofessional in NOT standing behind their word. They caused damage to my property and said they would cover the cost to fix it but now refused to do so.

It went pretty well. They forgot to put a sign up, but they did a good job. We decided to hire them for regular maintenance after that.

When I first contacted them, I was trying to get them to tell me what treatments they'd recommend (since I didn't know). My impression was that they didn't know much more than I did...though that was only my subjective impression. I was never around to see them working, but each time they left a detailed list showing what they'd done. At least once, I wondered to myself why they had treated the lawn on a drizzly day. The bottom line is that my lawn looks pretty awful; worse than at the beginning of the season. There are several large brown spots. I have 2 varieties of grass in my lawn; one hardier than the other. I have to wonder if they killed the weaker variety along with the weeds? It's clear I need more substantial work done.

Things went great. I'm working with Dave in stages and soon I will have the backyard of my dreams. In the meantime, it just keeps getting better. My lawn is one of the best looking lawns in the area - green, lush and no dandelions! Dave and his crew are very professional and are hard-working. They listen to my requests and complete them. Responded the next day and started treatment within a week. The lawn looks better within a month

It went very well. They showed up as promised and aerated and overseeded my entire yard. This is the first time I have done business with American and they were excellent. They promptly performed the work after I purchased the service through Angie's List. Communications with Chris were excellent! I'll likely use them again and certainly recommend them to others.

It went very well. Over the years I have only had 2 issues. The owner called that day and came out himself to resolve the issue.

American Landscapes was incredibly easy to work with. After setting up my appointment, they came out, did the work and followed up to make sure we were satisfied. I will definitely be using them again.

It went very well. Snow removal services 4 times in three weeks. Cleared driveway and sidewalks in a timely manner after the end of each snowfall.

They were good. They showed up on time and did what they were supposed to.

I have been using the company for 2 years. They come out about 4 times a year. They were able to get rid of the weeds right away. I have not had much interaction with the technicians who come out and I am not usually home when they are here. They are always punctual and come out regularly for the service.

They are great! The owner has great communication skills. The technicians are very nice and thorough. They clean up well after themslves. I really trust them.

On 9/6/14 I purchased the lawn aeration and overseed. Dave messaged me to let me know that he would contact me to schedule service. About 10 days later he called when I was out of town and said he would be over that day. I arrived home that evening and nothing was done to the lawn. I called Dave and he said he was out of town and had no idea but would have them do it the next day. No one showed up. I contacted Dave again the following week and he said the grass was tall and it would be hard to see the plugs (these plugs are 1/2" in diameter and 1" to 3" long) very noticeable. Once again I had to call Dave and ask if they are going to perform the work or if I should request a refund. His reply this time: We already did the work but I will be glad to do it again, my guys may have done the wrong lawn. This is very unlikely that you could aerate and overseeded the wrong lawn and no one noticed them. Someone finally came out on 9/24/14 but they still only did half of the work. They aerated most of my lawn but only overseeded approx. a 2ft. x 6ft. area. I feel that Dave tried to con me into thinking he did the work and thought I would just let it slide. Dave offers many excuses with poor service.

We started using American Landscapes last year (2013). The first job they did for us was fall cleanup which involved a lot of leaves and other debris in our back yard. Since part of the yard is fenced, is was a little hard to get the leaves out but they did a great job. They also aerated the front and back yard. Cost was $275. They arrived when they said they would and did a great job cleaning up the wooded part of our back yard. They also took the leaves away which was a must for us. This Spring we decided to have them do the Spring cleanup and mulch the beds. Due to the wet Spring, Dave called and had to reschedule our cleanup by one week; I appreciated the call instead of just not showing up which some people in this business do. The clean up was good and everything looked great when they were finished. Cost was $670, including the mulch. We then decided to have them mow the yard once a month and handle the lawn service for weed control and fertilization. ($45 for mowing & trimming) Both have been done as promised and an excellent job on both of these jobs. I like to use local companies when I can and this is one landscaping company I would recommend to anyone looking for reliable and good landscapers. They haven't let us down yet!

We are pleased with them and they are doing a great job. They leave everything looking very neat and tidy.

This was a great experience from the beinning. Dave came out the day after we called and gave us an estimate of 5 man hours ($40 per hour) to get the leaves cleaned up and taken away. He said they would probably be able to do it the following week. As promised. two guys showed up the following Monday. We had many leaves because we have many trees. Further, we did not clear up all the leaves from the previous year so that also made the clean up more time consuming. We were looking for someone to also take away the leaves which they did. These guys worked a solid 5 hours with no breaks. A third guy showed up later and he helped them finish up. All in all a great job. I look for a business who does what they say they will and do it well. This company did that. I did not shop around for rates, but I thought these rates were reasonable for the amount of work done. We are considering having them do our lawn care and mowing next Spring.

Sent an email through their website about getting a quote, never got a response. Called and left a voicemail, got called back a few days later. He said he would come the next day and give me a quote - Never heard from him again. Rather disappointed because of all the good reviews on AL, but I am not going to work with someone If I have to spend more time chasing them down than it would take me to do the job myself.

I had a terrible yard guy. They wouldn't respond to me and did a bad job with my yard. My grass would grow long and then they would cut it without bagging it and I would have dead grass everywhere. So I dropped them. I heard of American Landscapes on Angies list and gave them a call over a year ago. They have been doing my yard and mulch ever since. My yard looks great and I get compliments all the time.

Dave responded to my phone call within 24 hours and in a few days had his crew out to do the work. We were so pleased with the quality that we plan to do additional business with this company in the near future.
