Everything went great. They did more SQ. FT then they said they would do. I was very impressed.

Max came to look at some concrete steps and a walk that needed to be replaced. I corresponded with him via email and he sent me a quote but as soon as I asked for proof of insurance, I never heard from him again. Maybe he doesn't have insurance, I don't know. Better to check first thing, before any talk of an estimate or quote.

The job went well. I just want reviewers to know, if you need stamp concrete maintenance, such as resealing or stripping of old sealer, you are on your own. Max is too busy with bigger more money making projects than to come back and perform maintenance on previous jobs.

There has been no contact regarding our quote. The estimate was done on May 3. The last response we recieved from Midwest Masonry was on May 9 just saying they get the quote to us soon. It is now May 26 and still no quote or an updated response.

I was anxious to get an estimate so I could get the work done before my daughter's graduation party. Mike came out immediately to accommodate my schedule. He was able to complete the project much quicker than I thought. He was in constant contact with my husband and me. He made sure we were happy with the work. He also was very conscientious keeping my yard clean. I couldn't have asked for a better job. Even the company installing our patio said what a great job Midwest Masonry did on the driveway. I am so glad we went with them.

Max came out the day I called him to look at the work and give us an estimate. He emailed me an estimate within a couple of days. His estimate was less that the others and he added exposed aggregate to the steps and the walkway. We love the look. Our job was a small one so he fit us in very quickly betwen his bigger jobs. He was hard to reach using email but he was very responsive when we texted him. He made our steps and walkway wider and gave it a nice curve towards the driveway. All in all it was a good expierence. He finished the job in two days. We got lucky with the weather. We would use him again and recommended him to our neighbors.

I contacted the provider and set up a time for them to come out. They never called or showed up on the agreed upon date. I guess they don't want my business. My time is valuable too so I didn't appreciate their lack of professionalism.

Mr. McClellan was great. Arrived on time and went right to work. Job was completed in two days. He explained everything and made the sidewalk and step larger.

The cost was very reasonable. He was a very nice guy to work with, very accommodating!

Mike did a great job and was a pleasure to work with. He and his crew worked well together and did a wonderful job in a very reasonable period of time. They were careful to clean up the work areas and over-seed the lawn where necessary after the work was done.

He was not sure of the problem and I didn't want to pay for a not sure. I need to be sure of the problem. When I find out I will use this company.

They gave me the lowest quote by far for the work. Everything was done exactly as it should

This was a challenging project. First, Max cut through the slab in what used to be an attached garage and trenched out for new plumbing... to convert this space to a master bath. He then poured concrete to fill and leveled the slope of the former garage. Outside, he cut out concrete at the edge of the front of the house to confirm there was a ledge to support a new brick fascade wall, filled this, then laid the brick wall. Difficult, messy work, but Max and his crew handled it with ease.

As stated above, we heard nothing back from this company after they meet to look at what work we wanted done. I would have at least expected some response even if it was that they felt the job was too small or they did not have time.

In the morning: Old sidewalk torn up Old concrete steps torn up Dug drain pipe trench Laid down the wooden forms in preparation for the new concrete pour In the afternoon: Dug excess dirt inside the wooden forms Prepped the areas of the driveway that needed new concrete Late afternoon: Concrete pour in all areas Next day: Removed all wooden forms Removed any excessive debris Did other "finishing" touches on the project New walkway and steps were done very well!! Will recommend Midwest Masonry to family and friends.

Max was very prompt in returning my call. Fortunately he was working on another job right down the street, and he was able to work us in quickly by going back and forth between those jobs as tasks allowed. He had some great ideas in helping me lay out how the new driveway and approach should go, as we were extending the location of the preexisting asphalt driveway due to the construction of an addition and new garage.. They tore out the old driveway and sidewalks, got everything framed and ready to pour very quickly. Max was also familiar with the local codes in Upper Arlington, so the permitting and inspections went very smoothly and quickly as well. As far as price, they beat the closest by around $1000, and were even less expensive than the quotes I received for new blacktop. The whole crew was very friendly and professional, and the finish work was beautiful, especially the stamped concrete walk between my back porch and garage. I would not hesitate to use Max again or to recommend him to anyone else.

Despite weather complications, which were out of his control, the project went great. Max explained what he was doing every step of the way. He was very professional and answered any questions we had about the project. He made sure everything was up to code and done correctly. I would recommend him for any job and would certainly use his services again.

The workers arrived on time and began working. They took care of everything in one and were very professional.

Max and I sometimes had difficulty contacting each other by telephone, but when we finally set a date for the work, he and his helper arrived early in the morning and finished the job by 6 PM. They took out the old step with a jackhammer, cleared away the old concrete, set up a wooden mold, poured the concrete and stayed until it had set. They cleaned everything up and left the premises nice and neat.

Wow, where do we start? Max is awesome to work with, probably the best experience we've ever had with a contractor. From planning to finish this guy knows his stuff. He worked with us and was flexible all along the way. We brought him our original design ideas and he had terrific suggestions including a design of our steps that wrap around our bay window and they look amazing. Once we saw the patio laid out before pour, we had some changes we wanted that he happily accommodated including the addition of the fire pit and accompanying patio surrounding it. He had great and practical design ideas to help us along the way and we are WAY happy with the finished product...it is awesome! We felt we got a terrific value as we had several estimates before going with Max. He went above and beyond in so many ways like adding conduits under the patio for future electric, adding wire mesh to assure stability/quality of patio and allowing us to hand select the stone we wanted for the fire pit. He was so patient and accommodating through the whole project. He maintained excellent communication and always left the work site neat and clean. One of our biggest concerns was the yard as we were very concerned about the transportation of equipment and materials over the lawn. We are about 10 days out from the finish of our patio and you can't even tell which part of the yard they went through. Additionally, he painstakingly cut and rolled all of our sod and then laid it around the patio when finished so that it barely looks like we've had any work done. I compare this to several other houses in our neighborhood having patios installed and I realize how important it is to consider this when hiring your contractor. Many other contractors run heavy equipment through your yard, killing the grass and leaving permanent ruts in the yard. Max and his team did everything by wheelbarrow and concrete buggy to avoid damaging our lawn in any way and left the finished site looking fantastic all the way around. Max really loves his craft and you can tell that the most important thing to him is seeing that you are happy with his job well done. He takes pride in his work and aims for your complete satisfaction....a rarity in contractors these days. I would definitely, definitely hire him again.

Max (the owner) and Mike, who estimated the work and then led the work effort, were great. Max sent Mike to our home to discuss the project and estimate the price. We really were not sure what we wanted for a new porch and sidewalk, but knew we wanted it decorative and not just plain concrete. Mike gave us some ideas and we settled on a plan. Mike did an excellent job and the project turned out just as he had envisioned it would. We have a lovely new walkway and porch. Mike was always on time, did exactly what he said he would do and we are extremely pleased with the end result. We will almost certainly use Midwest Masonry again. Thanks for both Max and Mike.

Great work, very responsive, had a tight timeline and they fit in my work.
