We had the work done in order to help sell our house. It sold in one day and the buyers loved how clean and neat the flower beds looked! I had to give a "B" for responsiveness because they weren't prompt in returning emails. However, I know they had a daughter getting married the week they were working on our house:-)

We have been using Lodder Landscaping for over 8 years both at our residence and our office from a total 're-do' of our housefront landscaping, installation of patio paving bricks, and annual bed edging and mulch. When I have a question, Lodder Landscaping has an answer! Recently I asked a question about "Flox" (spelling?) and how they felt about it. John explained that there are 'good' years and 'bad' years with 'flox' (2013 was a good year). When it is done flowering, however, it can look like overgrown grass and one really needs to "weed" it every year. Also he explained that it wouldn't survive under my Maple tree (Maple trees 'devour' everything). Instead we will be adding a "Fall-flowering" plant by my mailbox so I have some COLOR in the Fall (as well as that which I have now with perennials planted back in 2008). Also when I see something on QVC or HSN I wonder about---all I have to do is call Lodder Landscaping they tell me the "real story" about the product (growth, maintenance, etc.) Trust Lodder Landscaping---they are AWESOME!!!

This is at least the third year we've used Lodder for this edging and mulching. He has always been responsive and does a very good job. He knows his business, and we plan to use him for some upcoming landscaping work.

I have been using Lodder Landscaping for over 15 years. There are several reasons I have continued to use Lodder. He is the hardest working landscaper in the business. He is honest, personable, and dependable.

We've worked with various contractors in the past and no one has ever completed a job as thoroughly and quickly as John. He's a very hard worker and does an exceptional job. He has continued to help us maintain our yard. He's a great resource for understanding what's necessary and what isn't to maintaining a beautiful lawn.

John Lodder contacted me promptly after I emailed him seeking information. I have a large yard with lots of beds that were already there when I bought my house 16 years ago. I've tried to keep up with them over the years but it had become too much for me. I told John that my goal was to make the yard as maintenance free as possible so that I don't have to give up my house and move to a condo. He took much time walking around the house with me and making recommendations. Once we agreed to what would be best for me, he said he would go home and work up an estimate and email it to me. He told me honestly that he wouldn't be available to start the job until the end of June, which I appreciated. We discussed that my main concern was regrading around the foundation because water was leaking into my basement when it rained. So I was concerned about waiting until the end of June. He told me that he believed it was supposed to be a dry summer so we'd probably be ok (BOY WAS HE RIGHT!!!) I quickly received my estimate for the job and gave him the go ahead to get started. I confess that I hadn't gotten any other estimates, which is VERY unusual for me. I was just so comfortable with John and believed him to be honest so I selected him. Also because of his rating on Angie's list and the fact that I had nothing to lose because he did not require any payment until the job was satisfactorily completed. I believe it was Mon July 2nd when I got a call from John at work saying that he was at my home and starting the job. That man is the hardest working man I've ever seen! And he was doing it during record breaking hot temperatures. He came every day until the job was done. He even came for a while on July 4th to clean up some of the mess he had left in the front of the house when pulling out bushes the night before. Very thoughtful in case I had guests coming for the holiday. And after he left I found a decorative rock at the corner of my deck that he didn't even charge me for. It's a very nice touch. John is going to come back in the fall to finish the regrading around my garage, put in some grass seed where he pulled out the burning bushes, and plant a hydrangea and a tree. It is just too hot and dry to do that right now. And those charges will be billed separately. Because the job was large, without my even having to ask John offered that I could pay him in 3 payments rather than one. I REALLY appreciated that. In summary, I give John an A+ and highly recommend Lodder Landscaping. :)

Lodder has been our homeowner's association landscaping contractor for several years. They are price competitive, and they provide high quality work. I've been very happy, which is why we continue to extend the contract. We've referred them to others, both commercial and private. I have contracted them for work in my property as well.Good group. I didn?t like his attitude. I wouldn?t recommend him to anybody. I thought that his price was a little high.

He tore out some existing bushes and designed some landscaping and did all the planting. As I recall, he was very nice and helpful when I told him what kind of plant I was looking for, which needed low maintenance and low growing. I thought I wanted maybe a rose bush or so and he talked me out of it based on the fact that they need pretty high maintenance. He was very knowledgeable and helpful.

High quality work...very professional. They went out of their way to make certain we were satisfied with the job.

I have used Lodder Landscaping for many years now for both, my residential and commercial properties. John is very knowledgeable, friendly, and efficient. John helped me determine that these bushes died because they were getting TOO much water. Our office building is part of a Condo. After no action from the Condo Board I did my own research. Come to find out there is a definite irrigation/drainage issue (hearby office buildings are 'draining' onto our property) and, most importantly, a sprinkler head had been replaced at some point and was watering the bushes when it should not have been. When John dug up the dead bushes you could wring the soil out like a sponge. The Condo association should address issues but they really don't so John filled the holes up with stone and re-planted new bushes. John REALLY KNOWS his business and I am glad I can always count on him for my residence and office as well.

He is very good. He works very fast and does a meticulous job.
