SUPERIOR DRYWALL & TEXTURING

Vic called me back right away which was not the case with most contractors that I contacted. He was professional and got the work done in 1 day where as other contractors wanted to do the work over 3 days. The price was very competitive and I'm happy with the work that was done.

Have used this contractor in the past. He has always done excellent work. This time was the same. He is punctual and professional. He repaired ceiling damage from water. His craftsmanship is impeccable! Can't see where ceiling was patched. He cleaned up all drywall dust etc. I will use him again for any other work needed.

Victor was very professional and timely in showing up for estimates and starting and completing everything exactly when he said they would, which is unheard of for most contractors. He did a great job explaining what he would do and how he would complete the work. I also know that it is difficult to pick up where some one else left off, so I am thankful he was willing to take the job on. We had three other estimates ranging from $1,100 to $1,500 dollars so Victor was the highest, and after hearing his thorough explanations I expected an excellent job. The work was completed in three days as he said, and the quality was good but not excellent. The knock-down texture was somewhat smeared which doesn't match the other rest of the textures in the house, and to a trained eye the ceiling seams are still slightly visible, but I doubt anyone besides me would notice. There were also little things like screws being missed that are not quite covered by our trim, and globs of plaster at the bottoms of the walls that need to be flattened/removed before installing trim. But we are very satisfied with the skim coat they did in one bedroom to cover the cracks and imperfections in the old plaster walls. Over all it was a good job, but not quite what I had hoped for since we selected the highest priced estimate. I don't think I would have them back to texture any more ceilings, but I would consider using them again for other drywall finishing tasks because of their timely responses and prompt service.

After I called Vic, he arrived at my home, toured the house to assess the damage and set the expectation of when we would hear back with a full estimate. He finished the estimate, and over the phone gave detailed pricing. I told him that I would do the painting myself (only a couple hundred, still very competitive) but I had to buy the same paint already anyway to fix other areas in the house. Vic called to confirm that he was coming out, and brought his talented crew (2 others) with him. They worked all day, and when they discovered that the horsehair plaster in some areas needed to be replaced they had the experience to know how to do it right, and were able to finish the job. The result is that it looks wonderful. Vic also fixed 3 other problem spots that I hadn't previously had quoted (small spots) and textured so that the house's beautiful plaster has now been restored to perfection. Vic and his crew were good workers, courteous, pleasant, cleaned up the mess (and there was a large one) very well when they were done.. I'm highly impressed. He is, in my opinion, the best contractor I've hired from Angie's list. He even, at the end of the job gave me a few reccomendations on using the right primer before I would paint the work this weekend. What a great pro.

Gave him a second chance, had worked with him before and was dissapointed he never showed up to do the work. A strong recommendation from a friend I trust had him here to repair my ceiling. He showed up, gave me a quote, scheduled the work, came when scheduled, did the work, cleaned up and left. The work was amazing, I'm glad I gave him another chance!

Excellent work. Victor is a perfectionist and artist. He is very professional and always showed concern that I was happy with his work. He saved the day by turning a really ugly ceiling that had been done by a previous contractor into a beautifully finished product. He is also a very neat and efficient worker. We have more work to be done and feel fortunate to have found Victor as we know we will not be disappointed.

Victor and his crew arrived on time to my home, they covered everything with drop cloths and tore out the front foyer ceiling and replaced the ceiling with dry wall. They cleaned the entire area when they were finished. He came back a week later and replaced the ceiling in the small bathroom at my request. Both jobs were excellent and professionally handled. I have used this company in the past to repair a plaster ceiling in a bed room that had ice and water damage. They did an excellent job on that repair as well. Victor is a true artist and craftsman in his profession.

It took repeated calls to get a written estimate and when it arrived it was $200 higher than the verbal estimate. Further, the contract contained every possible protection for the contractor and none whatsoever for the customer. (A good contract at minimum should stipulate that all work is to be done in a workman like manner and in a timely fashion. Every good contract should specify a completion date.) To top it all off, he wanted half of the money before any work was done or any materials were delivered. Mr. Milan reacted in a rude manner when objection was made to the above.

Despite some initial difficulty in getting a firm quote ... several visits were made, but until the demo in the kitchen was completed I could only get a ballpark number. The work started on time. Punctuality was never an issue, but once the work was done I had some issues with the skim coat ... it wasn't even remotely uniform. I was assured, however that after sanding everything would be OK. After the sanding was completed I had the dust wiped down before applying primer and beginning to paint. It immediately became obvious that there were numerous scratches and even a few gouges in the "smooth" walls I had asked for. After a call the owner came over on a Sunday to look and acknowledged the defects explaining that when sanding with a sanding pad on a pole it was possible to cause the kind of scratches he saw and that he would have everything fixed. He and a worker showed up a few days later to fix the problem while I left for an appointment. He called me on my cell and told me that all of the defects were caused by my wipe down with a damp rag since the material used for the skim coat was soluble in water. He told me that I should have primed the dusty walls and then sanded. When I tried to say (all this took place while I was driving to my appointment) that you couldn't put primer on walls without removing the dust ... he told me that he was the expert and that he was the expert and knew what needed to be done. The point here is that the "expert" was giving me a different reason for the problems than he advanced for the first time. He did redo the skim coat and I did again, this time personally and with the painter I had to hire because of the extra time needed to get paint ready walls, wipe the walls with a damp rag to prepare them for primer. No scratches or gouges appeared. However we did find two areas where the paint bubbled. Initially there was a single area in the hall where the primer wouldn't cover, but the re-skimming seemed to fix this ... the two new areas were in the kitchen which was totally new drywall. I guess I should have known better as the company name is Drywall & Texturing.

He was quick to come out and give me a quote he just never followed through or followed up with what he was going to do. I still need the drywall work done.

Came out and did work in 4 hours.

The company was very, very, very good, I would give them all A’s, and would definitely qualify for the page of happiness! Mr. Milan is the only company I found who would follow through with the work I needed in a timely manner.

The contractor showed up and performed the work as promised. The quality of the work was outstanding, and I thought the price was fair. He also left the work area clean and tidy.

We were very pleased with the overall experience and the work. When I called Victor for the estimates, he came out right away. He explained to us what he would do very clearly. We found him to be professional, friendly, polite, conscientious, and honest. His estimates for our basement and for the work in our master bedroom and bath were reasonable. Victor scheduled our work right away. He came with three other men. All were very courteous and friendly. They arrived on time and and set right to work. I appreciated the care they took in covering up the areas in the work area and the stairway up to the area. Victor explained to me what they were doing as the work progressed. They then diligently cleaned up the area. Victor then called a week or so later to make sure that we were still satisfied with the work. Victor and his team did a great job and we will definitely call them again if we have any more drywall repairs. I would definitely recommend Victor and his team to others.

Very courteous and the price was reasonable. They showed up on time and everything worked like clockwork.
