Description of Work: I had a Cape Cod room in my old home that needed painted. I asked Steve to not only pain the room but to fill in some of the support studs that were angling up with joint compound, sand them down, then paint the room. Total cost for the job was somewhere around a grand or more. I went out of town on business and left the keys with Steve. Upon returning it looked like they never filled in support studs as asked and basically just painted the room. He also jacked up my bill because the room evidently needed a second coat which was never stated on the initial quote. He could have called asking for permission for the 2nd coat and gave me an idea of the new price but never did. I think I threw in a couple extra hundred bucks to get it over with but as dissatisfied with the overall experience.

 + -1 moreJobs went well, difficult curved walls for papering required a minor redo and some doors had to be planed for clearance. he knows paint and painters. in addition to supervision, he'll jump in to demonstrate technique.
Description of Work: Steve painted a portion of our home interior and matched the custom hand glaze of the cabinets to perfection. The job included wallpapering, plastering, wall and trim painting($3700). He also spray painted our garage ($1750). He has good people working for him but what sets him apart from others is his close job supervision that serves as comforting quality control. He met both job estimates on price without additions. He uses a three coat application(primer, primer+finish & finish) and flows the paint on for a brushless appearance, but it can be such a thickness that doors should be planed before painting to allow clearance.

Description of Work: They did an interior painting job for me. They gave me an estimate on painting the exterior of the house.

 + -1 moreI had to wait for the work because of weather but during that time he would keep in touch with me. He also hand painted the house to my request instead of spraying it. He used very high quality paint and primer.
