Excellent service from start to finish.

They came in and were very professional. Got right to work and were in and out within a half an hour. Would definitely use them again.

I called Selby to install a gasket in my refrigerator door. The new gasket didn't even closely resemble the old one, so we were clueless as to doing it ourselves. Selby very efficiently installed the new one and then noted that there was still a gap between the door and the main frame of the fridge. Turns out, the refrigerator was just off balance - and we didn't really need the new gasket! He balanced the refrigerator, which necessitated him having to take the doors off and adding some shims to get it right. Next time, I will call Selby right away when I am having problems with an appliance. His pricining is very reasonable and he does a great job.

Exceptionally professional job. They had to open up the dryer including removing the drum unit to troubleshoot and then find the faulty igniter. They showed me the defective part and provided considerable safety advice, which I was lacking. The part had to be ordered and only took a couple of days. Even got a $10 discount being an Angie's list subscriber. Great service at a great price in my opinion. No trip charges, they made two trips, the first when they found the problem, the second when the ordered part came in and they installed in. A lot of appliance companies pad their fees with trip charges, Selby does not charge trip charges. Total cost to replace igniter, which involved tearing the dryer apart to get at the problem, replacing the part and reassembly was only $106.70 after the Angie's list $10 off. Igniter cost $44.50 and the labor was $65 plus taxes. I am quite pleased and will call them again for any future appliance repair needs.

I was afraid that I would have to get a new dishwasher. Selby explained some easy things that I could do instead. He also told me the names, addresses and phone numbers of the stores that had the products I would need. He didn't make repairs that I didn't need and he didn't overcharge me. I was very happy with the service. He came at the time promised.

They arrived and immediately went to work checking out our fridge and stove, which had both stopped working in the same week. Within an hour both were fixed. The cost was very reasonable, and got a 10% discount for mentioning Angie's List! Highly recommend Selby Appliance Repair. Would definately use again and would tell friends about them.

Very well. Called Selby on Monday and he was at our house the next day. He said he would be at the house between 1 and 2. He called at 2:15 to say he was on his way (that's why the "B" for puncuality). He quickly found the problem and replaced the part. He even fixed the handle on the lint-trap at no cost! Nice guy, excellent work, reasonable cost.

Mr. Selby was familiar with the brand, model, and the particular problems. Because of the age of the machine, the fact that the motor bearings were going bad, and the way Maytag sells the parts (must replace the entire tub and motor assembly for $700! plus labor), Mr. Selby advised me to put that money toward a new machine. What a wonderful honest man! I'll call him when the next thing goes flooey!

Mr. Selby came when he said he would, diagnosed the problem and then returned later when he received the part. He was very professional and did an excellent job.

Shelby came out to fix my washer this past Friday, he was fast and efficient. Very nice person. He also showed me the bad parts on the washer and the new parts he put in. I would recommend him without any hesitation at all. I was quoted a higher price by everyone else, he charged only ninety dollars and then gave me a discount for using Angie?s list. Plus he works on furnaces, refrigerators etc., so I?ll be sure to call him again.

He diagnosed the problem as a start button that had jammed in the on position. He could have replaced a lot of parts in the dryer, costing me a lot of money. He was honest, came back the next day and installed a new on and off switch. The problem was resolved and back to order. He did what he said he was going to do and I am very happy with his service.

He was very professional, was very open and showed me what was needed to be done. I thought that the price was very fair. He was very good at explaining what he was doing and why he was doing it. I would rate him highly.

Overall, i am extremely pleased with Selby and his company. My dryer was squealing and starting to drive me insane so I looked for a company to do the work. I actually found Selby through Angie's list and called him on Tuesday. I have a flexible work schedule and he was able to come out the very next day. He diagnosed the problem that was causing the squealing and also showed me that the rear seal needed replaced. He would have been able to complete the work right away except he did not have a rear seal with him. He was able to place the order and return the next day to complete the work. He had quoted me $65 for labor, $29 for the roller, & $19 for the rear seal. He actually charged me less for the roller than originally quoted and came in about $10 cheaper than what he quoted me. He had an assistant with him.It was very easy to tell that Selby was extremely experienced and thorough. They were very neat and did an excellent job. Also, I live in the North end of Canton and he came to my house for no additional charge that I am aware of. He said it would cost $50 to look at the problem and then he would give me a quote to do the work. As long as I got the work done, the $50 went towards the labor charges. I will definitely have him out if any of my other appliances give me problems and will have him out to do my regular furnace and A/C maintenance. The only reason I rated him a "B" on punctuality is that on the return trip he called me and told me that he would be about 25 minutes. I left work to get home and be there and it actually took him a little over an hour from the time he called. Overall, I give him an outstanding recommendation and would have no hesitation referring him to a friend or family member. A+

Mr. Selby and a helper arrived on time. He was very nice and polite; the helper never said a word, but helped with moving the heavy stuff. After examining the back and the insides of the frig and freezer compartments, Mr S made some calls about parts. As it turned out the frig is so old, it still uses freon, which can't be legally repaired and the company no longer makes parts for replacement. Same with the door seals. He recommended getting another frig in the relatively near future. They were here about an hour.

It was really nice. They were really pleasant people. It was reasonably priced. They are very polite. I don t feel like I was overcharged. Turns out I went to high school with him. They came out on time. Selby himself actually came out.

Verified with LG that motor needs to replaced. Ordered the Motor from LG and came over to install it.

He responded very quickly to my phone call and was out within 2 days (my work erratic schedule made it more difficult for us to get together). He spent time talking and explaining the workings of the machine and future troubleshooting techniques. We had 2 subsequent phone conversations regarding possible solutions to other problems with the unit. He is very knowledgeable as he has been doing repair work for 30 years. Extremely polite, prompt.

Got an appointment within a week of initial call. Mr. Selby asked a few questions about the problem, the make and year of the dryer, etc. Scheduled the appointment for a Saturday (given a 2 hour window). Mr. Selby called when he was on his way to confirm directions. Arrived on time. Was a bit taken aback by the fact that he had not only an assistant with him, but a child as well. No explanation for the reason for the 'group' service call. (I assumed it was a Saturday child care issue). Not really a big deal - everyone was very polite and well behaved. Service call went quickly.

Replaced dryer mounting block and power supply cord. Very good work, no issues.
