Very well He had the drain unblocked in half hour.

Terrific service from the company and from Matt (923) in particular. HE could have found ways to charge us much more than he did, but solved our problem easily and inexpensively. Matt was friendly and a problem solver. I would absolutely recommend Matt and this company.

Everything was done expertly, quickly and with wit and professionalism.

Let me preface this by saying I understand in the construction business there are unforeseen circumstances that are unavoidable. With that being said, lack of staffing and/or lack of planning is where I am disappointed with this service. I also do not write bad reviews unless it is warranted. I took a half day off work today because I had to give a two hour window for them to show up (which was fine by me). The time frame was 9-11am. I called them at 9:30 to receive an ETA and was told around 45 minutes. I then get a call at 10:11am that the gentlemen that was scheduled to come out was called on another job. I asked who was coming out and was told that they don't have anyone else to come to my location and we don't have a time frame of when they will come. I have now lost a half day of PTO because of their lack of planning. I have used Roto-Rooter in the past and never had these issues. Although they were very polite on professional on the phone, they should have never scheduled this appointment. This has been a waste of a morning and a disappointing start to my bathroom remodel.

Wonderful. We were surprised that a technician came out the day I called. The person I spoke with on the phone and the technician, Elmer, were professional. Our sink and drains were fixed to perfection.

It went perfect. They did what they said they were going to do. They left it clean and they came out the next day and hyper jetted it. It cost a little more for that. I would use them again.

The fellow that came out was very knowledgeable. He was enthusiastic with hat he was doing. He was excited to show my husband what he found. He treated it and had it in control.

Derek & AJ were great! Professional, funny & QUICK! I think they were in & out in about 1/2 hour.

The good thing is that they can come out pretty much when you want them, but as a result, you end up paying more. For us it happened on Christmas, and it wasn't considered as an emergency, so they came out the next business day, and so they charged me extra because it was during the holidays.

new faucet in a powder room, that was too difficult to do on my own due to space. They were on time, and very professional.

The only issue we had was a clogged toilet. After the repair was done the plumber informed us that our flapper needed changed. He installed a new flapper. After he left our toilet ran constantly. We called them back over and a different plumber came. I questioned if the flapper was installed correctly and he informed that it was and we would need a toitlet re-build (200.00) at a minimum to fix the issue but he would recommend a new toilet becasue our toilet is 15 years old. I told him to leave without making these repairs. I called to complain because we did not have an issue with a running toilet before the clog was repaired. I asked for a manager to call me back but the manager never called me back. I could only get the original plumber to call me back. I called a different plumber in and he fixed the issue. The new company told me that the flapper was installed incorrectly. He did not believe us at first that another plumber installed the flapper. He thought we tried to install it ourselves. Our toilet is now repaire. Now I am questioning the integrity of Roto Rooter. Did they send totally inexperienced plumbers out that do not know how to install flappers or were they tryign to make more money off of us. The manager never called me back to remedy the situationso I will never know.

Response time was within 30 min which was much appreciated, as the water that had accumulated from spitting out of the valve was rapidly flowing toward the finished/carpeted area of the basement. When the repairman arrived, we told them (as instructed by Angie's List) that we had gotten their name through Angie's List and were told we were entitled to a $40 discount. The repairman stated this did not apply to this specific location (Cleveland area only) and only $20 was applicable in Stow. Since there was no choice but to have him repair the problem as water continued to flow, the go ahead was given to do the work. Josh (tech #47 listed on the work order/invoice) turned the water off and had to leave to go get the part (he was gone long enough for me to assume he also stopped for lunch) and then returned to finish the job. When he provided the bill, he applied a "Senior Discount" of 10% which coincidentally deducted $40(+) - the discount I'd expected for using Angie's List, and payment was requested. Check 1157 issued for $427.50 I appreciate the work/repair done as well as the "Senior Discount", but I believe that the $40 discount for the Angie's List referral still should have been deducted from my bill, and the not-very-friendly attitude doesn't make me want to call this company again.

Our sewer line backed up into our basement on a Saturday afternoon. Roto Rooter was very responsive and were at our home within an hour of my initial call. Brian was very helpful and explained exactly what had happened and what he would do. He had the line open and everything working in about 2 hours. The $350 charge for a Saturday seemed a little high but we were happy to have the problem fixed. It got interesting a few days later. As part of the drain cleaning service, Roto Rooter brings in a camera to check the sewer line. The camera showed possible breakage in the line (not a huge surprise as our house is over 60 years old). For another $550 they used pressurized air to completely clean out the line and found a break. The quote to fix that was around $2500. Fortunately, we checked around and were able to have the sewer line replaced for over $1000 less.

OK. But $200.00 was very expensive for 15 minutes of work.

Estimate was way too high. Got second opinion thank goodness! And the sales person was pushy and trying to create drama over the possibility of waiting for a second estimate.

The service was fine, but I felt it was a little expensive.

The drain in one of my bathtubs was clogged. When I called they said they would send someone out in a couple of hours even though I told him there was no urgency since I had another shower to use. The service man arrived promptly and was very nice. He cleaned the clog and explained the different parts of the tub. My only problem with him was, when I went to pay for his services I gave him an Angie's List coupon that I had printed out. They actually were offering 2 coupons from Angie's List, and the service man informs me that they don't accept coupons from Angie's List only from the Roto Rooter web site. I didn't want to argue with him but I thought to myself why do they have coupons on Angie's List if they are not going to honor them. He said that he was so busy today that he didn't have time for me to print out the Roto Rooter coupons (even though I told them I wasn't in a big hurry for the work to be done), so he would take the Angie's List coupon but it was said with a lot of attitude! Everything about the visit was great - promptness, price, courtesy, but don't give me attitude when I am paying you to do a job. And don't offer coupons if you aren't going to accept them. I was so angry all day.

He was very nice. He went above and beyond in telling me what the problem was and what the deal was. He was very informative. I had no complaints whatsoever.

We bought a home that had been winterized and the drain in the sink and one bathroom were not draining properly. We contacted Roto-Rooter to come and snake our drains. The technician came on time and looked at each drain in the house. We agreed to focus on the kitchen and bathroom (tub and sink). Some others weren't draining quickly, but he thought with use they would loosen up. He spent less than 2 hours doing the work, was quick and relatively quiet. He showed me the work he had done and that each drain was now working.

Roto-Rooter recommended that I have the sewer line "jetted", so I decided to have this done even thought it was more expensive at the serviceman's suggestion. It also gave me an extended 1 year guarantee. After about three week the line was plugged up again so I called and they came out and did the procedure again (for free based on their guarantee). The second time Roto-Rooter came out they told me that they could not honor their guarantee any longer since they thought there was a problem with the tiles in the line. So much for the 1 year extra guarantee! Yesterday the sewer line backed up again, even worse than before. Since my guarantee was no longer any good I decided to call Frecka Plumbing, who did great work for me previously. They could not snake out the line for a few days, but recommended Allen Drain Service (Kent), so I called them. They came out the same day (today), only charged $160 for snaking the line and $285 to run a video camera down the line to inspect the tiles. The reason I am mentioning this is that they pulled out a whole lot of roots that Roto-Rooter missed! Judging by the size of the roots, they said that these had been there for a while and should have been removed when Roto-Rooter did the job. Allen Drain Service then showed me the image of the inside of the line as the camera was fed down it, and there are absolutely no problems with the tiles! So it seems that Roto-Rooter was just making excuses so they wouldn't have to honor their guarantee! I will not use them again.

I was impressed with the commitment to find out what was really wrong. The serviceman was very cordial and courteous. They know what they were doing and it was efficient on the budget.

The gentleman who came out told me it was going to be $275, but it kept getting lower due to taxes and then a senior discount. He said I wouldn't have any more trouble with it, but I did. It continued to drip, not as badly, but it still dripped. So the city came out and replaced the meters and it didn't drip anymore. I might hire them to clear out a drain or something. He was very responsive in coming and getting the job done. I guess a seal wasn't tight or something.
