Precision Overhead Garage Door Service

Appointment scheduled between 4:00 and 6:00 on a Friday, Matt called to say he was on his way at 4:00 and arrived at 4:30. I explained and showed him the issue. As we lowered the garage door again ( I had left it open for access ) more of the rollers started coming out of the tracks. We managed to get the door closed and Matt methodically went over reach roller/track piece to investigate. He also tightened the springs, which in the end was the cause of the problem. After close to 3 hours of work, Matt had the door working again with no further issues. Given the time he spent on it I was very pleasantly surprised with the final cost to fix it.

After many years of having an original wooden garage door and several failed openers, I decided to get an aluminum door after the bottom panel of my old door rotted and sagged off. The sales person Jim Todd was polite and not pushy. He explained all the features, upgrades and options well and with no double-talk. The installer was magnificent and cleaned up perfectly. He even warned me to pay attention to the floor in case he missed a nail or something sharp. He really did not miss anything though and took all the nasty old wooden boards away and was super pleasant to work with (gave updates too before doing anything "permanent" to make sure I liked the setup). This company really knows their stuff, will color match HOA colors and styles and make sure everything goes smoothly. Although you do pay somewhat of a premium, if you do the math it really is worth just doing the full replacement and buying an actual GOOD opener (versus Action Door which failed so many times that I lost count of failures and band-aid dollars!). I finally invested versus paid band-aid money for door problems every year and finally feel that I have a dependable garage system that won't leave me with a surprise fiasco on the way to work on random mornings. I have zero regrets about this service and am so glad I got in touch with this company :)

Very professional & courteous. Cleaned up & gave great advice. Was pricey with 5 Yr warranty but would due to personable service & rock-solid work.

Garage door was fixed, but the price was exorbitant.

Technician able to diagnose and explain problem very well. offered choices as well. I choose to fix old unit and he did so timely.

They were very good, they even called me back to make sure I was satisfied.

I am so happy with this garage door. It is beautiful. I am so happy I went with them. I got two sets of handles and it is beautiful. The quality is excellent. I was also able to get a lifetime warranty package for $350.00. The garage door opener is so quite. They sent 2 gentlemen out and probably within and hour and a half they had the garage door up as well as the opener. I am so happy with it. I would recommend them to anyone. You can tell by looking at it from the street it is really good quality. They know what they are doing. I give them all A's.

I decided to go with replacement of everything which included a lifetime warranty. The work took less than an hour and after comparing what the door looked like before the repair, I feel lucky that I didn't have a major problem before I called for service. The service tech was also kind enough to take the time to show me how to disengage the door and reset it in the event of a power failure. I liked the chat feature on the providers website which allowed me to contact and talk with them after business hours.

On time,estimate was right on,service very timely,work looked great.Guys have a profile so one knows who is coming out. Friendly fast professional service but pricy....

We came home, garage door didn't work/open. Called Precision Door, set up an appt for the next day. The Rep (Zoran) came out and looked the door over. He went on and on about the door needing many different things so he suggested an "overhaul". He replaced the broken spring at top, 10 new rollers and a couple of bearings. Then at the end, he said to come outside and something was wrong with the door opener. He said it looked really old and it wasn't working right. I could tell that this was a way for him to get more money. The opener wasn't even 3 yrs old and it was installed by that same co. before we moved into the home by the previous owner. He ended up tweaking something on the opener and in less than 5 min. it worked just fine. Imagine that. He was here for 2 hrs. When my husband got home, he shook his head and said that I had gotten taken and I truly believe the same thing. The money we paid for this service was absurd all around. I ended up calling other co. that day and 3 different co. said they wouldn't have charged over $200.00 for the SAME service!!!!! I feel so used.

When we found out that our garage door was nonfunctional, I decided to look at garage door repair companies on the internet. Precision Overhead Garage Door Service had excellent ratings, and we can understand why. Although we did not like the idea of spending money, this was a pleasant, non-stressful experience. The receptionist who answered the phone and scheduled our appointment was very friendly, polite, and willing to help me. I called for service in the morning, and the door repair specialist, Nick, called me around 11:50 to let me know he would be at our house at 12:30 (which he was - there was no extra weekend charge). After evaluating our garage door and determining what the problem was, Nick gave us two options to fixing the door. One option was more expensive, but it gave us a lifetime warranty for all the hardware and labor. He told us that this warranty would also be extended to the hardware on a new garage door, if we ever chose to buy one. The other option was about $200 cheaper, but in the long run, the first option was the best choice. Nick was very friendly, kind, and professional, and he did not pressure us to get the more expensive option. He was finished with the repair within the time period that he quoted at the beginning. Our garage door is working much better (and quieter) than it did before it broke because the parts that were installed are superior to the old ones and he installed two springs instead of one. We were very pleased with this company and their employees, and we definitely plan to use them in the future and recommend them to our friends. It's wonderful to know that there are still reliable and trustworthy people that want to do a good job for the consumer.

I called Precision about 4:00 pm on March 19th, and told them my garage door spring broke and needs fixed. They were willing to come out right away to repair it, bit I told them. that tomorrow (3/20/15) would be good. Shortly after making the appointment, I received an E-mail from them, told me who would come out and also sent a picture of. him. That was very nice of Precision to do that because now I had a face and name. I think his name was Nick and when he shoes up, he explained what would be done and also some options I had. Nick was very professional , and very nice and friendly, and treated me like a friend instead of a customer. All I can say is this company is the best and when it comes time for more repairs or door replacement, I will definitely. call Precision Door Company. One other thing, I hired this company before becoming a member of Angies List, but because they did a wonderful job and how I was treated, I just had to give them a good review.

They supplied the door, opener, and everything. I think it was the owner’s son and he did a great job. If a friend or family member was going to hire them, I would tell them to expect the best. They were timely and they came when they said they were going to come. I thought the price was great and I just thought they did a great job. I hired them because I got on Angie’s List and they were rated A.

I called them and they were here the same day to fix the garage door. They were prompt, courteous and the service went very well.

Excellent response. Excellent service. He came on time. Easy to talk with, and he showed me how to fix it again in the spring when the concrete drive settles again. A+!

Technician was polite, knowledgeable & expedient. As I had not, to date of service, taken advantage of any Angieslist deals. I'm not sure if I erred by not mentioning Angieslist or if I don't understand the "process" when dealing with the coupon codes. I responded to an $89 garage door tune-up complete with new rollers. It was hindsight I realized I paid $89 for rollers and $550 for new motor, rollers & accessories. It seems the $89 Angieslist should have been taken into consideration when final invoice was summarized. Again, I think I was remiss in mentioning that fact. Other then the high price, I have no complaints. Having written that, I would recommend Precision Garage Doors but encourage persons to do some pricing research as I did not. After the fact, I found same service & merchandise for a significant lesser price.

Technician was knowledgeable and thorough. Did a thorough checkout of the system in addition to the repairs that I was seeking. Gave me options and I decided on the work to be completed. I was very satisfied with the service.

I did not use that deal. I was unhappy with the salesman that came out. He tried to sell me a new door and I told them that I wanted to check with other providers to get estimates on a new door because we thought we had a lot going on. I decided buying a door from someone that recommended a service provider to me. I have not use that coupon and felt $100 was spent for nothing. They wanted to charge me for additional things and a new door. It was just a bad situation. They were overpriced. He didn't want e to check with other providers.

I have a garage made of stone with little wood for attachments. It also has a slanted roof. Another company's repairman said the main issue (to gain more clearance) was unfixable. Precision's repairman Tyler came out on Tuesday, but was uncertain as to some aspects of the repair, so he returned the next day with an 'assistant manager' out of Pittsburg. They spent quite some time evaluating things and decided it could be fixed by replacing the rails with longer ones and replacing the 30-year plus hardware. Tyler came out the next afternoon and replaced the rails, the springs, the rollers, etc. In the process, the 29-year old opener finally quit. So I had him install a new opener while he was here. It cleared the roof better than the old one, so I shouldn't have marks on the door anymore. I also got about 4 more inches of clearance in the door opening. Included were 2 new remotes and a mounted opener keypad. This was a long and difficult process. It took him about 5 hours. When he finished, my neighbor had his door serviced and an opener installed. I was called prior to his arrival each day and received email confirmations of the appointments.

Two techs came out to do the work. We told them what we wanted and they gave us options and prices. They knew their products, and are really nice guys.. We selected our opening system and they installed it quickly. Then they provided details about operation and answered questions. The whole process was fast and efficient. Would we hire them again? We already did.

I ordered a $99 tune-up and roller replacement for my garage door. The door was closing roughly and often causing the opener to reverse while closing. The service rep told me that my door was covered under a warranty for an overhaul I had done several years prior and for which I had lost the paperwork. I paid for a $39 service call and he fixed things up and told me I should get a refund of the Angie's List Big Deal because the warranty covered the work. Great service from a company that could have just kept my money. Will definitely use them again in the future should the need arise.
