OUR HOME NOW HAS THE BEAUTIFUL REDDISH-HUE OF CEDAR. BECAUSE THE FINISH WAS DEVELOPED TO ENDURE ALASKAN WEATHER, I AM ASSURED CONTINUED MAINTENANCE WILL BE MINIMAL. THIS IS NOT EXTERIOR HOME PAINTING. THIS IS NOT A HIGH-PRESSURE SPRAY WASH. THIS IS REFINISHING OF EXTERIOR WOOD TO ITS ORIGINAL BEAUTY. THE PRICE IS VERY, VERY REASONABLE CONSIDERING THE LABOR INVOLVED AND THE FINISHED PRODUCT.
Description of Work: OUR FOUR-LEVEL SPLIT HOME HAD CEDAR-PLANK SIDING. IT HAD 20+ YEARS OF BOILED LINSEED OIL COATING IN VARIOUS STAGES OF DETERIORATION WHICH APPEARED EITHER BLACK OR DARK BROWN. USING A SPECIAL REMOVER AND A HOT WATER SPRAY, THE OLD FINISH WAS REMOVED. THIS WAS VERY LABOR INTENSIVE. THEN, AFTER TESTING THE WOOD FOR THE PROPER LOW-LEVEL OF MOISTURE, ONE COAT OF QUALITY ALASKAN FINISHES WAS APPLIED, BY ROLLER, TO THE ENTIRE HOUSE. THIS SAME PROCEDURE WAS REPEATED ON THE NEXT THREE DRY DAYS. A TOTAL OF FOUR COATS OF QUALITY ALASKAN FINISHES WAS APPLIED.

QUALITY VERY POOR FOR THE PRICE AND WE HAVE A SMALL AREA TO BE CLEANED. THEY ALSO RAISED THE PRICE 10% AFTER 3 MONTHS. THEY WERE NOT VERY THOROUGH EVEN THOUGH IT SEEMED LIKE THEY WERE HERE A LOT LONGER THAN THEY NEEDED TO BE.
