+ -1 moreRon Ott came out to see our place. He did identify some carpentry work that will also be needed that we did not know about. His quote was completed and sent to us in a timely manner. The quotes from the other two contractors were within a few percentage points of each other. At $24,860.00, the quote from Ott Painting was almost double the others. We decided to hire one of the other two contractors. The work has not yet been done.
Description of Work: We are planning to stain / paint our cedar home and two other buildings. The work will include significant prep work (including but not limited to pressure wash, treat mildew, plug carpenter bee and woodpecker holes, replace caulking and flashing as necessary, sand and prime as applicable) as well as stain and paint. We requested price quotes from Ott Painting as well as from two other contractors on Angie's List.

+ -1 moreThis company is more expensive than the normal painting contractor, but they are definitely worth the money. Our home looks brand new and I did not have to worry about a thing. Each day they arrived around 7:15 a.m. and stayed almost until 7:30 p.m. It took a week to complete the work, but when the weather prevented them from working on a day they called at 8:00 a.m. to make sure I knew they would not be there. Ron Ott is a meticulous painter and repairman. If I can afford him I will never use anyone else! If Ron was unsure about anything he always called. He matched our paint color when other contractors told us we would have to pick another one.
Description of Work: Company powerwashed, prepped, repaired, and painted the exterior of our cedar home including all doors, windows, and trim. They fixed approximately six woodpecker holes as well as many areas damaged by carpenter bees. They also tapped in our siding where it was beginning to detach from the house. Painted mailbox and touched up the deck as well (which I did not ask for, but they did anyway.)

+ -1 moreRon and his crew are well worth the money. He is not the cheapest painter on the block, but you truly get what you pay for. He arrives on time, confirms appointments, and cleans up after the job. We have a wrap around deck surrounding our sunroom that he completely tented before beginning the paint job so as to make sure that no paint wound up on our windows and walls. He does not rush a job simply to get it done. He works fast, but when there is detail involved he does not cut corners. His crewmembers are courteous and respectful of their surroundings. I will be using Ron again in the future.
Description of Work: power washed, stripped, repaired, and refinished deck Painters also fixed gate handles and stairs which were not included in the quote or the pricing as an added bonus
