Description of Work: We were concerned about the structural soundness of the joists/beams in our basement. The inspector was extremely knowledgeable and professional. He took his time to walk through and explain the cause, potential issues, and how to correct. He thoroughly answered any questions we had. A written report (good level of detail) was also included in the price, and was emailed to us a couple hours after the inspection. Highly recommended.

+ -1 moreAWESOME JOB! KEITH IS EVERYTHING: THE SALESMAN, ENGINEER, AND HANDS-ON WORKER SO YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR! THE REPAIR WAS WELL-DESIGNED. HE DID NOT SKIMP AT ALL AND INSTALLED MORE THAN THE MINIMUM! INSTEAD OF JUST ATTATCHING THE DOWNSPOUT TO THE NEW FOOTER HE INSTALLED A SEPARATE DOWNSPOUT DRAINPIPE SO THE FOOTER WOULDN'T FLOOD DURING RAIN. HE ALSO INSTALLED TWO ACCESS PIPES FOR SNAKING THE OTHER OLDER PIPES IF NEEDED. THE ''B'' IS ONLY BECAUSE HE LEFT ME HANGING ON DAY #1. BECAUSE IT RAINED A LITTLE HE HAD POSTPONED THE START UNTIL TUESDAY BUT DIDN'T LET ME KNOW. HE HAD PREV REQUESTED I BE ON-HAND TO ALLOW THEM INSIDE ENTRY. WHILE I HAD ABSOLUTELY NO PROBLEM WITH THAT, HE SHOULD HAVE CALLED. BECAUSE HE DIDN'T, I TOOK TIME OFF OF WORK TO GO HOME AND WAITED 2 HOURS UNTIL WE CALLED HIM ASKING WHERE HE WAS. I WAS PRETTY PEEVED THAT I DIDN'T GET A CALL SO I WOULDN'T WASTE MY TIME. HOWEVER, WORK STARTED THE NEXT DAY AND THE FINAL PRODUCT AND OVERALL EXP. FAR OUTWEIGHS THAT ''BAD MONDAY"
Description of Work: CONTRACT: EXCAVATE 18-FT SECTION OF BASEMENT WALL, HYDRAULICALLY-JACK AND STRAIGHTENED BOWED WALL BACK INTO PLACE, CLEAN/WATERPROOF WALL EXTERIOR, INSTALLED AND CONNECTED PVC FOOTER DRAINPIPE, BACKFILL WITH GRAVEL, REINFORCED INSIDE-WALL WITH 2 EZ-BRACES (EPOXIED, HIGH-STRENGTH METAL STRAPS), MORTAR-FILL SELECT CINDERBLOCK CELLS TO REINFORCED HORIZONTAL CRACK, REMOVE EXCESS DIRT. ALSO INCLUDED WAS HAUL-AWAY OF EXCAVATED MATERIAL AND REMOVAL OF ONLY THE REQUIRED WALL-MOUNTED FURNITURE. EXTRAS: INSTALLED TWO ACCESS PIPES FOR SNAKING THE OLDER DRAIN LINES (INSTALLED DECADES AGO) IF NEEDED YEARS FROM NOW. REROUTED DOWNSPOUT AWAY FROM FOOTER DRAIN WITH SEPARATE PVC PIPE (BETTER DRAINAGE EFFICIENCY). ALTHOUGH IT WASN'T NECESSARY, HE ALSO ADDED MULCH TO NEIGHBOR'S MULCHED PLOTS (WHERE IT GOT WHITE-DUSTY FROM OUR REPAIRS).
