He removed a piece of the subfloor and found there was no damage to the wood floor under it.

I had two confirmations via E-mail for my appointment and the contractor never showed nor called me to let me know he would not be there. Very unprofessional!

The handyman did good work. Everything looked sturdy. About 2 months later, my neighbor told me the handyman let him in to look around. I feel like this is a breech of my trust. I tried to call Handyman Connection and their receptionist would refuse to give me her name and asked why I took so long to give them a call. They told me the owner is on vacation and he can get back to me in about a week.

Sam arrived within a few days of initial request to provide an estimate for the work, and completed the work same day. He was very professional and efficient, and cleaned up after completing the work. We have already hired this company for another job in a few weeks.

Work was timely, done professionally, and Kevin provided daily updates. Results were very professional. Lately, we have been having problems scheduling them to do additional work. They seem very busy and don't have very good follow up from the front office to make sure the customer is happy. It has been disappointing. Once they are on the job, everything goes well

it went pretty good - the gutters have held up through lots of snow and ice. i have a steep pitched roof and the old ones were not installed correctly and pulled away. the new one looks great. there was one small issue that i fixed myself. nothing that would keep me from using them again.

I live out of state and have a rental home that needed a handful of things done before new tenants moved in. I met with Jason and went over everything I needed. I chose to just buy 8 hours of handyman services for $399. For the day, he patched and repaired ceiling plaster, patched and repaired a wall, installed a new exhaust fan in the bathroom, and installed a new garbage disposal. I purchased the materials myself and just paid labor. I was very pleased with the price and quality of work. I would use them again.

Horrendous experience Signed contract to have provider install tin back splash in kitchen on June 10th. Work was to be done 6/17 but they called the day before and said their truck had broken down and no date could be given to re-schedule, I found this odd since I had all the supplies and contractor only needed hand tools; a car would have sufficed. Finally called 6/23 and said they'd be out the next day. I told Dave at the office that we did not want the work to be performed on our new granite island because 1) we had never used their services before and 2)we recently had a contractor do damage to our house and refuse to accept culpability for it and 3) we have a right to protect our costly investment! Contractor showed up 6/24 (ten minutes late) with an assistant. As he was setting up I asked a simple question and he instantly got mad, stared at me for 5 minutes and finally said, "I'll show my self out" and walked out the door! I was astounded. Although the assistant apologized, my calls to the office went unanswered so I can only assume they condone this type of behavior. Since I was paying for this service I believe I deserve respect no matter how stupid the contractor thinks my question is. This type of behavior is totally unprofessional and unethical; the main office is no better. Well the jokes on Handyman Connection-I found a local guy who was 50% cheaper, did a wonderful job and was very pleasant to work with. That being said, I wouldn't hire Handyman Connection (of Akron) to change a light bulb!

I was really happy with the quality of the work performed and the timeliness of the work. I just moved to Akron so I didnt know anyone who could refer me to a handyman. Handyman Connection sent over someone VERY qualified and he did a FABULOUS job.

I called from out of town and from start to finish everything was handled in the best possible way. Will be using these guys for all the work that I need done on our home.

William Davis and Doug came in and installed new lighting and removed the old lighting and patched the holes where the old lights were.

William Davis and Doug came to our home and did a great job of installing the Travertine floor and trim.

Will and Doug came by and installed the hardwood flooring and did a wonderful job. They were both very respectful and professional.

William came by and did an excellent job of cutting the stone on the fireplace.

Wasn't able to do the repairs

Any homeowner, especially a first time owner in an unfamiliar town, needs an all-purpose handyman. Handyman connection linked us with Stephen Rhodes, an area specialist in home improvement and remodeling. We work through HC and Steve to identify and repair small and large jobs that we can't take care of ourselves, from figuring out how to patch a hole in our roof/gutter area to installing a custom-fit storm door and finding a place to order the door. HC can occasionally take longer than expected to respond to our requests for service, but the handyman they sent -- Stephen Rhodes -- was prompt, professional and friendly, very capable, and honest. We recommend both the service and Stephen.

I previously discussed with David(?)on the phone that I wasnt sure if it was a multiple man job. I told him it was pretty big and there was glass which went over the top with screws, etc. The handyman came and looked it over and decided he could do the job himself. After getting started, he came to me and let me know there was a problem with the screws holding steady. I told him whatever it took to keep in place. He said he would have to go and get more materials. I was going to lunch and I said sure. After I came back i saw that he had installed the mural. He directed me over to the mural and showed me the scratched paint on the brand new wall. He offered to touch it up but our company had the wall done by a contractor, so we didn't have any excess paint to touch up. He cleaned up the glass, then offered to sweep but at that point I was just trying to get him out of here. I signed the approval sheets and paid my bill. After he left someone else in the office went in and looked at it and said the picture was off center.

He showed up on time and did a quick professional job.

He came out and did a good job. I thought the price was reasonable. Do not worry when you call them, they send out the good person to do the job. He was late once but it was because he was caught in traffic.

SAME Contractor came out to give bid. He called two hours before our appointment and said he could only come now, not later. I knew he specialized in woodworking so I asked if he would be doing this job....he said he guessed so. I asked if he had ever removed wallpaper, he said, "I THINK once....all you do is wet down the paper with a sponge and scrape it off." Well, I told him I had removed a LOT of wallpaper and didn't want to tackle this job because it was in our two story entry way. He asked me how I remove wallpaper! The bid ended up being much higher than the other bids we had received, so it was super easy to JUST SAY NO!

Repairman came to our house, assessed the problem and fixed it right there! He didn't even charge us. We would definitely use them again.
