We cannot thank Steve, Jen and their crew enough for the work they did in our home. They took a challenging space that was by far the most dated, poorly laid out and aesthetically unpleasing location in our house and completely re-imagined it. From our initial consultations with Steve through the entire project, we had regular back and forth communication that helped to build, sustain and cement our confidence in the process. Both Steve and Jen (and the crew) were helpful in helping us choose appliances, styles, colors and vendors. They never rushed us to make a decision and gave us reasonable timetables well in advance. Steve gave us a 5-6 week project window, and was right on schedule throughout. We interviewed four different contracting companies as we prepared to begin this project. Steve was the only person who made us feel both confident in his abilities, and honest in his projection of the task. Early on, he suggested that the quote we got and signed would be the eventual result. There wouldn't be any hidden fees, should he find something unexpected. Sure enough, Steve found something unexpected in the demolition (a hidden structural steel support that needed to be moved.) After consulting with his engineers and coming up with a solution, his crew of four guys took an entire day (maybe more?) to move the beam further into our ceiling and bring it to code. For this additional work and consultation, Steve didn't charge us an additional penny. It goes without saying that the crew is amazing. Each day, they showed up on time, cleaned up before they left, and were very respectful of our home. On a few days, we lived in the house while they working, and they were awesome with our two elementary school-aged boys. From letting the boys watch them to drawing pictures for them of their upcoming tasks, you couldn't have asked for nicer guys. The crew has such an eye for detail and asked us questions each day to make sure their vision aligned with ours. The end result is absolutely stunning. For two rookies who have never done such a significant remodel, we never would have been able to do this without everyone at Boyd. A huge thanks to Steve, Jen, Nate, Ron, Dale, Adam, Tommy and everyone else that came over and became a part of our family for a month and a half!

There isn’t enough space in this review to cover all the amazing work this crew did! Professional, punctual, thoughtful of our living space, very helpful in helping make design decisions when needed, but mostly providing exactly what was needed and wanted! They let us choose our own materials (tile, flooring, stone, etc), without requiring us to use specific vendors. They also provided quotes on additional items that we could chose to do or not do. When spending this amount of money, you really expect a lot, and I don’t have a single reservation that we got every pennies worth. Would not hesitate to recommend or work with them again. Beyond happy with the way the refinishing of our hardwood floors and new rod iron railing turned out!! Working with them was wonderful. They always showed up when they said they would and kept in communication with all updates and scheduling. Would hire again immediately!

They did a great job! In and out in three days for our hallway, office and sanded and stained our kitchen banister. The floors were pretty beat up and they made them look brand new. Very professional! Couldn’t beat the price point. Definitely recommend! We will be calling Boyd Construction when we are ready to remodel our basement!

Started ealier than expected by a month or so. Showed up each day when they said they would and worked the entire day. Cleaned after each days work. Told wife and I everything they were doing and when. Any questions, they asked us to look at it and gove opinion. Boss checked in two or three times throughout and wanted to know if we needed anything. These folks pay extra particular attention to veterans and families. As I am a disabled veteran, when they started the quote process, they called and asked if I would accept the job for free for serving our country. It just can't go any better. God Bless Boyd Construction and their employees. I am not too good with camera phone, but I will try to attach them.

From the initial phone call I made for a quote, to completion of project, we can not be happier with the company. Extremely professional, and the quality of the job performed is exceptional. They were always on time, and took pride in everything they did. I cannot speak highly enough of the technicians that completed the project. Great Job!!

The job went very well. They had an opening in their schedule and got our kitchen a couple weeks before original plan which worked better with our schedule. They did excellent work and took care of all the many small details.

My floors were absolutely ruined after 12 years and I thought for sure they would need replaced. Boyd came in, stripped and sanded the floors to a clean wood finish, then stained and sealed. The floors are more beautiful than the day they were first installed! I couldn’t be happier with their work, the quality, the professionalism, speed and neatness. I wish I had done it years sooner! Worth every dollar 😉

We were extremely impressed with Boyd and would enthusiastically recommend them as they offered us the best value in terms of price, service and quality of work. They were much more specific in their bid specs and explained every step in the process as well as their timeline. They were quick to respond to every question and request in a timely manner and gave us a progress report at the end of each day. They finished the job on time, according to our agreed upon schedule, and the quality of their work was even better than expected. We couldn't be happier with the overall experience and will definitely work with them again!

Not well. No problem with window quality. Very first rain after window was installed got muddy water in the basement the grading around the plastic walls poor not near enough gravel was used soil was pitched toward the house and With a big gaps against the house you could watch rain water flow into gaps running down the basement wall. When I called the owner, he said it’s a drain problem without coming out to look at it. Totally arrogant as if it couldn’t be there workmanship. I had my doubts but nonetheless called Ash sewer and drain to snake the drain. It was stuffed with stones but just as I saw the drain employee pointed out the grading was pitched toward the house and running down the walls of the gaps where the framing meets foundation blocks and said was one of poorest jobs he’d ever seen. Once you pay this company they are not responsive or responsible.

Boyd Construction completed the job in a professional, friendly, and timely manner. The entire team we worked with were all very good and great to work with. We are very happy and satisfied with the work and the remodeling process.

Boyd Construction did excellent work sanding, staining, and top coating the floors. Professional, fast, friendly, and expert work. We are very satisfied with the value and quality of the work.

Tim did an excellent job of repairing a few areas of minor damage. He matched the existing stain beautifully. I little pricey, perhaps, but I would use them again. Very pleased overall with the work.

They were to busy to stop by and gave estimate over the phone but then never returned my call.

Went very well. Team of three showed up on first day and spent the entire day on the job. I left for work entrusting them to the house. Came home that day to find the job 90% complete with one individual coming by the next day to finish up. Overall pleased with the work, although things were a bit dustier/messier than I expected at the finish. Clean up was definitely performed, just still a decent amount of dust and a bit of paint splatter.

Everything went great! In an era where it’s hard to find a reliable contractor, Boyd fit the bill hands down. Steve was responsive in setting up an appointment and keeping all of his commitments. Steve or Jen replied to all emails even in the evening and on weekends. Never made to feel like a bother to them. Price was very competitive. Not the cheapest and not the most expensive. The team arrived on the day committed and worked everyday until the job was done. They even went above and beyond in a couple of areas to make sure everything looked right. Couldn’t ask for a better crew. They even noticed a piece of siding sticking out from the house and just fixed it. Wasn’t their job. They easily deserve the A rating based on my experience. The crew looked to do things the right way and not just the quickest and easiest. A benefit to having an experienced crew who have been in the business for many years. Would happily use them again for any project!

We have a garage structure and the bottom treated lumber boards had all begun to rot out, so he had to replace all the bottom boards that support the structure. he also suggested that instead of dirt, use gravel so the wood will not rot again. he dropped off the wood ahead of time so we could pre stain it ahead of installation. I would like to nominate him for a super service award. Mr Boyd was a really pleasure to work. I had some other people to ask for the service but with Mr Boyd, it was an easy transaction to get a schedule.

Ronnie was very helpful as this was a new experience for my husband and myself. He was very patient. He assisted us in every aspect of this job. I would and have referred this company to everyone. The entire experience could not have been any more positive.
