Initially the workers were performing their work. Yet, the day that they felt it was completed they demand to be paid. We said that they had to wait until the work was inspected by University Heights Housing Department. Of course this was the proper way to conduct business, but on the first day an inspector came out because he said that there was no permit taken out by the company. I had called Angie's List to inquire about the company and the rep said that basically they had mostly good reports except Basement Care is the same logo for Basement Doctor coming out of Akron. Since our complaints with you and the courts they seemed to have change or altered their name. Here is the real information: that followed on the day that they wanted their money. We had limestone patio. I was looking out of the kitchen window and one of the workers to a medium size piece and thew it down and broke it. He lied when confronted. They took the arrangement of stones which were organized and laid them with some others broken in any arrangement. We reported this to you folks along with pictures. My husband was 74 and they wanted him to pick up those heavy stones. They initially agreed to buy and replace the broken ones, but after calling continuously for over a month we finally took them to court. The boss wanted to pay for half of the cost. He refused to do any more,, we have tried to go back to court, but it was left up to us to get the money. In the mean time we had a leak in the basement. Due to the disrespectful way that the company treated us we did not wish to have them back out, but I called anyway to see if the owner would be respectful enough to at least talk to us. Yet nothing on that or on paying us the $500 to get our patio repaired. So we had to go have it all replace. So would I recommend them no. He even refused to follow the courts orders. I truly believe that this Basement Doctors with the same logo and in the same city of Akron is the same company as Basement Care.

Bobby Miles, the owner, is a hands-on professional. He oversaw the waterproofing of the crawl space with complete encapsulation, installed a new sump pump and installed a sani dry. He also installed a new access door and sealed vents. Bobby is a man of his word. If there is any problem, he will fix it. The product was well worth the money.

They arrived when they said they would and did a very good job and the price was half of what anyone else was asking. There were two minor issues: 1. some of the debris made its way to the floor drain and clogged the drain. They sent a plumber to snake the drain and they paid for the repairs so it was not that big of a deal. 2. they left the basement a bit dirty (didn't wipe down the walls and left some dust on the floor from the jackhammer). But these were minor issues compared with the price and overall quality. We are very happy with the work. The basement hasn't leaked and there hasn't been any signs of water since they did the work. Highly recommended!
